“Shout out to Nelson who took care of my dog three days/week for the whole semester! He's so dependable and excellent at what he does. I appreciate that he stays in regular contact and communicates clearly. Very grateful to him!”

“Our Teddy loves his time with Isabelle! He comes back ready for a nap! Isabelle is patient and kind. We couldn’t ask for anything more for our new rescue, as he works on training.”

“Matt has been a blessing & has eased our fears of leaving our girl for the day. Matt sent a photo update & stayed in communication with us on a trial run. I know my girl is in good hands with Matt & feel so much better about my day away.”

About: I’ve had multiple dogs growing up, and have dog sat/dog walked for multiple people. I love walking dogs and have even had a little experience in potty training dogs. I’m currently available most hours of the day, including weekends as I work from home. I can be flexible with scheduling and cancelations. I’m good at communication accommodating whatever you may need. I live with two friendly cats and have a semi fenced in back yard where dogs can play and run around. I live in a quiet neighborhood perfect for taking walks in.
About: My best friend of 15 years and her family have two wonderful dogs, a doodle and a lab who I have taken care of so many times. I even watched the doodle when she was just a few months old for about a week during a snow storm while her family was on vacation. They’re a handful but so much fun. I have also cat-sit for up to 3-weeks on end. Giving medicine, checking for packages, and updating if anything seems off. I am a graduate student with very flexible hours. I am happy to spend time with your pet while I study or just for personal therapy. I will make time for animals no matter what. I go above and beyond noting things like if the house temperature is uncomfortable for said pet. I keep them under constant supervision and won’t leave them alone for more than a few hours unless discussed otherwise. I am very thorough and will take extra time to make sure each pet feels comfortable and safe with a new person around them. I know what it takes to be patient with pets.
About: I have taken care of animals for the past 16 years. I have cared for my own family dogs and cat since I was 10. I now have my own cat for the past 3 years. Before I adopted my one cat I have had multiple roommates over the past 6 years with dogs and cats of their own that I have helped care for every day. I frequently pet-sit for my friends and their families when they are out of town. I can handle any pet personality from high energy to anxious or shy. I am gentle and cautious making sure your animal is always comfortable in my company. I do work in patient care, so while my patients are humans, all of my friends, family and coworkers would agree that I provide quality care for all living beings. I just graduated and I am looking for jobs preparing to move back home to Illinois. My lease in Iowa ends at the end of July, so until then I have almost complete availability this summer through end of July. I can do mornings as early as 6:30am and can be available all day until the late evening or night. I am very flexible and willing to work with what pet owners or their pet needs any day of the week. Your home and your pet are my greatest priorities. Whatever your needs may be I am always willing to learn how I can best assist or provide for your pet. I have respect for owners homes and their boundaries as I strongly believe every individual and their pets deserve a safe and healthy environment to thrive in.
“My dog's regular walker had a last-minute emergency and had to cancel on me right at the time of the scheduled walk. I quickly requested a walk with Brennen and he was at my house to walk my dog within 15 minutes of my request. He was super friendly, responsive, and helpful. I am very grateful and will absolutely use Brennen for walks in the future. I would definitely recommend him to anyone else looking for a walker.”

About: I have had many family dogs in the past. I have also provided dog care for neighbors and friends throughout the years. I love dog walking and getting outside! I’m currently a college student working part time this summer. I am usually available all afternoons or all mornings and all evenings during the week and all day on the weekends. I am not able to accommodate other animals in my home because of my own cats needs. I will be more than happy to follow any specific instructions and guidelines for your own pet.

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was a kid and have cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve helped with everything from puppy energy to senior pets and even insulin injections for diabetic animals. I have two dogs and a cat of my own, including one reactive pup, so I’m very comfortable reading body language, handling leash reactivity, and keeping walks calm and safe. I know every pet is different, and I’m patient and attentive to what your animal needs. As a fellow Iowa City local, I understand how important it is to find someone you truly trust. Whether your pet needs structured walks, medication, playtime, or just extra love while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own!
About: I have 12 years of hands-on experience caring for my two dogs, which has helped me develop an understanding of dogs' daily needs and behaviors. I recognize signs of discomfort, stress, and changes in energy, and I adjust to match the dog's personality. In addition to my own dogs, I occasionally watch small and large dogs, as well as cats, giving me more experience in how to care for them. I'm committed to making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. As a student, I manage my time carefully to ensure pets get play time, walks, feedings, and companionship. I also have enough time between classes to check in and take them outside throughout the day. I take safety and trust seriously by following care instructions carefully and maintaining a good environment. I make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and cared for so owners can feel at ease.
“Madison was great! My dog was content each evening when I got home - his walks made all the difference while I had some long days at work. She took pictures and even helped bring my mail in. Very consistent and attentive! Thank you, Maddie!”

“Auden has been fantastic. We have an older dog who needs extra care and she is wonderful with him. Her communication and timeliness are outstanding. We know our little guy is in great hands.”

About: I’ve had and taken care of dogs longer than I can remember, with my childhood dog being a black lab named Rosebud. I’ve dealt with dogs ranging in all shapes and sizes. With the smallest being a Pomeranian and the biggest being a Saint Bernard. I’ve worked with energetic and lazy dogs, understanding the different care needs they might have. I have the basic knowledge on grooming and bathing. I’ve also worked with litter puppies and training puppies. I also understand the care and needs senior dogs may need as well. I currently work part-time as an overnight stocker, which gives me the entire day off to work with your pups. My schedule is very flexible and open for any of your needs. I’m willing to work around my life to fit into yours. I’m located next to many dog parks if that is what your dog needs. I also love walking and am an exercise guru, I’m always ready for a long walk if that’s what your pup prefers. I live by the moto “protecting pups, one paw at a time”. I understand that these animals are family and I strive to ensure their safety and proper care.
About: Dedicated pet caregiver starting my dog walking and pet sitting journey. I grew up with 3 dogs and helped care for them for 10+ years. I will bring love, responsibility, and attentive care. Maria has been absolutely fantastic! I appreciate her timely updates with info and photos. She has been so flexible with my changing schedule and she has taken amazing care of my dog. I trust her wholeheartedly and I can tell my pup enjoys spending time with her. I look forward to continuing to work with her for all my dog care needs.

Sadie was excellent! She was flexible and communicated very well with us throughout the day. We are quite impressed that she invested in the need for our dogs to get outside even on one of the hottest of days this summer. We will definitely reach out to her again! Thanks Sadie!

Jeanette has been so wonderful with our little guy! He’s very nervous and has a lot of behavioral issues, but she has been so patient and kind to him, and he warmed up to her enough that he would let her pick him up and take him on walks. She has really been a blessing!
