Availability
I work full time, but I would be available after 5:30pm on weekdays and after noon on Saturday and any time on Sunday. If need be I could also take the pet with me to the clinic and board them there for the day if they can’t be left home alone.

I have a very high energy dog who loves making new friends, and two cats who are friendly but prefer to keep to themselves. I can crate my dog if needed and the cats can be confined if that is needed as well. I can crate pets, administer medications and keep pets happy, healthy, and clean.

A typical day
There is a park connected to my backyard. We could go walk on the trail or run around in the open field. If they’d prefer to stay inside, we have screened in porch so they can look out and enjoy the fresh air and my dog loves to play with other dogs. My cats typically like to do their own thing, so they wouldn’t care too much about another pet in the house. We would also have plenty of time for couch cuddles if that’s what they’d prefer.

Pet care experience
I have owned and currently own both dogs and cats, and I have experience working with animals. I worked in Petland previously and now currently work in a vet clinic as a full time veterinary assistant. I also plan to apply to vet school. I have a lot of experience with dogs and cats of all different sizes, ages and temperaments. I also am canine CPR trained, and I’m knowledgeable about potential medical issues they could have.

I am very very happy with my experience with Asha. I had a wonderful week long trip planned, but was worried about leaving my dogs at home. Not only did the photos with each drop in assure me that my dogs were doing great - Asha’s reports showed me that she understood my dogs and that they were in good hands. This is important because one of my dogs is very slow to trust people and has caused problems with other sitters (like refusing to come inside at all while I was gone). Asha provided great care and her updates helped me relax and enjoy my trip so much more.
Asha was fantastic! She looked after my cat for a month while I was out of the country and I came home to a very happy cat. She and my cat basically became besties.
I had the best experience leaving my dog in Asha's care! She went above and beyond, providing regular updates throughout the day and even sending adorable pictures so I could see how much fun my dog was having. Honestly, I think my dog was a little upset to leave—he had such a great time with Asha! I’m so grateful for the care and attention she gave him, and I will definitely be using her services again in the future. Highly recommend!
Asha is an avid dog lover and a future Veternarion attending the University of Iowa undergraduate Biology program. She is so incredibly kind and loving to both animals and humans, she bing happiness to all that she interacts with. She is an incredibly hard worker and will do everything so that the dog feels loved and safe while in her care. She does a great job dealing with my difficult schedule and shows me and all her other customers the utmost respect. Asha is a prime candidate for this job as she has cared for my dog in the past and did an exceptional job. My dog is now so excited t see when Asha steps in the door because he knows that she truly is the best.
