About: I currently have two dogs at home that have been raised since they were puppies. I provide consistent routines for our dogs and am confident in my ability to provide stability for your dogs while you are away from home. My home has a fenced off area indoors and outdoors to give your dogs plenty of space to roam around and not have to be fully cooped up all day. I will help your dogs have a home away from home. I currently have a full time job, but my job also allows for work from home so my schedule is based on my ability to be home during your pet’s stay. Even if I need to be in office, I can come home during my lunch break for 30 minutes to tend to the dogs. On weekends I will be home and only go out for a few hours at a time for groceries. I am very familiar with crate training and other simple tricks for dogs. I always feed all dogs separately to ensure no food guarding occurs and we monitor the dogs throughout meal time. I am comfortable with feeding basic medications if needed.

About: Hi there! My name is Melenyn and I’m a college student who loves animals and would like to have a side hustle I really enjoy! I’ve taken care of pets of all shapes and sizes since I was a kid for family, friends, neighbors, and of course, my own. I am the older sister of a rambunctious chocolate lab who I have trained and cared for since she was a pup. I have a bit of experience caring, helping create new routines, and training elderly dogs and puppies. No matter what stage of life a dog is at, I have always found a way to adapt to changes and make sure they stay happy, healthy, and safe I’m currently a third year college student and also work part time as a cleaner at a retail store. Due to the post holiday season, my hours have been cut, and I typically work from 5 AM to 9:30 AM on weekends. For school, I have classes scheduled from 9 AM to 11 AM. Although I do have work and college, I can absolutely pet sit or walk immediately afterwards. While I can not currently offer sitting services at my residence, I am open to overnight house sitting as long as you are okay with me going to work and class when needed. I will always let you know about my availability beforehand :) Safety: Over the years, I have come to learn that the best way to keep your pet or other people’s pets safe is creating trust between pet-owner or pet-sitter. I usually do this by introducing myself to any pet by letting them sniff me first. I do not immediately pet a dog upon first meeting them, I will always put a hand out first to let them sniff me as to not overwhelm them or stress them out. By fostering this immediate trust, the dog knows that I am not a threat to them, and it makes walks, playtime, and care easy. I also think that in order to foster a sense of safety, you have to keep a space clean and organized. I pick up any messes such as spills or toys, to avoid any injuries to pets, I also disinfect and throw out trash when needed to avoid any diseases or illnesses. As for walks, I tend to go for the leash and collar provided by the owner(s) and inquire beforehand if their dog is allowed to be let loose to avoid, not just the potential for a missing dog, but also any conflict with other dogs or animals at parks. Trust: Above all, I have always made it a point to keep open and friendly communication with owners by sending them constant updates with text messages and have recently started incorporating pictures in the mix to ensure their pets are happy and healthy. Because every dog and owner has their own experiences, routines, and personalities, I ask a lot of questions regarding their personalities, their day-to-day routine, meal times, walk times, any health and medication I should know about, etc.. I believe that in order to foster trust, there needs to be open, frequent, and transparent communication between the pet sitter and owner. As a dog owner, and someone who has pet sat for loved ones and neighbors before, I understand how daunting it is to allow a stranger in your home and near your pets. About: Aside from having cared for my toy poodle for 12 years until he passed, I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family either during the day or entire vacation. Followed owners’ instructions and gave needed updates on pets’ wellbeing. I’m currently a full time student at community college Monday through Thursday, so while I am capable of being home in between classes, your pets will be able to have my full attention and care Friday through Sunday nights. I have a two story house with a fenced yard for your pets to play. I will abide by whatever instructions required to care for your babies, crate and frequently give potty breaks and walks. About: I have personal experience taking care of various different animals and owning various different animals. I currently have a 15-year-old snake and I have had her whole life, a one 6 month old kitten that I adopted after fostering through the local animal shelter, and one adult cat that I adopted as a rescue. I have over four years of experience, fostering cats, and kittens from local animal, shelters or nonprofits. I currently work full-time, but I am allotted two 15 minute breaks, a one hour lunch, open evenings and weekends off. I would love to take care of your fur babies during my off time. About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, birds, bunny’s and even chinchillas for my neighbors, friends and family. They have relied on me to feed and take care of their pets as they would themself! I have a cat, but if your dog does not like cats, I can isolate may cat from your dog. My big dog seems to have a way of knowing how to make dogs feel comfortable in our home. He knows when to interact with them and when to just leave them alone. I am retired so I have lots of time to spend with your dog. I try to schedule my activities around when I have dogs, so I can devote all my time to caring for the dogs. I have a fenced in yard. I always supervise dogs when they are outside. I try to set up play dates with a neighbor who also works for Rover. My husband and family members are usually around to play with and take dogs on walks. I am currently transforming my services to focus more on training sessions in my client’s home. My main focus is working with young pups and to start training from day one, although I welcome the opportunity to train dogs of all ages. My goals are to offer support to dog owners on how to properly train desired behaviors in their dogs. I closely monitor all dogs, especially during play. I train the dogs how to play appropriately with each other. I will only crate dogs if it’s for their own safety. The only services I do in a client’s home are training sessions with the client present.

About: I’ve had my own fur baby for over 2 years after rescuing her from the trash and I’ve had dogs at home growing up. She is now registered as an emotional support animal for my son. We both went to a dog training school for 3 months. I am currently a stay at home mom and have the time as my son is in school and husband is working. We are regularly at home or going to parks in the afternoon. I keep the surrounding of my home secured not just for my pet but for my child. I am used to checking doors are closed behind my back. The majority of the time my pup is inside in her designated area and is let out occasionally for potty and water/food breaks.

About: With years of hands-on experience caring for dogs since age 15, I bring calm, reliable, and high-attention care to every pet I work with. I’ve volunteered with the Humane Society and a local Bay Area puppy rescue, and I’m especially confident supporting puppies, senior pets, and animals who require extra medical attention. I’ve raised two dogs of my own—Player (a full-sized Collie) and Kona (a toy Maltipoo)—and have provided ongoing care for an Australian Shepherd (from 8 weeks old through adulthood), a senior German Shepherd, and a Bengal cat. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, loved, and completely at home while keeping routines and care instructions consistent, while letting you feel reassured your pet is in good hands while you are away with as many updates as you’d like! I have open availability so I am able to drop by for walks, check-ins, or overnight stays as you need. I find that keeping the dog in their own environment is the least stressful to them. I am able to accommodate whatever you and your fur baby needs! I do have a fenced in yard with no current animals in the house, however I find it best for me to stay in the dogs normal environment vs bringing them into a new one. I am open to discussing if you prefer I keep them at my place, but heavily prefer staying at your home with them.

About: I have lived with animals all my life and I love spending as much time as I can with them. A house is not a home without fur babies! I am currently in nursing school and do lots of studies at home. But when I take breaks, I love to get fresh air and exercise when I can. About: A dog’s trust is earned, and I’ve had many experiences with dogs of various sizes, temperaments and ages. I volunteer at an animal shelter, which has allowed me to pick up on behaviors and quirks, and improved my ability to adapt to anything unpredictable. Safety and comfortability is my utmost priority, but that doesn’t mean I won’t try my hardest to make sure your dog is having fun! I am a uni student, so my free time may vary depending on the day. However I am pretty flexible with time when I’m not commuting or in class, as school is my biggest obligation at the moment. I am easy to reach so I can also send more updates when there’s changes in my schedule. I value safety and comfortability as I believe pets should be regarded on the same level as children. Pets are a lifelong commitment and responsibility, without safety, they can’t feel comfortable. I truly believe animals are the happiest when they feel safe. I currently have a cat who stays indoors but is given the opportunity to go outdoors when the weather is nice (under supervision). She has plenty of toys to keep her mind stimulated, places to hide if she feels overwhelmed, and comfy areas for her to snooze in.
