Pet care experience

Patient & caring sitter!

Hello, my name is Amanda! I would be honored to provide peace of mind, knowing your home & pets are safe and cared for, while you are away, during the day or longer. I offer drop in visits, dog walking, doggy daycare, boarding and house sitting. Additionally, I have experience taking care of my parent's diabetic cat, when they went out of town, which included giving him insulin shots twice a day, so I am comfortable with some medical needs' animals. My cat, Penny, is technically a senior cat, and she remains very healthy and happy! I also have experience taking care of my friends' senior dogs overnight when her and her family went out of town. As well as my own senior dog, Bentley, who has passed away. It has been a few years, but my heart is still too broken to think about welcoming a dog into my home for forever, but I so miss having a dog's company, so, temporary will have to do for now! I know just how much I loved my dog and wanted to protect him and keep him happy & healthy as long as possible, and I promise to treat your pets the same. I was also the proud owner of 4 chickens when I lived in Florida. They were the greatest entertainment! By the time I moved to Michigan, there was sadly only one remaining chicken, I didn't want to confuse her with the weather change, so of course she became a house chicken. She got to live her last two years living inside the house, cozy as can be, with me, my dog & cat. We all loved it! Long story short, I'm also available for farm animal sitting. I promise to keep them out of your house! Unless... I would love to chat with you about your pets and your situation, and see if I can be of any assistance to you! Thank you so much! Talk soon!

Came home to a happy, well taken care of cat. Amanda followed up, sent pictures, and did exactly what I requested. This was my first time using Roover so it was a great experience!

Dog Walking • Feb 05, 2021

12/15/2020 at 5:45 PM Brandon was walking on 69th St E with Aspen, when he approached the corner of 69th and 45th he saw a women with one of your dogs. She had brown hair, slim, 5'3-ish in height, had a warmer complexion. When she saw Brandon the dog she was walking started to pull on the leash in which she very quickly decided to let the dog go. Once she let the dog go it ran to Aspen and started to bite her on the face and on the back. Aspen was crying very loudly and Brandon was doing everything he could to release the dog off of Aspen. The women just sat there not saying one word, no help, nothing. As a matter of fact she never once said a thing in this whole time or even after the fact. This is a statement from a dog owner that witnessed Amanada lose control of my pet and attack theirs "Brandon couldn't get the dog off of aspen so he had to grab the dog himself and push it with all his might. Once he got the dog off of Aspen he grabbed her and ran home with her. Aspen was very scared when she got home! She had a big gash across her face and along the ridge of her back. We immediately took her to a local vet to be examined. From there they cleaned the wounds and put her on a medication that would fight possible bacteria infection. The bill was $200! We do have another witness that watched this all go down. She said it was very traumatizing to watch and couldn't believe what this women did." Amanda did not informs me on 15 Dec of the seriousness of this attack. I have pictures of the wounds! Do not hire this person! I asked for a refund and both Rover and Amanda REFUSED!

Amanda was an absolutely fantastic pet sitter for my dog and my bunny while I was away with my fiancé over Christmas break! She not only took care of their basic needs, but also went above and beyond and made sure they were well-taken care of and happy. She even cleaned up after the bunny, which is a messy job!! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter! Thank you so much Amanda, we will be sure to keep in touch for next time we need a pet sitter :) !

Amanda was extremely professional and great with my dog Sophie. My dog can be a little quirky but Amanda was on board and not intimidated. We did a quick video chat before our two visits and Amanda was on time and took great care of Sophie. I will definitely book again with Amanda and highly recommend her!

Amanda has been amazing with my very shy and timid dog, who typically doesn’t do well with strangers. I love the reports I get and it gives me great peace of mind knowing my puppy is in good hands!

A typical day

I love spending time outdoors and on walks! If your pet is more of a couch potato, I’m more than happy to just chill and hang with your pet as well, it’s up to them, what we do!

I do not have any breed or size preferences. It would be helpful to know about their behaviors, allergies or any health concerns, as well as, how they interact with other dogs and people, while on walks.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
