About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years and have owned cats, parrots, and reptiles throughout that time. I currently have four cats of my own, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, routines, and the importance of making pets feel safe and comfortable in their own space. While I haven’t had a dog of my own, I’ve been lucky enough to be an honorary “Auntie” to a handful of very special dogs belonging to friends and family. I have plenty of experience spending time with dogs, walking them, caring for them, and—most importantly—spoiling them with lots of love and attention. For years, I traveled frequently for work, which always made me hesitant to get a dog of my own. I knew I’d feel guilty having to constantly arrange care while I was away. Now that my career has calmed down and I’m home much more often, I’d love the opportunity to meet some sweet pups, get to know their individual personalities, and have a few honorary nieces and nephews to dote on! I believe pets are generally happiest and most comfortable staying in their own familiar environment, surrounded by their usual routines, smells, and belongings. Since I have four cats of my own, overnight sitting at your home is also the best fit for me. My cats are friendly with dogs, but they are not comfortable with other cats, and I want to preserve the balance of our established little pack. I own a two story home with plenty of rooms and a fully enclosed patio, which my pets love. However, because of my cats’ needs, I’m generally unable to host other cats in my home. I’m happy to discuss care for dogs and other pets on a case by case basis, with safety, comfort, and individual needs as the top priorities. We had such a wonderful experience with Savana! She stayed in our home with our three dogs for six days, our 14-year-old Westie, 9-year-old Border Collie, and our 7-month-old puppy who had just been spayed, and took amazing care of all of them. Having three dogs of very different ages and needs, especially a puppy recovering from surgery, I was definitely nervous about leaving them. Savana gave me complete peace of mind. She kept us updated with pictures, took them for walks, spent time with them, and even bought our puppy some new toys. It was so clear that she genuinely cared about them and treated them like her own. Being able to go away and not worry about whether the dogs were happy, safe, and well cared for was priceless. We came home to three happy pups and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will absolutely use Savana again, and I already plan to have our senior Westie stay with her in her home when we travel in the future. I can’t recommend her enough!

Kaitlynn stayed with my anxious dog Cora for over a week and I was able to enjoy my vacation and trust that she was in great hands! This was our first time ever leaving our dog, Copper, with someone outside of family, so naturally we were very nervous (we’re definitely overprotective dog parents!). From the moment I met Caitlin, however, I immediately felt reassured. She has such a calm and caring demeanor that we knew Copper would be in great hands. Caitlin stayed with Copper for eight nights, and she went above and beyond to keep us updated. Every day she sent photos and checked in, which meant the world to us and really helped ease my anxiety while we were away. During the stay, a major blizzard hit and we received nearly three feet of snow, which certainly made things more challenging. Caitlin handled it with patience and professionalism and continued to provide wonderful care. Copper was clearly well cared for and comfortable the entire time.
