About: Growing up surrounded by a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, and chickens, I've gained hands-on experience in pet care from an early age. Whether it's the playful energy of dogs, the independent nature of cats, or the unique needs of chickens, I've learned how to provide attentive and compassionate care for each. With years of experience, I understand the importance of routine, comfort, and safety in keeping pets happy and healthy. Your pet will be in knowledgeable and caring hands with me. I am currently going to school and have a flexible schedule. I am available Mondays 6am-10pm, Tuesday 6am-10pm, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6am to over night. I am willing to stay at clients home to care for pets along with staying over night. During my availability I can let pets outside/hang out with them inside at any time, give needed medication, walk, and play.

“Nicola is an angel. One of our dogs is immunocompromised and one is neurotic and antisocial. They're not exactly low-maintenance. We usually have a good friend stay with them when we need to travel--which we try to do as infrequently as possible. When our friend had a last minute family emergency we thought we would need to cancel our trip, but we found Nicola. Before she agreed to stay with our dogs she came over to meet them and we knew she could handle the job. We and our pups are so immensely grateful to have met her! Thank you for taking such attentive and loving care of our beloved little weirdos, Nicola!”

“My dog was more anxious than usual and RoseWillow was incredibly patient and responsive. She was early, responsible and incredibly gracious and I would love to have her sit again anytime.”

“Seth was wonderful. My dog had surgery and she needed to be fed on schedule to take her medication and Seth followed all instructions. He didn’t just come in to walk and feed he actually spent time with my dog. He also sent me detailed messages and photos. It was a wonderful experience for me and my dog and I highly recommend him for any dog owner.”

About: Retired military medic used to have and to help friends and battle buddies when their animals had to go when they had to go overseas or on TDY work trips and things like that also help friends and things too. I am very by the book so if you leave me a list of rules and what needs to happen I'll make sure it gets done. I have a very open schedule. I work from home so if you need me at any point in time I can make it fit within my schedule. For the safety of your pets and things, I usually like to do a quick visit to make sure that we're going to get along. I know if it is a cat that a lot of times trust needs to be earned with them and that you can't just pull them out from wherever they're hiding a lot of times it's earning their trust for them to be come out and be friendly. You do not force it on them.

About: Since childhood, I’ve had a deep love for animals and have always treated every pet as if they were my own. I believe all pets deserve the same love and care they so generously give to us. However, I am very understanding that each pet is unique in their own personality. As a proud dog mom to two very special but different pups—one being a rescue from the meat trade in South Korea—I’ve gained valuable experience in recognizing stressors and triggers in dogs that may be more reactive. I approach each pet with patience, understanding, and proactive care to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and at peace. Just because an animal has had a difficult past doesn’t mean that sets the trajectory of their future. I am a small business owner which means I have an extremely flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets the time, attention, and care they ultimately deserve. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I can adjust to your needs to ensure your furry friends are happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. I prioritize consistency and routine so pets feel comfortable and cared for in every visit! Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I prioritize safety, comfort, and trust. I create a warm, stress-free environment where pets feel secure, loved, and at ease. I follow each pet’s routine, respect their space, and provide plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles to keep them happy and safe. I also have two friendly dogs of my own who can provide companionship and extra playtime for pets in my home. For pets who prefer to be alone, I have plenty of space to ensure their comfort and relaxation.

“I can’t say enough great things about Carissa! She took amazing care of our home and our dogs while we were gone. We have two nearly 80-lb pitbulls, one of which is older and takes meds, and the other is young and rambunctious. She handled it all with ease and excellent communication. You could tell the dogs love her and she loves the dogs. Highly recommend Carissa for all of your dog and home-sitting needs!”

“Jesse was more than up to the task of taking care of our new puppy for a few days. He bonded with him and had many helpful observations for us as we move forward with our new friend.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover since I can remember and have lived with pets since I was 12. I’ve been a mom to two dogs and 7 cats. I am a very active person. I love going for walks, going to dog parks, playing with both cats and dogs. I am a mature, responsible professional and I currently have a lot of free time. I would like to spend that time doing what I love. I have two cats now, Rue and Fiver. I fostered Rue in 2020 and decided right away that he belonged with me. For the next 3 years, I continued to foster and then decided Rue needed a permanent companion, so Fiver became the perfect little brother. I am a teacher and I do not work during the months of July and August so am available any time of day. During the school year, I am available weekday afternoons and evenings and on weekends. I cannot offer pet care in my home at this time. I am very careful with all animals and will make sure they are safe and comfortable.

“Sophie stayed with our 10 y/o lab, and took great care of him. I always worry about leaving him when we are on vacation, and it always puts my mind more at ease knowing he is getting taken care of in the comforts of his own home. Sophie kept us posted and sent us pictures to provide updates on our boy. Very thankful for the care she provided!”

“There is no need to think about booking her. Do it! I don’t leave my fur baby with just anyone. The minute I met her I knew she would be so sweet to my mojo and he would be in good hands. We already booked her for our next trip to watch him. Thank you Carolyn!”

She has watched my dog on multiple occasions and has gone above and beyond making sure that my fur baby is taken care of and happy. “Ashley is absolutely amazing! She takes such wonderful care of our dog, Hannah, and always goes above and beyond to make sure she’s happy, safe, and well-exercised. Hannah absolutely adores her and gets so excited every time Ashley comes to the door! Ashley is reliable, communicative, and clearly loves what she does. She sends the sweetest updates and photos, which always put my mind at ease while I’m away. It’s such a relief to know Hannah is in such loving and capable hands. “If you want your pet to feel loved and cared for while you're away, then Christin is the one for you! She has watched our goldendoodle Gus many times, most recently while we were gone for a week. She provided us with pictures and daily updates! Every time Gus sees her he is so excited and jumps on her repeatedly (too my embarrassment, but it never has bothered her!) he sits on her lap like he's a puppy and stares into her eyes. She has a true connection with pets and you would be lucky to have her watch yours.”

Johnston pet parents share their Rover experiences
We had an amazing experience with Joselyn housesitting for us and watching the dog. She communicated very well every day about the status of the house and how the dog was doing. I couldn't have asked for more. We've had other sitters in the past, but Joselyn was the best so far. Thank you for all you've done, and we will surely contact you in the future.

Sophie made it extremely easy for me to leave my animals with someone else. There are a lot of them and one of my Great Danes can be very anxious with change. Sophie did a meet and greet with her twice and Mali was very comfortable with Sophie. Rockwell seemed a little disappointed when I came home, I think he was looking for Sophie :) I would give her a 10 out of 10!

This was my first time using Rover. We have an older dog, 13 years who hates being alone; since we were heading out of town for my daughter's wedding, we needed someone to stay with Taz overnight for 2 nights. Susan responded to my request right away and agreed to meet Taz beforehand. The meet and greet went well and we were assured that Susan and Taz would get along just fine. Knowing that Susan was with Taz and caring for him gave us peace of mind, and we were able to enjoy the wedding without worrying what was going on with Taz back in RI. Knowing we can rely on Susan in the future is such a relief and benefit. Would definitely recommend Susan to anyone looking for a sitter.
