I have experience caring for my own dogs as well as pets belonging to family members, and I understand that every animal has unique needs and personalities. When caring for pets in their home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I will follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), potty breaks, playtime, and bedtime routines. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and mental stimulation while also respecting their individual personalities and needs. I will keep your home clean, provide regular updates and photos, and treat both your pets and your home with the same care and respect that I would my own.

About: I love meeting and hanging out with pets. I’ve always wanted a dog growing up but never got one. However, my sister has now gotten her own pup, and I’m the happiest aunt! Would be a lovely break during the day! Also, I prefer notice in advance, but sometimes my calendar has gaps and could possibly accept day of :) I can check their water and food. I can open/close shades, doors, etc. If they watch TV, I can make sure it’s playing or change it, etc. They can get play time!

About: I have loved critters of all kinds since childhood. I attended obedience training for my family Rottweiler at age 6, and have cared for many big-breed dogs such as pitbulls, American bulldogs, mastiffs, Great Danes, labs, and more. I have been the trusted pet sitter for friends and family starting as early as middle school, and am also very comfortable around small breeds and senior babies. I have experience with Boston terriers, yorkies, daschunds, beagles, and more. I have and am comfortable with administering necessary meds or topicals for pets with extra health needs. He grew up around my mom’s beagles, so he doesn’t mind company/energy! I can section off my basement stairs and kitchen for safety if needed. I cannot board any cat-aggressive dogs for my cat’s safety. I do not use any non pet-safe cleaners or pest control in my home.
About: I have had a special connection with animals my whole life! My family would call me "the animal whisperer" because of how much I love and connect with creatures. I grew up with many different kinds of animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, turtles, snails, and frogs. About: I grew up with dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, and turtles. I also have worked as a ranch hand with large dogs and cattle for six months in Iowa. The dogs I’ve worked with have ranged from 115-pounds and energetic to 10 pounds and quiet. I’ve been dog-walking and dog-sitting on and off for 15 years and love spending time with and caring for them. I’m currently working part time as a professor so have almost unlimited flexibility when it comes to walks and pet-sitting. During the day I may have a class to teach, but these obligations usually only take about an hour. My pet care experience first started when my family got a red-fox laboratory puppy seven years ago. It was a dream come true, something my sister and I had waited for many years.
