13. Amelia H.
About: I have had my pup ginger since I was 9 years old (19 now). On top of taking care of her over the last 10 years I have been relied on by neighbors and friends to walk pups, feed and take general care of both cats and dogs and stay overnight with dogs. I am currently a student at Western Michigan University, so most of my availablity is on weekends and select week days. Depending on your location I may be able to stay at client’s homes during the week. I want to be as available as possible while still making it to my classes on time Whatever guidelines clients give will be what I follow. Everyone takes care of their pets differently so I want to accommodate to whatever makes you comfortable. Certain things that come to mind no matter the client are always keeping water bowls full/clean, walking/playing with pups frequently and keeping track of cats as best as possible.
14. Mckensi A.
“I'm so glad Mckensi was able to walk my dogs today! My 2 pups are very different and I don't know many who can handle the puppy's...exuberance...but Mckensi took it all in stride when she met them pre-walk, and was able to handle walking them both together! (Next time I'll leave you a map of suggested routes, so you get a more varied walk ?)”
15. Jackie D.
“Jackie has cared for my dog several times as i travel a lot for work. She handles my pup with great care and even sends me pupdates of their activities! I can tell my little pup is happy with her.”
16. Madison M.
“I will definitely be hiring Madison the next time I need some help watching my kitty. We both have a little separation anxiety from each other and it made me feel so much better to get such thorough updates and wonderful pictures. It was evident when I got home that my baby was well cared for. Madison was so kind and easy to be in contact with and highly recommend her to anyone needing a helping hand to care for their fur baby. Thank you Madison!!”
17. Adaora O.
About: Hi! My name is Adaora, I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats since I was 10 years old, and have taken care of my family’s now senior dog most of his life, so I’m well versed in all stages of dog life at this point. Currently I have one 2 year old dog who I raised from 3 months old (who is very high energy, so there will be plenty of walks and exercise while your pup is here.) I also have experience training dogs, so if you need some additional help with basic commands and dog walking, I’d be happy to assist! I am a student full time during the week, but have availability and a lot of energy throughout the weekends from sitting in class all day, which is where your dog comes in! I love spending my time with my dog and others dogs, and I spend as much time as I can outdoors in my backyard gardening or going on walks and hikes which is always more fun accompanied by a furry friend! I have a fenced in yard and 1 other doggo who has plenty of energy and toys laying around the house to help entertain your pup. A typical daycare day will usually look like hanging out outside for a bit, play time with me, snack time, at some point I’ll separate the doggos so they can all rest, then we’ll go for a walk and maybe snuggle up inside for a bit. If everyone is particularly energetic we’ll go back outside and play again. My goal here is to give your dog a fun, stress free place to be while you are at work or away for the day/weekend, because that’s always what I want for my dog when I’m gone.
18. Dominique Y.
“ Dominique is a gifted animal-caregiver who takes extra special care of our dog Harley. She is dependable in her work, and loving in her interactions with our dog. We trust Dominique to walk our dog and have had her stay overnight with Harley when we have gone out of town. She is a trustworthy person and our dog's best friend!”
19. Hannah S.
About: I grew up with dogs my entire upbringing. Had a Golden Retriever and Daschunds. I’m a very reliable person and also willing to negotiate what works to your needs. Have had lots of experience with all different kinds breeds. Very knowledgeable about pets. I’m a recent graduate and now working as a software engineer - looking for some walks and to spend time with your pet! I’m working full time a software engineer. I’m mostly remote during the week, but work on-site on Wednesday’s. I’m a good companion to have around pets! I live in a bottom floor apartment of a house in the Vine neighborhood. I do not have a fenced yard. I have one other roommate. If I care in a clients home, i usually bring things to do with me, so I can spend the appropriate amount of time needed with pets.
20. Katherine P.
About: I started working as a volunteer at the Elkhart Humane Society in high school, walking mainly larger dogs. In college, I also volunteered with cats and dogs at the local animal shelter. My grandpa was a veterinarian so I grew up around a lot of different animals and have a huge love of them because of it. I grew up with miniature schnauzers and a poodle so I have most experience with smaller to medium-sized dogs but am confident with large dogs and have experience walking and taking care of them. I own Pet Sitting by Katherine, my own small pet-sitting business now! I’ve been doing this professionally for a few months in the area and would love to find some more repeat clients! I have 3 female cats and live in a 2-story apartment where they can be separate from each other if need be. We try to respect their boundaries and don’t push them into something their body language is saying they don’t like. We are pretty casual when it comes to feeding times, but do it morning and night every day. My style of pet care does tend to be more relaxed because if this, however, I will respect any boundaries or rules someone sets in their own home while taking care of their animals.
