This weekend was a perfect opportunity for Jean to get to know Zu Zu's routine, likes/dislikes, etc. Throughout the weekend, we received pics and video clips, which provided us with reassurance that Zu Zu was being well cared for. About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years and have owned cats, parrots, and reptiles throughout that time. I currently have four cats of my own, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, routines, and the importance of making pets feel safe and comfortable in their own space. While I haven’t had a dog of my own, I’ve been lucky enough to be an honorary “Auntie” to a handful of very special dogs belonging to friends and family. I have plenty of experience spending time with dogs, walking them, caring for them, and—most importantly—spoiling them with lots of love and attention. For years, I traveled frequently for work, which always made me hesitant to get a dog of my own. I knew I’d feel guilty having to constantly arrange care while I was away. Now that my career has calmed down and I’m home much more often, I’d love the opportunity to meet some sweet pups, get to know their individual personalities, and have a few honorary nieces and nephews to dote on! I know firsthand how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust caring for your pets while you’re away. My cats are friendly with dogs, but they are not comfortable with other cats, and I want to preserve the balance of our established little pack. This was our first time ever leaving our dog, Copper, with someone outside of family, so naturally we were very nervous (we’re definitely overprotective dog parents!). From the moment I met Caitlin, however, I immediately felt reassured. She has such a calm and caring demeanor that we knew Copper would be in great hands. Caitlin stayed with Copper for eight nights, and she went above and beyond to keep us updated. Every day she sent photos and checked in, which meant the world to us and really helped ease my anxiety while we were away. During the stay, a major blizzard hit and we received nearly three feet of snow, which certainly made things more challenging.
