âJoAnne is wonderful and did a great job with my dog! She gave lots of updates and pictures and always responds super quick. Iâd highly recommend her to anyone!â

âAndrew was great! He stayed with our Violet overnight and kept her fed and walked. She is typically a nervous pup so I was worried about leaving her with someone, but she seemed happy and content when we returned. Our internet went out the whole time Andrew was here, and he was very easygoing about it. We would definitely have him back!â

âIâm a so happy we chose Ivy. She went over all our pet instructions and loved my fur babies . Ivy sent daily pictures and responded within minutes to any questions or concerns.. She went above and beyond taking care of my house in the process. I trust Ivy and look forward to another wonderful experience choosing Ivy. Thank you so much Ivyâ

âVelvet was awesome about staying in touch and sent so many great photos, putting me completely at ease while I was away. My cat was clearly comfortable with her and seemed to have a lovely time. Would definitely book again!â

âAllen is an awesome dog sitter! We have two high energy doodles, one of whom is blind, and he took really good care of them while we were away. He sent plenty of pictures and videos which gave us peace of mind and when he left, they were standing at the guest bedroom door looking for him. We highly recommend Allen!â

âIt was just an overnight trip but Casey did a great job looking after our fur babies. Especially my senior dog who needs daily medication. Thank you so much for the care and compassion given to the pets.â
About: Hi, Iâm Vanessa! Iâve always had a passion for animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. I started pet and house sitting for friends and family, and over the past couple of years Iâve also cared for pets through Rover. I enjoy getting to know each petâs personality and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. Cats are my favorite. I love their unique personalities, but I also have experience caring for dogs and birds. Throughout my life Iâve had cats, small and large dogs, and cockatiels, which has given me experience with a variety of pets. I currently have a German Shepherd, so I understand the importance of keeping dogs active, engaged, and well cared for. Iâm dependable, detail oriented, and treat every pet like theyâre my own. I know every pet has their own routine, and Iâm happy to follow it closely, whether thatâs feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box cleaning, giving simple medications, or spending extra time playing and keeping them company. I also enjoy sending updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and helping you feel at ease while youâre away! I take respect and trust seriously, using positive reinforcement and plenty of love. I follow the rules and guidelines set by owners to maintain consistency and respect boundaries. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable environment where pets feel at ease and provide care that keeps them happy and secure in their familiar surroundings.

âWe have a senior dog (almost 15 years old) who is pretty simple to take care of, but has a very specific routine - medication and a certain feeding schedule. Kristina took photos of the medication, and food amounts she gave our pup as well as photos of the walks. Not to mention she left our house as we would have - clean! She did great with our last minute request for house sitting. Thank you Kristina!â

About: Iâve had dogs for as long as I can remember; Iâve had several of all sizes throughout my life, and they were like siblings to me. I love dogs of all kinds; wherever I go, they seek me out, greet me, and let me pet them. I think thatâs a great sign that I connect with them. I am a freelance videographer and video editor. I set my own schedule, so at any moment I can pause my editing work to go walk dogs or look after my son's cat when he travels. Yes, often. I take two dogs for a walk every day; I've been doing it for years, and babysitting my son's cat when he travels.
About: If youâre looking for an attentive, experienced and loving caregiver for your furbabies, youâve found your girl! And being a freelance photographer, I love sending clients cute pics while theyâre away. Iâve not only been the friend that takes care of everyoneâs pets while theyâre away, but I was also a dog walker on the east coast for many years in college. I have had my kitty Kunka since 2017 and have since adopted a stray in the community that needed some love. I grew up in a very pet-loving home. We always had cats & dogs, and on some occasions, a fish tank or cage of gerbils. My mother built an outdoor turtle habitat, and would often rescue animals in the community that needed aid. When Iâm not pet sitting, I am a photographer and Social Media Coordinator for local businesses. I spend my free time staying active, under trees, riding mopeds with friends, writing and playing music. Cant wait to meet your fur-family! I am a freelance photographer, so my schedule varies each week. I typically have a couple shoots on the weekends, and maybe a few during golden hour each week, but most shoots only last 1-3 hours, so I am able to balance both gigs. I also work part time in Carson at a textile firm. When caring for your fur babies, I make sure that their safety, well-being and happiness are priority. I will always read your notes and follow instructions carefully and am very self-aware! With having lengthy experience as a pet and house sitter, as well as having prior experience as a professional eco-friendly house cleaner, I am incredibly respectful and mindful when entering any client's home, and make sure not to have distractions when caring for your bb.
About: Iâve been officially pet sitting consistently since 2024 and have built my client base through word-of-mouth referrals and repeat bookings. I grew up with dogs but through petsitting, have experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, tortoises, betta fish, shrimp, and chameleons. Most of my experience is with overnight stays ranging from weekend trips to 1â2 week vacations. Iâm detail-oriented, adaptable, and take pride in following care instructions closely while keeping owners updated with photos and messages throughout their trip. As a powerlifter and active person, Iâm comfortable with both short and long walks and can keep up with high-energy & strong dogs. I work in-office during weekdays but am available mornings, evenings, overnights, and am fully flexible on weekends. My goal is simple: to make sure your pets feel safe and comfortable while giving you peace of mind when youâre away. I work in an office Monday through Friday, so I'm most flexible on weekends. For pets that are comfortable being home during the workday, I'm available for feeding, bathroom, and walks before work, in the evenings, overnight, and throughout the weekend. I am detail-oriented, adaptable, and take pride in following care instructions closely so pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment. Iâm flexible to either board your pet in my home, stay at your home whether for drop in visits or overnight stays, whatever you and your pet feel works best for their comfort. Prior to the stay, (my home or yours), we will go over your petâs routine and your expectations to make sure this is a good fit before moving forward.

Iâve personally crate trained my dogs, itâs helped me monitor them while Iâm not home. I like to take them on long walks and have play dates to get their energy out as well as stimulate their mind.
âWhen I say, Haylee is amazing. I truly mean it. She was so informative and considerate of letting me know what was going on while she was cat sitting. And I love that she sent me pictures during the stay. I will definitely be booking her again in the future.â

âTessa house sat and took care of my 2 cats and 2 dogs while my husband and I were on vacation. One of my dogs has a history of reactivity and Tessa was able to bond with him and all of our pets. She is very thorough and sent constant updates and pictures which I loved. We came home to a clean house and a thoughtful note. We 100% would book Tessa again. She truly cares about treating pets like family and making pet owners feel at ease.â

Hannah took exceptional care of our dogs once again. All of our dogs require medication, which she handles with ease. Additionally, she cooked special food for our dog when he had an upset stomach. She also took out our garbages and brought in packages for us. Highly recommend!

Kristina was a life saver!!! Pearl got sick and had some diarrhea before my trip. She was getting better but I didnât feel comfortable leaving her at my normal boarding place (a daycare) when she wasnât feeling 100%. I thought I was going to have to cancel my trip but reached out to Kristina the day before and she agreed to stay with her! She finished Pearlâs medicine, took her for daily walks, sent me frequent updates, and also took care of my cat! I was able to go on my trip AND relax knowing my babies were in excellent hands! I would recommend Kristina to anyone and trust her with my babies anytime!!!

Ivy did a fantastic job for us with our dog and cat! This was our first time hiring a housesitter, so she was really patient with us communicating back and forth about our instructions before we left town. Once we left, she was easy to reach if we needed anything and let us know right away when anything was out of the ordinary. She handled the unexpected competently which made us feel at ease. She sent us daily pics and updates, as requested, which was reassuring. When we got home, we found the house was just as we left it and both pets were happy and healthy.

I was not sure we could leave our pets for 15 nights! But then we met Cassandra and instantly felt good and comfortable about it. She spent so much time with our two dogs and cats, loved on them, fed, filled water bowls, walked the dogs, watered plants, vacuumed, wiped down, scooped litter boxes, picked up dog poop, etc. We are so grateful for all she did to keep everyone safe and well cared for! Thank you Cassandra!!

Grace was absolutely amazing. As a first time rover user, she took away all the stress and worry I had leaving my boy alone for the first time. She was communicative, patient, sent daily updates and pictures, and overall was very kind and respectful of our space. We will be sure to use her again.

Absolutely amazing experience with Velvet! She took such great care of my two dogs and treated them like her own. I could tell they were happy, comfortable, and well looked after the entire time. Velvet was reliable, attentive, and kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My dogs absolutely loved her, and I truly appreciated how caring and responsible she was. I would 100% book with Velvet again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pets!

You wonât regret it if you hire Allen. He is outstanding! Allen easily managed our furry beast. Chloe is a Chinese slaughterhouse rescue and has some serious trust issues but Allen quickly won her over and was giving her belly rubs in no time. He also took great care of our home, leaving it better than he found it! We are so pleased with Allen and will definitely hire him again!!

Taylor did an amazing job and I will 100% be bringing her back to babysit my cat Bella. She responds quickly, sent photos every day, kept my apartment clean, took out the trash, and even kept my little plant alive! Itâs obvious she is a pet lover and had a great relationship and was so caring for my little kitty. She really brought me so much peace of mind while I was out of town!!
Liana was fantastic with my 15 1/2 year old and 9 year old dogs. They both take medication twice a day and Bowie & Truffles warmed up to her which shows she really was beyond amazing 𤊠as Bowie does not easily bond with anyone. Constant updates and photos were a relief as I was so anxious as I donât travel often. I felt her warmth the moment she came to visit for a meet & greet. I highly recommend Liana.
Chloe was wonderful. She was really helpful, especially with it being a last minute booking and holiday. She took great care of the animals and the house was left exactly how it was. She was very communicative, cooperative, and came to meet everyone without hassle. I highly recommend her!

This was our first time having Kristie watch the pups and she did an amazing job! She was very communicative and asked great questions. She took the dogs for walks, fed them, and gave them tons of love. She even made sure to start the wash for the sheets and towels she used, which is sweet. We would definitely have her watch the dogs again. Thank you!

FAQs for House Sitting - Keystone
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Keystone on Rover is $69.55 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 14,695 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Keystone. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Keystone walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Keystone maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Keystone choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Keystone. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
