About: Hi! I’m Maddy — a lifelong animal lover offering dog walks, drop-in visits, and cat care right here in Iowa City. 🐾 As a pet parent myself, I totally understand how stressful it can feel to leave your furry family member with someone new or worry about them getting out for walks and potty breaks. I treat every pet I care for with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own fur baby. I’ve grown up with animals my entire life and feel comfortable with all breeds and sizes — from tiny kittens to big goofy pups. Whether your pet needs a long walk, a potty break, or just some love and playtime, I’m here to help! I’m experienced with pets who need a little extra care — including administering medications and supporting seniors or anxious pets. My goal is always to make sure your furry family member feels safe, supported, and happy while you’re away. Your pet will always receive: ✨ Consistent updates + photos ✨ Respect for your rules and routines ✨ Reliable, on-time care ✨ Lots of love and attention I’d love to meet you and your pets — send me a message anytime! I’m available Monday–Thursday and Sundays, mostly during the evening and late-night hours, which makes me a great fit for after-work walks, drop-ins, and nighttime routines. I can sometimes offer mid-day/lunch visits if scheduled in advance. Weekends: I am flexible and can usually accommodate requests — just send me a message and I’ll work to make it happen! Because I work from home, I’m able to adjust easily and stick closely to your pet’s normal schedule. If you have specific timing needs, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to create a care plan that works for you and your pet! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I know how much trust it takes to let someone into your home and care for your furry family member, and I never take that lightly. Here’s what you can expect from me every time: 🐾 Safe Handling & Awareness I’m attentive on walks and always keep a secure hold on the leash. I avoid unsafe situations, busy streets, and interactions with other pets unless discussed with you first. 🏡 Respectful In-Home Care I treat your home with complete respect — lights, locks, and routines are followed exactly as requested. I do a quick safety sweep before leaving to ensure your pet is secure and comfortable. 🩺 Medication & Special Needs Friendly If your pet needs medication or a little extra support, I’m comfortable helping with that to keep them healthy and stress-free. 📱 Constant Communication You’ll always receive updates and photos during visits or walks, so you never have to worry how things are going. ❤️ Peace of Mind for Pet Parents As a pet parent myself, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet or worry they’re not getting out enough. I’m here to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for — and that you feel confident while you’re away.
About: My family has 2 dogs (goldendoodles) that I have helped care for since they were puppies, and they are now 9 and 13 years old. Growing up with them, I have experience with every stage of a dogs life, including caring for seniors dogs with medical conditions. I have cared for one or multiple dogs at a time and have experience doing check-ins for potty breaks, walks, and everyday care for multiple families through the past few years! I am currently a full-time student, but my class schedule is only on Tuesdays and Thursdays so it is very easy for me to be flexible and adapt to whatever schedule is needed for pets! Also I am super flexible in general when it comes to scheduling so just shoot me a message and we can figure it out! When doing check ins and walks, I try to follow routines set by each pets family to make dogs feel comfortable. I am well versed on leash awareness, different kinds of feeding regiments, and plenty of fun and play!
“Auden has been fantastic. We have an older dog who needs extra care and she is wonderful with him. Her communication and timeliness are outstanding. We know our little guy is in great hands.”

“Madison was great! My dog was content each evening when I got home - his walks made all the difference while I had some long days at work. She took pictures and even helped bring my mail in. Very consistent and attentive! Thank you, Maddie!”

About: I’ve been a dog lover my whole life, and over the summer said goodbye to my sweet golden doodle of 14 years. He was my bud, and caring for him from puppyhood into his older years taught me so much about love, patience, and the little things dogs need to feel safe and happy. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for neighbors’ and friends’ dogs, everything from energetic puppies to older dogs who needed a gentler care. I’m confident giving medication, following feeding routines, and making sure every dog feels loved. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every dog like family. I’ll send plenty of updates, give lots of love, and make sure your dog is well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits well into my daily life because I’m a senior at the University of Iowa with a flexible schedule. I’m currently taking two classes online and two in person, which leaves me with plenty of open time throughout the day. This allows me to be consistent and reliable with pet care, whether that’s daily walks, feeding, or staying overnight. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I always focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I stick closely to their usual routines, feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care they might need, so things feel familiar while you’re away.

About: I have been around dogs for as long as I can remember. I love meeting new pets as much as I love making new friends! I also love the outdoors and exercise so walking your dog will be the best part of my day! I am staying in Iowa city for the semester and am only working a few times a week as a CNA so I have plenty of time to take your pup out to walk and enjoy nature! I’ll treat you pup like my own and care for them with love and compassion. Always with a smile and care as pets bring us so much joy!
About: My family has owned pets all my life, and I have always enjoyed caring for them, playing and walking with them, and giving them lots of love! I am a Senior nursing student at the University of Iowa and have a set routine each day that way I can take your pet out in the morning, play with them in the afternoon, and be home with them in the evening! I live in a house with a few other roomates so there is always someone home with your pet if it stays with me, I live in a very walkable area and can do lots of walks.
About: I have a lovely 15 year old Aussie Doodle named Olyver. He is back home in Chicago and I miss him so much. I would love to care for your pets and take a much needed break from nursing school! I am mainly available on the weekend, as well as Thursday and Fridays. I am in nursing school so my schedule can be busy but I thought the flexibility of Rover would be perfect for that! Unfortunately, I live in a small apartment with roomates so I would not be able to board your animals. However I have been a babysitter for 6 years so I am familiar with providing care at other people’s homes whether it is an animal or child!

“Jason is awesome! My American Bully is 110lbs and he can make some people nervous. I broke my foot and can’t walk Mako for a bit. I was a bit nervous using Rover but Jason made me a believer. Jason loves all dogs, you can really tell. I’ll be using him often”

“Elena was able to take care of my pup very last minute when I had to have an unexpected trip out of town! As a traveler for work it helps to find people like this I can trust with my baby.”

“Natalie is amazing with my dog, Hazel! She has excellent communication, reliability and reacts well to changing events. She also leaves super detailed notes and follows instructions/ suggestions perfectly. I trust her with Hazel and will continue to be a client.”

Maria has been absolutely fantastic! I appreciate her timely updates with info and photos. She has been so flexible with my changing schedule and she has taken amazing care of my dog. I trust her wholeheartedly and I can tell my pup enjoys spending time with her. I look forward to continuing to work with her for all my dog care needs.

Alexis has been quick to respond, very friendly and wants the best for your pet. We’ve had a good experience with her and know that we can trust her with our puppy! She does great at communicating when we ask about the day or need to tell her something that wasn’t previously discussed.

Sadie was excellent! She was flexible and communicated very well with us throughout the day. We are quite impressed that she invested in the need for our dogs to get outside even on one of the hottest of days this summer. We will definitely reach out to her again! Thanks Sadie!

Jeanette has been so wonderful with our little guy! He’s very nervous and has a lot of behavioral issues, but she has been so patient and kind to him, and he warmed up to her enough that he would let her pick him up and take him on walks. She has really been a blessing!
