“Taryn was fantastic! I was so surprised that she was able to watch my pups so last minute during a holiday weekend. Without her, I wouldn’t have been able to travel and see my family. My dogs instantly fell in love with having her around and the updates brought me so much happiness to see pictures and details about each check in:) 10/10 would recommend considering Taryn for your animal’s care.”
6. Christian D.
“Christian is fantastic with Whimper and highly communicative. It is my first time leaving the country since my cat’s diabetes diagnosis and he has really helped put my mind at ease. I cannot recommend him highly enough!”
7. Mal L.
About: I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs in my family. I currently have a chocolate lab mix, named Maverick, that I spend most of my free time working with. I also volunteer at the shelter and get experience with all sorts of cats and dogs! I currently work part time and I would love to fill some of that extra time taking care of your pets! I normally work for around 6.5 hours during the day. I can shift things around if need be to better accommodate your pets’ schedule, but unfortunately I am unable to spend all of my time with them during the working week. I love to go on walks and would love to bring your pet along if they’re into that. If you have more of a couch potato, I’m totally happy relaxing with them as well. I generally try to keep their schedule similar to how it is when you’re home! I also have a very friendly pup that would love to play with another dog when the situation is right.
8. Emma H.
“I have seen first-hand how great of a “Dog Mom” Emma is. She takes amazing care of our dog, Sunny, and continues to show so much love and support for other dogs at the Safe Haven animal shelter. Emma is always going to have the best interest of the pets in mind and will be timely/give great effort. She is an absolute animal lover and will take great care of any pet she can!”
9. Jaxson K.
“Great communication and took care of my kitties. Thanks!”
10. Madison S.
“Loved the updates on the kitties and she put up with one of my cats attitudes. Would recommend!”
11. Jeanette R.
“Jeanette was awesome with our zoo while we were away for a week! Jeanette was very reliable and she communicated daily with me about how everything was going, along with daily photos. Jeanette was flexible with her schedule to accommodate our drop-in visit needs as well as loving and patient with our 4 cats (one very elderly kitty), parrot, ducks, quail and chickens. I felt like our pets were in good hands with Jeanette while we were away on vacation!”
12. Elizabeth E.
About: I've been around and cared for dogs on and off since I was a young child. Currently, I volunteer regularly with the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption center and have gone through their training classes on dog behavior and providing appropriate stimulation and play. I've cleaned kennels and walked dogs as small as a Yorkie and as big as a Great Dane with a variety of quirks and behaviors. I love throwing a ball or just sitting and scratching some soft ears; whatever your pupper needs. I work a full-time, remote job that allows me flexibly to work from anywhere and the passion to shower your pet with the love they need and deserve. I work full-time fully remote during the day. I am able to do in-home, overnight, or drop in care with lots of flexibility. If you're close enough, I can drop in over breaks or lunch if necessary. I'll follow all house rules regarding your pet: on or off furniture, outdoor or indoor time, treats, feeding, and walkies. I can drop in multiple times a day, or work from your home to provide all day care/attention
13. Emily B.
“Emily is responsive, takes such sweet pictures of our pup, and leaves us detailed notes about her visits which are so appreciated. Definitely recommend!”
14. Sarah W.
“Sarah took great care of my cats and sent adorable pictures of them while I was away. She went the extra mile and did an outstanding job. They were relaxed and happy when I got home - which says a lot. They are still pretty young and have a lot of energy!”
15. Gillian C.
“Gillian did a great job at letting my two dogs out for potty breaks during the day for me. She was very responsive & great on communication! I will definitely be re booking her for future drop in visits.”
16. Hayley M.
“Hayley looked after our four fur babies while we attended a family wedding for a long weekend. Our dogs have different needs, with one being high energy/reactive (a herding breed) and the other a 5 lb dachshund. We provided Hayley with a detailed guide, which she followed perfectly. She dedicated hours to each of our pets, giving them individual attention. She even made sure our two cats received extra love and care. We were anxious about leaving our pets behind while flying across the country, but Hayley reassured us. She has formed a strong bond with all our animals, and we wouldn't trust anyone else to care for them. 12/10 - highly recommend Hayley!”
17. Morganne M.
“Morganne was great! She communicated well and sent pictures of my pup having the best time. I will absolutely be having her drop in again. She was prompt and professional. 11/10 would recommend Morganne!”
18. Elise P.
“Elise did an amazing job taking care of our dogs! She provided excellent communication, sending updates and ensuring I felt at ease. I highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again in the future! Thank you, Elise!”
19. Jordan S.
“Jordan is great! She is a great communicator and I can tell she really cares about animals. I love the pictures she sends me and the little synopsis she gives about how the day went. I will happily continue to use Jordan to watch over my boys!”
20. Eleanor L.
“Eleanor has taken care of my dog and my cats and she is excellent with both. She walks my dog to a local dog park and lets her run around and get plenty of exercise and my dog loves her. She also spends time with the cats and gives them lots of attention.”
