“I came home to my pets and household in excellent shape after a week away. My elderly Swissie is no easy chore, with many needs and health concerns, and Nhi handled everything perfectly. I'm grateful for her attention to detail and concern for the animals and my home. I look forward to booking her again!”
“Great experience! Gabby was Awesome!!! On-time, super easy, and responsive! She took very good care of our doggies and our home!!! We will definitely reach out to Gabby in the future!!! Thank you!!!”
“Our pup is in his super senior years, and we’ve been looking for an option other than boarding when we go out of town. Lately, he has been very uncomfortable and exhausted when we pick him up, even when we’ve spent extra cash to book him a “tranquility suite”. We just got home after having Aicha stay and our pup is super happy, relaxed, and not in any pain. Keeping him in his own house is exactly what he needed. We will absolutely book with Aicha again when we take our next trip. She sent several pictures, responded quickly to our messages, and even won over our grumpy cat! Thanks, Aicha!”
“Charlie and Alex my Scottish Terriers are 7.5 years old, and Claire my cat is 17 years old. Besides me who never goes anywhere because I don't trust anybody to watch these three, my mom is the only other person who has spent time with them. I needed to take a trip out of town for 9 days and I was stressed. Then I found Brittany. Alex is my guard dog. Charlie welcomes everybody. Brittany came in with doggie treats. Charlie immediately fell in love with her, Alex was guarded. In 5 minutes she had won Alex over. He was sitting right next to her as if it were me sitting on the couch. It was then and there that I knew she was the one I could trust to watch my group. I have pretty extensive instructions I'm one of those people and she followed it to a tee. Brittany well send you photos and video clips of your pets as often or as little as you want to make you feel comfortable. I was able to be away and know that Charlie and Alex and Claire were all being very well taken care of. Claire took a little bit of time to warm up but she did come around. Bonus, Brittany also tidied up my house for me. I would highly recommend her hands down. In fact I'm trying to see if she could help me in September.”

“Noel did a great job taking care of Daphne making my trip possible. Very good with communicating and pictures. Kept her busy with games and walks. Hoping she will be available for future stays!”

“Ava stayed in our house to care for our elderly diabetic cat while my husband and I were out of town. She administered 2 injections and 2 pills per day, in addition to his regular care and feeding. She also played with him, brushed him, and gave us daily updates on how he was doing. It was wonderful to know our little guy was in good hands! We got home yesterday to a relaxed, well-cared for cat! I recommend Ava without hesitation, and I will definitely hire her again in the future when the need arises.”

“We feel lucky to have had Kyle care for Fido while we travelled to see family and friends. Kyle was prompt and good humored in all our interactions. Fido was relaxed and eating well after we returned, testifying to the good care from Kyle.”

“Diana is so kind and generous! We have two animals and she came over twice to make sure she understood how to take care of them. Each time, she was a complete delight and also she kept me updated with updates on how my fur babies were doing. I couldn’t recommend her enough. She will be our go-to sitter from now on”

“Keishla is great. My pup loves her and even with an injury, she gave Rocco lots of love and exercise. She was great about sending updates, pictures, and responding. She took great care of my home too.”

“Larisa is absolutely wonderful! She is very attentive, detail oriented, and very quick to respond. She played and loved our sweet Hazel girl as if she was her own. I highly recommend Larisa to anyone and will definitely be booking with her again! 🤗💗🐶🐾”

“Jenna is the best Rover sitter I've found! Sends regular updates, is super thoughtful and takes great care of my older pup. Trustworthy, reliable. Have used her before and will continue to book with her!”

“Erika was great with our dogs and very knowledgeable , we where able to trust her with our home and animals while we were on vacation. I highly recommend her and will use her again for sure.”

About: Ever since childhood, I have always been surrounded by pets, from big animals, to cats and dogs. I can do everything from walks in the park to giving them baths. proper pet care is something important for your pets well being Currently I am enrolled in college at Sacramento State, my summer classes are online so there is time to check on your animals between my classes. How I care for my dog Is that she gets feed once in the morning and once at night. when I have time before class, excluding Monday and Wednesday this semester, I take my pup on at least a 20 min walk. She spends most her time outside, but sleeps inside at night.
“Sabrina was wonderful! She was very organized, communicative, and always on time. We felt completely comfortable having her in our home, and she even left it cleaner than when we left. She sent photos and videos that gave us peace of mind and showed how well our pets were being cared for. Leaving your pets with someone new can be stressful, but with Sabrina we had no concerns at all. We’ll definitely be booking her again in the future!”

“Kirsten did a great job of accommodating our needs and dogs schedules. I only had a couple of days to arrange dog and house sitting before going to Utah for a service. The dogs were comfortable and not like boarding. Definitely will use her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rosemont
Bailey's first weekend with a pet sitter. First, Whitney is an excellent communicator and very responsive. She is thorough with her notes and came to our meeting prepared. The pictures, videos, and daily updates were greatly appreciated. And best of all, we came home to a very happy and content puppy. Baily is a 1.5-year-old mini Aussie with lots of energy.

Brittany did an outstanding job taking care of our senior dog, Frankie, in my home. He had some GI upset the night before Brittany was petsitting, so he needed some extra meds and attention. She kept me apprised of whether and how much he was eating, how he was acting, etc., including pictures. By the time I got home the next day Frankie was feeling much better, as did I since everything went so smoothly.
We had a wonderful experience with Natalie! From the very beginning, communication was clear, friendly, and professional. She took the time to understand our dog’s routine, preferences, and quirks, which immediately put us at ease. During the stay, we received regular updates, including photos and messages, which made it so much easier to be away. When we returned, our dog was relaxed and content, which says everything. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend Natalie to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive sitter!

Rachel was incredible! She took such great care of my dog, Estrella, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She was reliable, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I came home to a happy, relaxed pup and a spotless space. I would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her! ✨

Tiffany was very professional. She was on time and respectful of my home. My cats love her, she was very friendly and cuddly and warm to my cats. Tiffany left my house very clean and she emptied all the trash and took it out. I will definitely hire Tiffany again.

E was absolutely incredible with my two puppies, Colt and Maverick! Those guys can be a handful and E was so sweet to them - even brought them treats and chews! I was so appreciative of how communicative they were. They sent me photos and texts throughout the day and accommodated their work schedule to help. I couldn’t recommend a sitter more and will absolutely be rebooking them.

I came home to my pets and household in excellent shape after a week away. My elderly Swissie is no easy chore, with many needs and health concerns, and Nhi handled everything perfectly. I'm grateful for her attention to detail and concern for the animals and my home. I look forward to booking her again!

Leah did a phenomenal job watching our 3 dogs and housesitting while we were on vacation. She was very responsive and kept us updated regularly with how everything was going and sent photos of our pups. In addition, she kept up with checking on the yard outside, picking up dog droppings and even let us know she cleaned up oleander flowers that fell into our yard and made sure the yard overall was kept safe and secure. When we returned home we found the house in excellent shape, exactly as it was when we left. We are so glad we found Leah and definitely would love to use her services again in the future!

FAQs for House Sitting - Rosemont
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Rosemont on Rover is $53.68 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,870 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Rosemont. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rosemont walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rosemont maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rosemont choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
