About: I am a responsible college student athlete who is very active and loves to be around pets. I have grown up with 1-3 pets in the house my whole life, and I have learned to take care of them to the best of my abilities. I have gotten used to doing the many duties involved with taking care of a pet, including picking up waste. My summer is busy enough to create a schedule to keep me organized, but I have more than enough free time to take care of your pet(s)! I have always been a lover of bigger dogs, which is the size of dog I have the most experience with, but I have been a dog-sitter for small dogs too. I am open and comfortable with a variety!

I am available mornings, evenings, and weekends. My schedule is flexible, and on the days I work from home, I can provide plenty of attention and companionship. When I work in the office, I'm only a two-minute walk away, allowing me to stay readily available and responsive to your pet's needs. In a client's home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and household routines. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, affection, and exercise, while also respecting the pet owner's home and preferences.For drop-in visits and walks, I provide fresh water, meals as directed, bathroom breaks, exercise, enrichment, and lots of love. Care at my home I continue the same routines the pets are used to. I have plenty of room and a fenced in yard.

About: I’m a certified animal lover with a fur baby of my own (Henry, 9lb of quiet sweetness) that I’ve been caring for over 10 years. I’m an MFA candidate at the Writers’ Workshop, which allows me to study from home most of the week. If I am busy on a specific day during your booking, I will let you know ahead of time so you can approve or deny the amount of hours I will be gone for that day (which usually ranges from 1-3h workshops). I have experience as a dog owner, but have also spent many of my years dog and cat sitting for my friends and family. I raised and trained my parents puppy, a Bichon Frise Shih Tzu mix who needed lots of care to control his barking and playful nature, now 6 years old and so loving. I’m experience with a range of ages and needs, including puppies and elder animals with special care needs. I love dogs, as you can tell, and have all the time in the world to watch and play with them! I prefer dogs and cats have been handled and are used to being cared for, with no history of lashing out or biting. Whether you need me to cuddle, feed, brush, walk, or play with your pup, I'm your gal. Note: while I take a combo of meds for my dander allergy and have a high tolerance, I ask that any animals/homes with animals with high shedding be appropriately groomed and cleaned before sitting. If I stay in your home, a vacuuming or light cleaning does wonders. If your fur baby is boarded in my home, a bath or deshedding session beforehand is much appreciated. I work from home, so pet care can be a day round activity for me. If I am sitting in your home or doing check ins, I can stay or come by as frequently as needed, given availability based on any events or sessions I have previously booked. I will always communicate with pet parents about the needs for their specific fur baby. I understand all needs are unique, so aside from common sense (walks, feedings, playing), I’ll make sure to tailor their care as needed.

About: I have 15 years of experience working as a veterinary technician, along with a lifetime of caring for and loving animals. My veterinary background has given me extensive hands on experience with dogs, cats and other animal species of all ages, breeds, personalities, and care needs. I'm comfortable caring for pets who need a little extra attention and special care with medications, recognizing changes in behavior or health and following detailed care instructions. Most importantly I work FULLY REMOTE so I do not leave home most generally unless to take my dog for a walk, visit the farm for open running and space, or short errands. I am so happy to provide you with regular photo/video updates so you can enjoy your time away without worrying about your furry family member. I do not use crates/kennels in any way unless that is your preference or training method. I own a dog as pictured whom is very friendly and used to having playdates with all pet breeds and species and is very well trained, gentle and calm and loving to others of all ages and seems to change her disposition and energy level based on how playful or age wise the other animal is. I have a flexible schedule that allows me plenty of time to give your pets the attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship they need. I’m available for overnight boarding as well as daytime care and can accommodate many weekday and weekend stays. I can fulfill long multi week stays if need. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. About: I have grown up with dogs and animals of all sizes my whole life! I currently have a family dog back at home in Illinois (cavachon, 6 years old) who I miss taking care of deeply. I am in med school here in Iowa city for the summer and have very flexible hours, weekends, and payment choices! As I mentioned earlier, I am an ultrasound student in Iowa City Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. I have certain days off through the week / available almost every weekend! I live at a graduate student / health care worker apartment complex with a dog park and lots of grass and greenery / walking trails all around the complex! Very animal friendly buildings. I also live alone and have a lot of space!

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, and turtles. I also have worked as a ranch hand with large dogs and cattle for six months in Iowa. The dogs I’ve worked with have ranged from 115-pounds and energetic to 10 pounds and quiet. I’ve been dog-walking and dog-sitting on and off for 15 years and love spending time with and caring for them. I’m currently working part time as a professor so have almost unlimited flexibility when it comes to walks and pet-sitting. During the day I may have a class to teach, but these obligations usually only take about an hour. I have plenty of room in the home with the ability to section off smaller rooms and live near a large park where animals with lots of energy can join me for long walks.
