Availability
I have a full-time job, but I can't wait to spend my weekend with your special kitty! Are you going to be gone for a week but need someone to look in on your cat in the morning or evening? I’d love to stop by on my way to the office and/or on my way home! For the health and safety of your cat, I do not accept bookings that are less frequent than once a day. Please feel free to reach out to me with questions about this policy, but be aware that I do not make exceptions.

About Meagan C.
Communication
Safety, trust & environment
I try to match your routine as closely as I can: I know how important structure and routine are to animals, especially during stressful times like when their family is gone! Does your cat need space to get used to someone new? That's great! Does your cat love to play, play, play? So do I! Does your cat just want a lap to lay on? That's my favorite!
Information Meagan C. would like to know about your pet
- How is your cat (or cats) with strangers: aggressive? shy? confident? -What is your cat(s) favorite toy/treat/activity? - Is your cat(s) on any medications or have any medical conditions that I need to be aware of or that may impact our time together? -Is your cat on a special diet?
A typical day
Every time I come to your house, your cat will get a five star experience! Of course, that includes the basics: a meal, a water refresh, and a litterbox cleaning. But I also incorporate interactive activities based on your cat's comfort level and preferences! Some examples of activities I find fun and effective are: -Interactive play: helps engage minds and bodies. It not only lowers stress, it also decreases behavioral issues that can appear with routine changes, and makes our sessions fun for everyone! -Clicker training: Did you know cats can be trained similar to dogs? Many cats love figuring out how to get humans to make that popping noise that produces a treat! And it's free for you! -Obstacle courses: cats love figuring out how to get to the piece of food or their favorite toy that's just one more jump or crawl away! -Exploring outside: some cats can't get enough of the great outdoors! Whether that means lying in the grass in the backyard or strolling through the neighborhood, I love experiencing it with your cat! Harness must be provided.

Cat care you can count on!
Cat care experience
Do you come home from trips to a mess? Does your cat's (or cats’) behavior make finding a sitter difficult? Or does your cat just need a little extra love while you're gone? Then I am the sitter for you! I love getting to know cats, discovering what makes them unique, and helping them live their best lives! My favorite ones to spend time with are those who have behavioral challenges, including aggression, high energy, high fear, and more. I have experience with all types of personalities. Growing up, I spent time with community, barn, and house cats. Over the years, I’ve gained nearly a decade of pet sitting experience with both cats and dogs. I currently volunteer at the Iowa City Animal Center, working with cats of all ages and temperaments. And I am the lucky guardian of an adventure-loving, mini-panther named Calida.
Reviews

Meagan has been such a great sitter every single time. I never have any worries leaving my cats when she comes to watch them. She’s been such a joy to have the last few years. Sad I’ll be moving away and unable to have her around to cat sit. I always love the detailed notes and all the pictures. Feels like I’m there with them when she is able to give so much detail paired with the pictures she sends over. If you’ve ever been weary of having someone come into your home to watch your cats, you most definitely do not need to worry. Meagan is great and the cats have really seemed to enjoy
Meagan is our cats' best friend!

Meagan is an excellent cat sitter. She communicates very well about each visit and notes each cat’s particular needs. We know that our cats are cared for well when Megan is our cat sitter!
All most excellent.
