About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of attention and care I give every pet like they’re my own. I’ve sat for people for as long as I can remember. It was one of my first jobs and I enjoyed it greatly. I’ve sat dogs and cats alike. I’ve sat ranging from a day, all the way up to a month. I’m also very reliable and communicative. I send regular updates, photos, and messages so owners always know how their pet is doing. My goal is to make pets feel relaxed and happy while giving owners complete peace of mind while they’re away. I do have school and a job, but the pets would never be left for more than 5 hours at a time. I always try and make sure the pups get as much playtime and attention as they require. Whatever the client asks for, I usually do if they request it. As long as it’s within my comfort zone, then of course I will try to fulfill that.
About: I have been around dogs and other animals my entire life! I have experience with puppies and dogs of every size! I have dog sat for many people in the past, and I always treat them like my own little family members. For the month of May, I will be working 7:30-3 Monday-Friday. However, this summer I am happy to announce that I will be able to petsit more full time. With all of this free time, I can spend as much time with your furbabies as possible! The dates that I am not available are already marked in my calendar, so the rest of the summer is wide open for me! I am a visual person, and I thrive off of written instructions! My favorite part of petsitting is getting to know each pet and their individual quirks and routines. I’m happy to lounge on the couch or go on many walks throughout the day, depending on what your pets are used to. :)
About: I've had animals since I was little and am comfortable and experienced with a wide variety of animals. I have two dogs and two barn cats and love spending time with as many animals as I can! I am the go to pet sitter among all our friends and have had many jobs watching dogs and cats. I have trained all my own animals as well as helping friends train theirs. One of my dogs is a senior and I have had experience with taking care of other senior pups! I have also had seasonal work on small hobby farms and have worked with animals including goats, chickens, ducks, donkeys, horses, sheep, alpacas and pigs. I'm available for day jobs, check in jobs, or watching your dogs in my home. I get home around 3:30 on Tuesday-Thursday and work from home on Monday's and Friday's so I have a lot of time to play with all the fur babies! My husband, who is also a dog lover, is home in the evenings and the weekends to also love on your pet and make sure they get all the attention they deserve and need! If you're boarding or doing daycare at our house, while we don't have a fenced yard, we have a full acre and have two friendly dogs that love playing with new friends and help keep them in our yard! I can also take dogs out on a leash if needed to keep them safe. We have plenty of space in our house to crate your pet or to give them their own space away from our dogs if they need a little break. I do require a meet and greet with my pups to make sure they are a good fit together! When taking care of pets in your home, I am able to bring one of my dogs to play if they work well together and if you want them to get a little extra energy out.
About: I bring over 15 years of experience as a puppy trainer for Canine Companions for Independence, where I helped raise and train service dog puppies with structure, consistency, and patience. That experience gave me a deep understanding of obedience training, behavior development, socialization, and building trust with dogs of all temperaments. I’ve also had dogs and cats my entire life, so caring for animals isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am. I’m comfortable reinforcing training, working with puppies, and providing gentle, attentive care for senior pets. I understand routines, communication, and the importance of making pets feel safe and secure while their owners are away. What sets me apart is reliability, experience, and treating every pet like family — with structured care, attention to detail, and consistent updates for peace of mind. As a stay-at-home dad, pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. During the school year, I have flexibility and availability throughout the day for drop-ins, walks, feedings, and check-ins. Summers are even more open, allowing me to offer consistent, reliable care with a flexible schedule. Because I’m home-based, I’m able to prioritize punctuality, routine, and communication. Pet care isn’t something I try to squeeze in — it’s something I can intentionally plan my day around to ensure your pets receive dependable, attentive care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow feeding schedules carefully, provide exercise or playtime based on their needs, clean litter boxes or pick up waste promptly, and reinforce any household rules or training already in place. I understand that pets feel most comfortable in their own environment, so I focus on consistency, patience, and attentiveness. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. With over 15 years of experience training puppies for Canine Companions for Independence and a lifetime of owning both dogs and cats, I’m highly observant of behavior and body language, ensuring your pet feels safe, secure, and well cared for at all times.
“Arantza has been absolutely fantastic. She is reliable, dependable, and clearly cares about the dogs she works with. I have complete peace of mind knowing my dog is in her hands. Highly recommend her services.”

I have a special connection to animals and provide a fun, enriching, caring, and positive environment for all of the pets in my care. I prioritize the safety and comfort of all animals in my care, ensuring their environments are clean and secure. I am able to conform to special needs of pets and their owners.
“Madelyn had been walking our dog during the week for the past couple of weeks and we honestly could not be happier!! She communicates beforehand to verify the schedule each week. She is consistent - picks up our dog for a walk same time each day! She provides us with pictures and updates on how the walk went. Our dog Emma can be a little extra (German Shepherd energy) and Madelyn is great with her! We are so thankful we found Madelyn!”

About: I have watched a multitude of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, lizards and even alpacas. I love training dogs and would gladly help train puppies and even older dogs. I am also experienced in giving medication to dogs and cats. I am on call for a doggy daycare so my schedule is completely free to pet sit any day other then Tuesdays from 3 until 6. Unfortunately I can't watch pets in my own home because I personally have a few pets of my own. I walk my dog every other day and bring him to the dog park on the opposite days and I will gladly walk your dogs every day or bring them to the dog park to play. I also have a cat of my own. My cat has a very sensitive stomach so I am used to cleaning messes and giving medication.

About: I have had experience with dogs for over 11 years! My parents got their first dog in 2015 and she is still kicking it to this day. They also got another dog in 2020 so i’ve had experience with two dogs for 6 years! I would help them take care of their dogs by watching them, playing with them, taking them for walks, and monitoring them. I taught them how to sit and lay down (even though I was young at the time). I’m currently working part-time, only 10 hours a week so I will have plenty of availability to watch/take care of your pets! I will make sure that the pet is being monitored 24/7! Even if there is a fenced in yard or the pet is strictly indoors I would make sure that they are safe and being monitored the entire time. Before I start I would prefer to have a list of habits and traits your pet might have so I can make sure that everything is completely normal while I watch over/take care of them.
“Lexi was fantastic. I had a last minute trip and she was so easy to book with. She was very attentive and had my puppers taken out on time, every day. Thank you Lexi! I will definitely be rebooking with you in the future.”

“An absolute wonderful person to watch after your pet! She was so loving toward Charlie and he had an absolutely blast with her while I was out of town. Big thanks to Theresa!”

About: I've had dogs for as long as I can remember. My dad used to help help run a rescue for several years, and we had many dogs of varying breeds and ages in our home. I currently have one dog named Alvin who was born in 2022. He is a yellow lab with a lot of energy! I am venturing into the working world, and this is my only role. My availability is wide open and I'm willing to help when needed! I have a small fenced in area under our deck where my dog relieves himself. I go for walks and there is a dog park very close to the house. My dog has extreme crate anxiety, so he isn't created. I am comfortable helping to ensure your pet is created as necessary.
“Great walk! Erin was on time and took great care of both dogs while I was out of town for the day. I appreciated the pictures and map of their dog walk route! Thanks, Erin!!”

About: I have been exposed to animals my entire life. From dogs, cats, and wild animals such as birds of prey, reptiles and amphibians, I've done it all. I currently have a German Shorthaired pointer/ blue heeler mix that loves to play especially with other dogs at the dog park! I have worked with dogs of all sizes of various breeds and temperaments; from couch loving golden retrievers to hyper hyper huskies. I live in an area with plenty of space to go on walks and a short five minute drive to the dog park. I treat all dogs as if they were my own, so your pup will have the constant care and attention it needs plus some! I currently work full time during the week but have full availability on weekends. I am constantly finding new and creative ways to fill dogs lives with enrichment! I have a large yard and live 5 minutes from a large dog park! I also have a friendly dog that loves to play but knows other dog’s limits.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
