“Such a sweet sweet girl. Incredibly trustworthy and reliable. Took such great care of my two huskies, giving special attention to our unique needs. Go3s above and beyond. Worth every penny.”

“Niiyah was so fabulous! I loved all of the updates and photos, and I was completely at ease the entire time knowing my animals were in capable, caring hands. You can tell from the photos that our animals absolutely loved her. We will definitely be booking with her again for our next trip!”

“It was our first time leaving our dog for over a week and Aubrey was awesome! We went from being nervous about finding somewhere to board him or have a sitter and she instantly made us feel confident he would be well taken care of. She was very responsive, gave updates, and photos of our big guy. Our dog doesn't trust most people but he instantly warmed up to her when they met. If I could give you 10 stars I would, thank you Aubrey!”

“Brittany and her husband did a great job with Buddy again. This is my second time using them. Buddy is a very anxious dog and they were able to give him the proper medications (which isn't easy), gave me regular updates and kept the house nice and tidy. Buddy would follow them around and he adores her and her husband. The heater even went out in my house while they were there and they were very flexible and understanding about the situation. I am so grateful for them and appreciate that they were so willing to watch Buddy over the holidays. Thank you both for everything. :)”

“Keishla is great. My pup loves her and even with an injury, she gave Rocco lots of love and exercise. She was great about sending updates, pictures, and responding. She took great care of my home too.”

“Erika was amazing! We came home to two very happy and healthy dogs. One of my dogs is paralyzed in the hind end and requires bowel and bladder expression. Erika was able to provide that service for us and we were able to go on vacation with peace of mind! She is a great communicator and sent regular photos and updates!! Highly recommend and will use again!!”

“Kerstin is wonderful! She stayed with our two pups and kept us updated while we were away, and went above and beyond by coming back to check in on our girls and feed them when our flight connections failed and our homecoming was delayed. My husband and I are grateful she looked after our dogs so well, she made us all feel like family.”

“Nhi was amazing with my little guy. Kept me updated the entire time she was at my house. Can't express my gratitude enough 🤍🤍 I have a feeling Batty & Nhi are going to see each other again real soon!”

“Larisa is absolutely wonderful! She is very attentive, detail oriented, and very quick to respond. She played and loved our sweet Hazel girl as if she was her own. I highly recommend Larisa to anyone and will definitely be booking with her again! 🤗💗🐶🐾”

“Noel did a great job taking care of Daphne making my trip possible. Very good with communicating and pictures. Kept her busy with games and walks. Hoping she will be available for future stays!”

“Jessie was great with my pup! He is over 6 years old and this was his first experience with an overnight pet sitter. Jessie was very communicative, sending pictures and updates throughout the stay, making me feel comfortable while I was away. She also followed his routine perfectly so he also felt very comfortable with her. Definitely hope to work with Jessie again!”

About: I grew up on a "farm" with chickens, horses, cats, and dogs and have grown to be a bit of a crazy cat lady. I am the proud mom of five fur babies (three cats, two dogs) as well as four human babies (adults now). I am an boring, responsible professional and I would like to help out other families looking for a responsible pet sitter. I am extremely responsible and organized, and I'm "that mom" that takes care of everyone. My home is tidy and I am crazy about clean. I'm also extremely empathetic regarding animals and their care and comfort is always my highest priority. I know how hard it can be to find a responsible sitter you can trust and feel comfortable with and hopefully I can help other families feel safe and comfortable when they have to be away from their fur-kids. I've had senior pets and pets with medical issues. I have experience with senior animals and animals that need light medical assistance (meds, etc). I work remotely so I'm available most all the time. I occasionally (a few times a week) go into my office but that is flexible. I have my own family at home caring for our animals so they are taken care of. I'll completely honor your requests, and I have experience with senior animals needing special accommodations and/or meds. My moto is "your house, your rules". I will care for your animals like my own (and mine are SUPER spoiled and comfy!) I work a normal nine to five job that is very flexible and I can work from home occasionally. During the day I have a very flexible schedule to check in during the day. I definitely believe in caring for your pets however you direct. For drop-ins, I will always try to spend as much time as possible with your pet so they don't get too lonley and so I can note any issues that come up.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - La Riviera
We truly felt that our pups were in good hands while we were gone for the weekend. Larisa was very kind, communicative, and thorough with all of our instructions! She gave our older pup all of his meds appropriately and was mindful of their different personalities. We would definitely rebook with her in the future!

Jordan immediately took to our babies. She knelt down and let our husky come to her while she talked with me on our meet and greet. During our trip, we got adorable pics and updates (complete with tiny kitten snoozing on her leg and pics of the other shier cat out and about) and it really put us at ease. She was kind and fun and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend Jordan!

Anna stayed with my two dogs for a full-day house sitting. She was on time and texted when she arrived so I knew they weren’t alone. Anna sent numerous photos throughout the day and kept in touch. She even sent photos of their lunch that she made. (They’re spoiled with homemade lunches) I checked in a couple times because I’m as needy as the dogs and she was quick to respond. She also took them for a walk before it got too hot. We set up a meet and greet before the house sitting and she was on time, courteous, and friendly with my dogs right away. I will definitely use her again to sit with my dogs.

Bailey's first weekend with a pet sitter. First, Whitney is an excellent communicator and very responsive. She is thorough with her notes and came to our meeting prepared. The pictures, videos, and daily updates were greatly appreciated. And best of all, we came home to a very happy and content puppy. Baily is a 1.5-year-old mini Aussie with lots of energy.

We had a wonderful experience with Natalie! From the very beginning, communication was clear, friendly, and professional. She took the time to understand our dog’s routine, preferences, and quirks, which immediately put us at ease. During the stay, we received regular updates, including photos and messages, which made it so much easier to be away. When we returned, our dog was relaxed and content, which says everything. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend Natalie to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive sitter!

Rachel was incredible! She took such great care of my dog, Estrella, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She was reliable, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I came home to a happy, relaxed pup and a spotless space. I would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her! ✨

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in La Riviera on Rover is $64.82 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred La Riviera walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in La Riviera maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in La Riviera choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
