âLucas is a great dog walker. He really bonded with my dog. He gave him that extra personal attention that my dog loved! Preston was always excited when he arrived to walk him.â

About: From my own puppy starting at age 10, to my roommateâs cats in college, to my neighborsâ pets in between, I have taken care of all kinds of animals for many years. I love animals and love to help care for them in any way I can! I am living in LaGrange with a part time job that is flexible. Therefore, my pet-care schedule is very flexible as well. I am able to accommodate almost anything during the weekdays if needed! I have a car and am willing to travel to care for your pets, whether that is in-home care, walking them, or playing with them.
âSarah is the first person Iâve ever asked to come visit and walk my dog. I felt so comfortable with her and I can tell my yellow lab really enjoyed time with her. She was able to help me out at the last minute which was such a stress relief as I work in the hospital and unable to leave work. I will absolutely rebook with Sarah and I strongly recommend her services.â

About: I have had many family dogs in the past. I have also provided dog care for neighbors and friends throughout the years. I love dog walking and getting outside! Iâm currently a college student working part time this summer. I am usually available all afternoons or all mornings and all evenings during the week and all day on the weekends. I am not able to accommodate other animals in my home because of my own cats needs. I will be more than happy to follow any specific instructions and guidelines for your own pet.
âOur Teddy loves his time with Isabelle! He comes back ready for a nap! Isabelle is patient and kind. We couldnât ask for anything more for our new rescue, as he works on training.â

About: My best friend of 15 years and her family have two wonderful dogs, a doodle and a lab who I have taken care of so many times. I even watched the doodle when she was just a few months old for about a week during a snow storm while her family was on vacation. Theyâre a handful but so much fun. I have also cat-sit for up to 3-weeks on end. Giving medicine, checking for packages, and updating if anything seems off. I am a graduate student with very flexible hours. I am happy to spend time with your pet while I study or just for personal therapy. I will make time for animals no matter what. I go above and beyond noting things like if the house temperature is uncomfortable for said pet. I keep them under constant supervision and wonât leave them alone for more than a few hours unless discussed otherwise. I am very thorough and will take extra time to make sure each pet feels comfortable and safe with a new person around them. I know what it takes to be patient with pets.

About: Iâve been pet sitting since I was a kid and have cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet needs structured walks, medication, playtime, or just extra love while youâre away, Iâll treat them like theyâre my own!

âMy dog's regular walker had a last-minute emergency and had to cancel on me right at the time of the scheduled walk. I quickly requested a walk with Brennen and he was at my house to walk my dog within 15 minutes of my request. He was super friendly, responsive, and helpful. I am very grateful and will absolutely use Brennen for walks in the future. I would definitely recommend him to anyone else looking for a walker.â

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
