About: I have had many family dogs in the past. I have also provided dog care for neighbors and friends throughout the years. I love dog walking and getting outside! I’m currently a college student working part time this summer. I am usually available all afternoons or all mornings and all evenings during the week and all day on the weekends. I am not able to accommodate other animals in my home because of my own cats needs. I will be more than happy to follow any specific instructions and guidelines for your own pet.

About: Growing up, my parents ensured I was surrounded by animals as much as possible! We always had dogs growing up. Since I was an out-of-state student in college, I began Rover to be able to connect with pets near me. I now live in Iowa City, as I attend Graduate School at the University of Iowa. My girlfriend and I just adopted a cat, so I am also gaining experience with cats!! I am a graduate student at the University of Iowa studying School Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis. I work at the UIowa Children’a Hospital Center for Disabilities and Development a couple of days a week- but my hours are flexible. I do have classes all day on Tuesdays, Thursday nights, and Friday mornings. In my home I have a very big backyard where we can go out and play and I have a fenced in patio where we can hang out at outdoors. We can always go inside as well as my house is spacious.

About: I love meeting new and different kinds of dogs and cats. Neighbors and friends have trusted me to watch their pets and found me as a reliable pet sitter. I will follow instructions as best I can. I’m currently trying to find a part time job, so for the time being I can do anytime, and I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I have an invisible fence for my dog so she can roam free, I also use a leash when I take her for walks outside of my yard. But I can do whatever your pet needs.

About: As both an animal lover and a responsible, dependable person, I take pride in providing exceptional care for every pet I meet. I have experience caring for my own dogs as well as pets belonging to family members, and I understand that every animal has unique needs and personalities. I have a 7-year-old and a 12-week-old golden retriever. They mean the world to me, so I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Spending time with animals genuinely brightens my day, and I believe in the physical and emotional benefits of walks, playtime, and quality one-on-one attention. I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I don’t see dog sitting as just feeding pets and letting them outside. I love giving dogs enrichment through walks, play, attention, and companionship. I enjoy being active and outside, so your dog won’t just be watched, they’ll be cared for, exercised, and genuinely enjoyed. I am currently a student at the University of Iowa with no job, so I have a very flexible schedule aside from my coursework. I have obligations from 3:30–4:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, but outside of that my focus will be on caring for your pets. My schedule allows me to spend plenty of time at home, provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and make sure they receive lots of attention and care throughout the day. When caring for pets in their home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I will follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), potty breaks, playtime, and bedtime routines. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and mental stimulation while also respecting their individual personalities and needs. I will keep your home clean, provide regular updates and photos, and treat both your pets and your home with the same care and respect that I would my own.

About: I’ve interacted with all types of animals and shadowed at veterinary clinics since I was a child. In the past few years, I’ve startedi helping pet sit for friends and family for periods ranging from a couple of days to a few weeks. I work 8:30-5 M-F, but have an hour lunch everyday. I have availability and reliable transportation before and after work hours as well. I make sure to follow owner preferences and safety precautions. This can mean making sure a dog stays away from other animals during walks, or making sure there is no trash around the house that the pet could easily get into.

About: I love meeting and hanging out with pets. I’ve always wanted a dog growing up but never got one. However, my sister has now gotten her own pup, and I’m the happiest aunt! Would be a lovely break during the day! Also, I prefer notice in advance, but sometimes my calendar has gaps and could possibly accept day of :) I can check their water and food. I can open/close shades, doors, etc. If they watch TV, I can make sure it’s playing or change it, etc. They can get play time!

About: I have loved critters of all kinds since childhood. I attended obedience training for my family Rottweiler at age 6, and have cared for many big-breed dogs such as pitbulls, American bulldogs, mastiffs, Great Danes, labs, and more. I have been the trusted pet sitter for friends and family starting as early as middle school, and am also very comfortable around small breeds and senior babies. I have experience with Boston terriers, yorkies, daschunds, beagles, and more. I have and am comfortable with administering necessary meds or topicals for pets with extra health needs. I have also cared for cats, bunnies, fish, and turtles. I am very passionate about rescuing, and happy to discuss any extra care your pet may need due to a life transition like fostering or rescuing. I watched a PETA ad when I was 9 years old and have been vegetarian ever since… I just really love animals! :) I am working part-time from home at the moment, so I am very flexible currently with my schedule. I am typically available in the mornings, afternoons, and early evenings! I have a fenced in backyard, and I do not have a dog of my own. I have a dining area with an extra couch that can be sectioned off if needed for a crate or food. I do have a senior cat who is indoor, who is very friendly with dogs. He grew up around my mom’s beagles, so he doesn’t mind company/energy! I can section off my basement stairs and kitchen for safety if needed. I cannot board any cat-aggressive dogs for my cat’s safety. I do not use any non pet-safe cleaners or pest control in my home.

About: I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy taking care of and spending time with them. I have experience caring for older dogs who may need extra attention, assistance, or medication. I also have extensive experience with energetic dogs, so I understand the importance of exercise, consistency, and routine in keeping them happy and healthy. I am available all times on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. I am also available Tuesdays and Thursdays in the afternoon. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I am able to fit pet care easily into my daily and weekly routine. I have time throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and giving pets the attention and care they need. I am organized and dependable, so I can consistently follow routines, medication schedules, and specific care instructions to make sure pets stay comfortable and happy while their owners are away. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for whether I am in my home or a client’s home. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, bathroom breaks, and any medications or special instructions. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while also respecting their individual personalities and comfort levels. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment and maintaining a clean, calm space. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they are away. My goal is always to make pets feel relaxed, loved, and well cared for.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs since I was five. I grew up on a farm and understand the anxiety that a pet owner has when going on vacation and finding someone to love their pet as they love them. Well, have no fear! I am here to save the day! I am a school teacher by day and dog caregiver by night! I am happy to spend all my afternoons with your pupper or kitty cat! School is starting so availability unfortunately has become a bit more limited, but I will do everything to work with you and to care for your dear sweet fur baby regardless! I will travel to your home to ensure that your pet is in a familiar space. I will give them daily snuggles, walks and attention. I will treat your pet as if they were my own loving on them and treating them. I am happy to take them on daily walks, to the park and to stay the night at your place.

About: I am a medical student. I have put all of my efforts towards caring for others and their loved ones. My pet care experience first started when my family got a red-fox laboratory puppy seven years ago. It was a dream come true, something my sister and I had waited for many years. While Bhima, our puppy, was just a bundle of fun, he came with a load of responsibilities. From grooming to bathing to brushing to walking, a lot of the responsibility relied heavily on my sister and I. I hope to care for my rover pets with the same attention to detail, love, and affection, as I have been caring for Bhima over the last four years. I am very active, flexible, and outgoing. I’d love to hear from you and get to know you and your pet! I am available for dog walks during the evenings and weekends! I am flexible based on the needs of the pet, but will need to work around my class schedule! Your pet would be accompanied by my own in my home. I make sure that the environment the pet stays in is safe and comfortable for the pet, and am willing to accommodate any changes that will make the pet more comfortable. I also have a yard that the pet can play in in addition to any walks that I will take the pet on.

About: - Currently working as veterinary assistant in the Hills/Iowa city area. - Veterinary experience - Experience working with dogs in a boarding facility, comfortable and knowledgeable of all breeds and sizes! - 10+ years of experience working with cats and dogs! - Recently Certified ABC dog trainer! - Experience working with senior and special needs pets I take care and give love to each pet as if they’re my own! ❤️ Currently, I’m free all day every Wednesday for full care. Most weekends I’m free, occasionally I may not be available Saturday mornings. Other wise Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday I’m available anytime before 7:30am and after 5:30pm. Depending on the owner, each home and environment is different. Communication with owners is a key factor when it comes to the safety and understanding of each pets environment and needs.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have lots of experience with dogs of all ages and breeds. I have also had a cat for multiple years and have done cat care for family members. I volunteer at an animal shelter on the weekends, and I am also currently working towards a bachelors degree in Animal Science! I am currently a full time student, but I am usually free on the weekends or in the evenings. It definitely depends on the week, but I am very open to trying to make my schedule work with yours! While caring for your pet I will make sure they are enriched both mentally and physically. I plan to do whatever is needed to keep you and your pet happy!
