About: I love meeting new and different kinds of dogs and cats. Neighbors and friends have trusted me to watch their pets and found me as a reliable pet sitter. I have an invisible fence for my dog so she can roam free, I also use a leash when I take her for walks outside of my yard. But I can do whatever your pet needs.

About: I have had many family dogs in the past. I have also provided dog care for neighbors and friends throughout the years. I love dog walking and getting outside! I’m currently a college student working part time this summer. I am usually available all afternoons or all mornings and all evenings during the week and all day on the weekends. I am not able to accommodate other animals in my home because of my own cats needs. I will be more than happy to follow any specific instructions and guidelines for your own pet.

About: Growing up, my parents ensured I was surrounded by animals as much as possible! We always had dogs growing up. Since I was an out-of-state student in college, I began Rover to be able to connect with pets near me. I now live in Iowa City, as I attend Graduate School at the University of Iowa. My girlfriend and I just adopted a cat, so I am also gaining experience with cats!! I am a graduate student at the University of Iowa studying School Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis. I work at the UIowa Children’a Hospital Center for Disabilities and Development a couple of days a week- but my hours are flexible. I do have classes all day on Tuesdays, Thursday nights, and Friday mornings. In my home I have a very big backyard where we can go out and play and I have a fenced in patio where we can hang out at outdoors. We can always go inside as well as my house is spacious.

Your pet's safety, comfort, and individual needs are always my top priority. Before each booking, I'll ask questions about your pet's personality, routine, training, leash behavior, reactivity, triggers, and how they interact with other dogs, cats, and people. I want to understand what makes your pet comfortable and what situations I should be aware of before we head out. For walks, I'll follow your instructions regarding leashes, harnesses, and walking routines and will keep your pet supervised and secure at all times. I'll never let a dog off leash unless you've specifically asked me to and we're in an appropriate, safe area. For drop in visits, I'll follow your instructions for potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and cuddles. I'm also comfortable giving oral medications such as pills when clear instructions are provided. I'll make sure doors, gates, and other entry points are securely closed before leaving. I know every pet is different, so I don't assume that one approach works for every dog. I'll take the time to learn your pet's needs and follow the routines and boundaries you've established for them. I'll also send photos and an update after each visit so you know how your pup is doing!

About: I’ve interacted with all types of animals and shadowed at veterinary clinics since I was a child. In the past few years, I’ve startedi helping pet sit for friends and family for periods ranging from a couple of days to a few weeks. I work 8:30-5 M-F, but have an hour lunch everyday. I have availability and reliable transportation before and after work hours as well. I make sure to follow owner preferences and safety precautions. This can mean making sure a dog stays away from other animals during walks, or making sure there is no trash around the house that the pet could easily get into.

About: Growing up I always had cats and/or dogs in the house so I've had animal caretaking experience since a very young age. I currently have a very sweet 2y/o XL Bully, a very crazy 9 y/o Pit Bull-Jack Russell Terrier mix, and two adorable kittens. I've stayed up to two weeks in non-family memeber's homes to care for their pets and have never had complaints I am currently unemployed. So I will be able to spend a lot of time with your pets. I'm searching for remote work so hopefully even when I'm employed I will be able to work around your animals' schedule. When I wake up I make sure the animals are fed before feeding myself, I don't let my day start unless their tummies are full. I love snuggling up with animals and making sure they have plenty of playtime.
