“Fawn is great with my 9 week old puppy. She recently raised a puppy of her own so knew what I was going though in terms of chewing etc. She was always quick to respond, on time and sent updates of what they were up to even though they she baby sat for a short period of time. Fawn brought her kids with as well (after asking of course) - which was wonderful because my puppy needs the socialization and they tired her out! Fawn is kind, gentle and very respective of your wishes and your home. She has been with my puppy every day this week so far and we are loving it!”

I have an invisible fence for my dog so she can roam free, I also use a leash when I take her for walks outside of my yard. But I can do whatever your pet needs.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs since I was five. I grew up on a farm and understand the anxiety that a pet owner has when going on vacation and finding someone to love their pet as they love them. Well, have no fear! I am here to save the day! I am a school teacher by day and dog caregiver by night! I am happy to spend all my afternoons with your pupper or kitty cat! School is starting so availability unfortunately has become a bit more limited, but I will do everything to work with you and to care for your dear sweet fur baby regardless! I will travel to your home to ensure that your pet is in a familiar space. I will give them daily snuggles, walks and attention. I will treat your pet as if they were my own loving on them and treating them. I am happy to take them on daily walks, to the park and to stay the night at your place.

About: As both an animal lover and a responsible, dependable person, I take pride in providing exceptional care for every pet I meet. I have experience caring for my own dogs as well as pets belonging to family members, and I understand that every animal has unique needs and personalities. I have a 7-year-old and a 12-week-old golden retriever. They mean the world to me, so I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I am currently a student at the University of Iowa with no job, so I have a very flexible schedule aside from my coursework. I have obligations from 3:30–4:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, but outside of that my focus will be on caring for your pets. My schedule allows me to spend plenty of time at home, provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and make sure they receive lots of attention and care throughout the day. When caring for pets in their home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I will follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), potty breaks, playtime, and bedtime routines. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and mental stimulation while also respecting their individual personalities and needs. I will keep your home clean, provide regular updates and photos, and treat both your pets and your home with the same care and respect that I would my own.

About: I have had many family dogs in the past. I have also provided dog care for neighbors and friends throughout the years. I love dog walking and getting outside! I’m currently a college student working part time this summer. I am usually available all afternoons or all mornings and all evenings during the week and all day on the weekends. I am not able to accommodate other animals in my home because of my own cats needs. I will be more than happy to follow any specific instructions and guidelines for your own pet.

About: I am a medical student. I have put all of my efforts towards caring for others and their loved ones. My pet care experience first started when my family got a red-fox laboratory puppy seven years ago. It was a dream come true, something my sister and I had waited for many years. While Bhima, our puppy, was just a bundle of fun, he came with a load of responsibilities. From grooming to bathing to brushing to walking, a lot of the responsibility relied heavily on my sister and I. I hope to care for my rover pets with the same attention to detail, love, and affection, as I have been caring for Bhima over the last four years. I am very active, flexible, and outgoing. I’d love to hear from you and get to know you and your pet! I am available for dog walks during the evenings and weekends! I am flexible based on the needs of the pet, but will need to work around my class schedule! Your pet would be accompanied by my own in my home. I make sure that the environment the pet stays in is safe and comfortable for the pet, and am willing to accommodate any changes that will make the pet more comfortable. I also have a yard that the pet can play in in addition to any walks that I will take the pet on.

About: I love meeting and hanging out with pets. I’ve always wanted a dog growing up but never got one. However, my sister has now gotten her own pup, and I’m the happiest aunt! Would be a lovely break during the day! Also, I prefer notice in advance, but sometimes my calendar has gaps and could possibly accept day of :) I can check their water and food. I can open/close shades, doors, etc. If they watch TV, I can make sure it’s playing or change it, etc. They can get play time!

About: I’ve interacted with all types of animals and shadowed at veterinary clinics since I was a child. In the past few years, I’ve startedi helping pet sit for friends and family for periods ranging from a couple of days to a few weeks. I work 8:30-5 M-F, but have an hour lunch everyday. I have availability and reliable transportation before and after work hours as well. I make sure to follow owner preferences and safety precautions. This can mean making sure a dog stays away from other animals during walks, or making sure there is no trash around the house that the pet could easily get into.

I want to understand what makes your pet comfortable and what situations I should be aware of before we head out. For walks, I'll follow your instructions regarding leashes, harnesses, and walking routines and will keep your pet supervised and secure at all times. I'll never let a dog off leash unless you've specifically asked me to and we're in an appropriate, safe area. For drop in visits, I'll follow your instructions for potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and cuddles. I'm also comfortable giving oral medications such as pills when clear instructions are provided. I'll make sure doors, gates, and other entry points are securely closed before leaving. I know every pet is different, so I don't assume that one approach works for every dog. I'll take the time to learn your pet's needs and follow the routines and boundaries you've established for them. I'll also send photos and an update after each visit so you know how your pup is doing!

About: I have two dogs of my own who I often take for long walks! I have also been dog sitting for my neighbors and family in the area for the past few years! I have a very flexible schedule! My class schedule leaves me with lots of availability during the week, and my weekends will often be completely free. Whenever I’m watching a dog, I make sure to frequently take them for short walks for bathroom breaks, and I take them for 1-2 long walks per day depending on their energy level. I make sure to spend some time before and after each walk with the dog to help them get to know me, and build a relationship with them.
