About: I have lived with, raised, and cared for multiple dogs at once for my entire life. I have grown up with retrievers, shibas, Rhodesian ridgebacks, and all manner of rescues. As a dog sitter, I have walked, played with, and done multi-day overnights with all kinds of canines, from timid greyhounds to rambunctious collies. I lead an active lifestyle and take my shiba for at least three 2-mile walks each day, plus weekend hikes and trips to the dog park. I am a freelance writer, so I have a very flexible schedule. The highlight of my day is walking my dog and, ideally, meeting new dogs along the way. I feel like Rover is the perfect way to spend time with dogs and help their time-pressed owners. I will follow any and all instructions left by the owners. I always keep dogs leashed, prevent them from eating foreign objects, and otherwise prioritize their safety at all times.

About: Growing up I have always had at least one pet in my home. We have mainly had dogs however in the past I’ve had dogs, a tortoise, and a bunny. I will often take my dogs for walks or help my friends or family members with their dogs. I love spending time with animals and it is honestly the highlight of my day going home and being with my pets. I have been doing rover for about 3 years now and have had many amazing experiences. I have several clients that continue to book with me and I am always looking to add more amazing people to my list. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and I will get back as quick as possible! I am currently working full time Tuesday-Sunday mornings however I’m typically available any day after noon. I don’t require much notice before booking as long as my calendar says I am available. I will be patient and gentle with any animals my client may have and ensure there is nothing that could cause the animal harm near the animal. About: What sets me apart from other dog sitters is the genuine connection I build with every dog I care for. I treat your pup like family—offering not just basic care, but personalized attention, enrichment, and affection tailored to their unique personality and needs. Whether it’s playtime, long walks, or quiet cuddle sessions, I create a safe, loving environment where your dog feels truly at home. With a keen eye for detail and a deep passion for animals, I go the extra mile to ensure both pets and their owners feel confident, comfortable, and cared for. My daily/weekly routine typically revolves around my own pets and what is on the schedule for that day. So be reassured that I would do the same while caring for your pets as well. I work alongside my girlfriend who works from home therefore, your fur babies will always be cared for and attended to through out the whole day. In My Home: When pets stay with me, they become part of the family. I maintain a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where routines are respected and comfort is a priority. I provide plenty of playtime, walks, and affection throughout the day, as well as a cozy spot for rest. I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs—whether they prefer lots of activity or quiet companionship. Safety is always top priority, with secure spaces and close supervision. In Your Home: When caring for pets in their own home, I do everything I can to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. I follow all instructions carefully—feeding schedules, walk times, medication (if needed), and favorite activities. I keep your home tidy and secure while you’re away, and I always provide updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands.

From the moment Julia came for the meet-and-greet with Pickles, our one year old rescue who has some anxiety issues with strangers, she gave us a complete sense confidence. She even had a form to get all the information that she would need to know how best to take care of P. When we were away for five days, Julia obviously created a great, easy relationship with our dog and kept her on a routine that we had established (as she has been with us for fewer than three months). Julia sent regular photos and videos of her and updates on how she was doing. I cannot recommend her enough. When we arrived home, Julia had done the bedding(laundry) and she was packed up. The house was immaculate. Thank. You for her loving care. We will be repeats.

Lou stayed with our two big dogs this weekend and what a find! I told my husband that it's the first time that I've been utterly comfortable and worry-free on vacation. The amount of communication and updates were just right and left us feeling like our dogs were in good hands. And they left our place immaculate! I walked in and there was nothing to do! What a nice way to return from holiday. I would highly recommend.

About: I’ve grown up with many dogs and watched dogs all my life. My mom was a dog groomer and owned a dog day care. I’m currently working part time and will be starting college in the fall but I can always make time to walk your pup or help with your cat! I can watch them overnight, watch them for the day, or take them out for a walks. I can definitely take your pup for a walk multiple times a day and however you train them in your home I will do the same.

Jonathan took fantastic care of both our dog, Winston, and our house! I would highly recommend him as a pet/house sitter. He took Winston on very long walks, sent daily photos and updates, and kept us informed on Winston's well-being during our absence. We knew Winston was well cared for, and therefore we had no concerns while we were away. Jonathan gave us peace of mind that our "baby" was just fine.

About: *We shut down our calendar for part of the summer, but if you're one of our regular clients, please feel free to still reach out. We just want to be sure to save space for your sweet pups! We live in Warwick with our pup Tobi. You can almost see the airport from our fenced in home. We're both animal lovers who have owned dogs our entire lives. I work from home and hang with the pups all day, Whitney (my fiancé) works part time so she's here with us most of the time. We live in a quiet neighborhood that's great for walking. I take Tobes to a park a couple blocks away every morning, rain or shine. He demands his daily walks!! He's an 11 year old Husky Lab mix and he gets along with other dogs. I started doing Rover back when Tobi was a pup and then took a long hiatus when I moved out of state. Once I moved back to RI and bought a house I figured it was a good time to start it back up again. Life is just better with dogs, and we have plenty of space and love to share!! Trust us, we know how stressful it is to have to find someone to watch your fur-baby. When I'm not working from home I travel for work and take Tobi with me, so I've had to do it plenty. Luckily, I've had mostly good experiences. But they're a part of the family so leaving them is always hard, let alone trusting a stranger. I assure you, Whitney and I are both responsible and attentive and you can rest easy knowing they'll be in good hands. We'll communicate with texts/pictures as much or as little as you'd like while they're here with us and they'll be getting lots of attention, treats (if that's okay) and belly rubs!! There's always room on our couches/bed for snuggling, too. Added bonus; if you're flying out of TF Greene, we plenty of space in our driveway and I don't mind giving rides to the airport so you can save a few bucks on your transportation costs. One stop shopping! A few extra bucks for the tip is appreciated in those scenarios! A couple other things to note; we have picked up quite a few regulars at this point, and we're very very flexible when it comes to drop off and pick up times and when people have last minute changes to their plans. We do that happily, but at times it results in us having some overlap with more dogs at the house than we normally shoot for. If you're someone who is going to be bothered by your pup being around a few random dogs from here to there, we might not be the best fit. That being said, we always do meet and greets and we're particular on the breeds/dogs we accept, so there truly is never anything to think twice about. Bottom line; we would never accept a booking if we didn't know we could keep the pups safe and happy. And during drop offs and pickups, we always prefer to meet out in the driveway for the handoff so whatever dogs are inside don't get all fired up and excited to meet a new human. That can rile things up and make it seem chaotic, when in reality that's never the case. For that same reason, if you're going to be early or late for a pick up or drop off (which is fine), we just ask that you send us a quick message with your ETA. We always get the dogs ready ahead of time, so an extra 5-10 minutes of an excited pup on a leash waiting for it's owner can seem like an eternity haha, and we block off the dogs in the living room with a baby gate during drop offs and pick ups so no one rushes the door when we're taking a pup out or letting one in, so if someone shows up early and we aren't expecting it we don't have time to do that. Our #1 goal is a safe environment with as little stress all around as possible!! I currently work from home. If my schedule is showing open on Rover, that means you can expect me to be with your pup pretty much 24/7. Whitney works part time so she's also going to be with us most of the time. My best friend and his wife live 4 streets away and my parents live a 5 minute drive away, so we have a village available at all times to help out anytime needed (but they just love the extra dog kisses!!). Our home is clean and not cramped, so there's plenty of room for your pup to roam free and be comfortable. We let them on the furniture, so if that's okay with you it's great with us. We have a fenced in yard with a decent amount of room for playing/sniffing/peeing on things. There is one set of stairs in the home, but it's not needed to get around, so if you have an older dog you don't need to worry about them walking up and down stairs.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kharma stayed with this sitter for two weeks, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I received daily updates, photos, and messages, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Kharma was well cared for, engaged, and having a great time. He enjoyed plenty of outdoor time, socialization, and activities, and the sitter followed all of my instructions carefully. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and they were always responsive, dependable, and professional. This has become my most trusted and frequently used sitter because of their reliability and consistency. Knowing that Kharma is safe, happy, and cared for as if he were their own makes all the difference. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter and will absolutely continue booking with them in the future. 🐾❤️

This was our first time ever leaving our dog, Copper, with someone outside of family, so naturally we were very nervous (we’re definitely overprotective dog parents!). From the moment I met Caitlin, however, I immediately felt reassured. She has such a calm and caring demeanor that we knew Copper would be in great hands. Caitlin stayed with Copper for eight nights, and she went above and beyond to keep us updated. Every day she sent photos and checked in, which meant the world to us and really helped ease my anxiety while we were away. During the stay, a major blizzard hit and we received nearly three feet of snow, which certainly made things more challenging. Caitlin handled it with patience and professionalism and continued to provide wonderful care. Copper was clearly well cared for and comfortable the entire time. We are so grateful for Caitlin and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and compassionate pet sitter. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience. We will absolutely be using Caitlin again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely caring to watch their pet.

FAQs for House Sitting - Warwick

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Warwick on Rover is $74.93 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,570 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Warwick. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Warwick walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Warwick maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Warwick choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Warwick. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
