15. Katherine P.
About: I started working as a volunteer at the Elkhart Humane Society in high school, walking mainly larger dogs. In college, I also volunteered with cats and dogs at the local animal shelter. My grandpa was a veterinarian so I grew up around a lot of different animals and have a huge love of them because of it. I grew up with miniature schnauzers and a poodle so I have most experience with smaller to medium-sized dogs but am confident with large dogs and have experience walking and taking care of them. I own Pet Sitting by Katherine, my own small pet-sitting business now! I’ve been doing this professionally for a few months in the area and would love to find some more repeat clients! I have 3 female cats and live in a 2-story apartment where they can be separate from each other if need be. We try to respect their boundaries and don’t push them into something their body language is saying they don’t like. We are pretty casual when it comes to feeding times, but do it morning and night every day. My style of pet care does tend to be more relaxed because if this, however, I will respect any boundaries or rules someone sets in their own home while taking care of their animals.
16. Heidi R.
“Heidi loves all animals. She takes her dogs on walks and to the dog park often. She has had many different types of pets that have lived long lives.”
17. Adaora O.
About: Hi! My name is Adaora, I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats since I was 10 years old, and have taken care of my family’s now senior dog most of his life, so I’m well versed in all stages of dog life at this point. Currently I have one 2 year old dog who I raised from 3 months old (who is very high energy, so there will be plenty of walks and exercise while your pup is here.) I also have experience training dogs, so if you need some additional help with basic commands and dog walking, I’d be happy to assist! I am a student full time during the week, but have availability and a lot of energy throughout the weekends from sitting in class all day, which is where your dog comes in! I love spending my time with my dog and others dogs, and I spend as much time as I can outdoors in my backyard gardening or going on walks and hikes which is always more fun accompanied by a furry friend! I have a fenced in yard and 1 other doggo who has plenty of energy and toys laying around the house to help entertain your pup. A typical daycare day will usually look like hanging out outside for a bit, play time with me, snack time, at some point I’ll separate the doggos so they can all rest, then we’ll go for a walk and maybe snuggle up inside for a bit. If everyone is particularly energetic we’ll go back outside and play again. My goal here is to give your dog a fun, stress free place to be while you are at work or away for the day/weekend, because that’s always what I want for my dog when I’m gone.
18. Mckensi A.
“I'm so glad Mckensi was able to walk my dogs today! My 2 pups are very different and I don't know many who can handle the puppy's...exuberance...but Mckensi took it all in stride when she met them pre-walk, and was able to handle walking them both together! (Next time I'll leave you a map of suggested routes, so you get a more varied walk ?)”
19. Jeff B.
“Great communication and my dogs had a wonderful time in the walk. They came back tired and happy! Would definitely recommend Jeff to others!”
20. Maelyn S.
“Mae did great with my 2 dogs. She sent a report after each walk with how they did and took pictures while she was with them. I'm looking forward to having Mae care for my babies every week :)”
