About: I grew up on and farm and I’ve had animals my whole life. I believe animals make the best company. As of right now I only have a grand puppy. I recently lost my mini schnauzer she was 17 so I may be adding a new member to our family soon. I would like to spend sometime with your animals and spoil them. I live inKalamazoo in a pet friendly condo complex with not only an extensive yard but with walking trails near by. I’m very comfortable with opening my home to Your pet and making them feel like they belong. I already have plenty of toys and things to keep them busy. I regularly babysit my grand puppy who is use to having other dogs around. I would really enjoy getting to know you and your pet, hope to accommodate you soon. Thank you Trina

About: I’ve been around animals since I was born. I’ve had a lot of experience with dogs, and I love to be around them. My favorite thing to do is to be with animals. I have my own Siberian Husky that I will need to drop in on occasionally I do work and have a dog of my own. But other then work and doctors appointments I am pretty free other than that. I love all animals and love getting new experiences. I would feed the pets, let them out every few hours. Keep them company, play with them take them for walks, anything that would be needed.

I work from home, but had to travel for an all day training event. Luckily, Kim was able to keep my two Frenchies for the day. She sent so many great photos and updated me on how they were doing throughout the day. They came home happy, exhausted boys and snoozed the night away. Leaving our pups with anyone is such a very stressful event for us as our boys are family. Kim made the process less worrisome for us by sending the pictures, updates and quickly responding to my texts. We will be back! ?

About: We love, love, love dogs! We have a home with a fenced yard and work from home so your pup will have lots of company for most of their stay. We also have two home dogs who are both very friendly and love having playmates. One is an elderly medium sized dog and has a hard time getting around and the other is a youngster who is only 8lbs. Therefore we prefer dogs on the smaller side (<40lbs) with no aggression issues with other dogs. Guest dogs are treated like family and are welcome throughout our home. Your dog will be well loved and cared for and treated like part of the pack. We look forward to hosting your pup. We work from home and will have plenty of time to interact with your pup. We also enjoy going for walks around the neighborhood and can keep you pup entertained easily. We have a fenced yard and treat all guest dogs as we treat our own. I have had dogs my entire life and enjoying taking care of them.

About: Dogs and cats have been part of my family my whole life! I have also been a dog sitter for over 10 years. A few years ago, my husband and I raised 6 puppies from birth until they went to their new homes at 10 weeks. We currently have three dogs: Ash (Siberian Husky), Koda (Australian Shepherd), and Hickory (Husky-Australian Shepherd mix) who we love to play with, take for walks, and run around in the backyard. I'm currently off for the summer so I have a lot of time at home. I will let the dogs out every 2-4 hours when away but they will be out roaming the house when I am home. Dogs are welcomed in all rooms and on beds and furniture in the home. I have a large fenced in yard and three dogs to keep your pup company. We live in a dog friendly community and near a nature preserve for long walks and hikes.

About: We had a small dog when our children were out of high school and our world revolved around him. We miss him a lot since he crossed the rainbow bridge but I am lucky to be a grandma to 5 dogs—a Saint Bernard, a chihuahua mix, 2 terrier mixes and a German Shepherd mix. All rescue dogs with some quirky personality traits that make them a challenge and fun. I have also cared for my sister’s senior Maltese and a neighbor’s senior Boxer. Dogs are my favorite animal and I just love spending time with them! I recently retired from being a paraprofessional at a local school so I have a pretty flexible schedule. My husband works on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays so those days I am much more available but he is flexible if I’m working or have something scheduled. We live out in the country and have a fenced in yard so dogs can play and have some fun time running free. Our neighborhood is safe to walk dogs (we used to walk our little guy around the block daily—1 1/4 miles) and there are also 2 parks close by that we could walk if they seem bored with the block.

About: Don't worry! That was doggie ice-cream with owner approval in the picture! I have raised all sorts of pets since I was a child. Tiny to huge. I have been pet sitting for 5 years now and have cared for all sorts from the elderly and infirm to the puppies in training. Recently I watched 3 dogs for an entire week and it was so much fun to have their lively spirits in my home. I understand deeply the care dogs and cats need and have done it first hand with my own elderly pets. I have a large SUV and have been known to load up the dogs and walk the woods on the coast. My yard is very large and only missing fencing by the garage which my truck blocks. We currently have no pets but I find that pet sitting brings so much love, laughter and joy into our lives! I am currently working for myself from home. I am a consultant and all my work is virtual so I am available all day. And if for some reason I am not my daughter is. We have always have had multiple pets as a family since I was a child. If we are lucky enough to share our house with your dog/cat we will love on them like our own. My daughter and I work together to make sure they are walked regularly, cuddled often, have a lap to sit on when needed and played with when they give us the "stink eye." We are well versed in special needs care for your pets as well. Last summer we had a dog stay with us for a week that had just had surgery. Clients have also been know to drive all the way from Chicago to drop their dogs off with us for extended stay on their way to vacation.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Alamo

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Alamo on Rover is $27.75 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of June 2026, there are 251 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Alamo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Alamo commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 251 sitters in Alamo, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
