6. Ian R.
About: Hi, my name is Ian! I'm new to Rover but have owned pets my entire life. Seniors are my forte, but I'm comfortable working with cats and dogs of any age. I have lots of prior experience petsitting and doing work with the Iowa City Animal Shelter. Hope to hear from you! My schedule is very flexible - I am available weekends and weekdays from late morning (9/10am) to late evening. Currently I am unavailable on Thursday and Friday evenings between 6pm and 9pm, but can do late-night visits on those days. Before the first official visit, I will ask about pertinent info about your home, like if there is a room / area of the house your pet is not allowed in. If any smaller messes happen (accidents, tracking dirt, etc.) I am happy to clean them up with no extra charge. I do my very best to leave people's space the way it looked before the visit.

7. Carly & Angela A.

“Carly and Angela were incredible and really helped me out in a pinch! They were flexible and great communicators. I will definitely be using them again! Highly recommend.”

8. Jenna B.

“Jenna was awesome with our zoo! Great communication about what was going on while we were away. She went above and beyond what was required, such as taking the trash bin out and bringing treats for the chickens from her home. Very reliable and thorough and would definitely recommend!”

9. Sierra L.

“Sierra is conscientious and gentle, caring for my older cat and administering medications while I was away. I’m grateful for her kindness, and I appreciated the time she took to make sure Oliver was well and had company. She sent thorough updates with photos, which were also greatly appreciated. I wouldn’t hestitate to recommend her or to book with her again.”

10. Jeanette R.

11. Maddie W.

“We have used Maddie for about a year now to watch our cats. Maddie is an expert at caring for them and it really shows in the details for the care she provides. We have a cat with special needs and we feel super comfortable leaving them in her care. She’s really thoughtful in everything she does, is a great communicator, responds in a timely manner, and is super fair with pricing. I love having her around and would always be willing to give her any kind of reference she needs”

12. matt b.

“Matt was great with my senior kitty! He was able to take her on with short notice. He was attentive and made sure she was well loved while I was gone.”

13. Anna R.

I have appreciated her sincere love of our pets as well as her flexibility and her commitment to their care. I know that I can leave town without stressing when Annie is taking care of our pets because they are in such great hands!”

14. Alyssa M.
About: Hi! My name is Alyssa and I'm a second-year student at the University of Iowa & born/raised in Iowa City. I've been caring for pets on my own for around 10 years now, and I absolutely love it! I currently work at Lucky Pawz Daycare and have been since July of 2022. I also own a border collie/ poodle mixed dog and adore both cats and dogs. With me, your pet(s) will receive the best care along with any additional tasks if requested. I’m currently looking for a part-time job outside of being a student at the University of Iowa. I have very open availability on weekdays and weekends as well! I offer house/pet sitting, walking, and drop-in visits any day, as well as daycare/boarding in your home on certain days! I am willing to do whatever it takes to make your pet feel as loved and comforted as possible!

17. Emma S.
“Emma has taken care of multiple of my cats and dogs for the past 3.5 years and has always done a fantastic job! She is so caring and all of my pets have always loved to see her. Emma goes out of her way to ensure that all of my pets have gotten plenty physical and mental stimulation. I will always trust her to take care of my pets and cannot recommend her enough for anyone else to consider. You will be so happy with the care she provides!”

18. Alexander K.
About: I grew up with dogs and have always enjoyed taking care of them. I've taken care of old dogs, puppies, and dogs in their prime. I love taking dogs on walks, especially if I can run with them. Getting outside is great. I'm a busy guy, but any second I'm not working is a waste. I work overnights during weekdays and part-time jobs every day except Sunday. I hope pet care can fill the gaps in my schedule. I don't board now because of the rules of my landlord, but I will stay in other homes and get dogs outside whenever I can. I love taking dogs to the park and getting them exercise.

19. Emma V.
“Emma V grew up in a family who raised golden retrievers. I witnessed her care for each litter and she did a phenomenal job. There is no doubt Emma would take the best care of your puppies / kitties and give them unconditional love. On top of her exceptional animal care, she is extremely responsible and trustworthy. I highly recommend her for your pet care needs! You won't be disappointed.”

20. Shelby S.
“It is a pleasure to recommend Shelby as a pet sitter. She has cared for our cat, Buddy Holly, a number of times. He is 12 years old and usually hides when someone visits our home. When Shelby arrives he runs toward her. She is reliable and can be counted on to take care of our beloved pet.”
