About: We love dogs and your little one will receive lots of love and one on one attention as we welcome him or her into our home. Our little Ronnie loves to play with dogs his own size or smaller. We don't have a fenced in yard, which means we will always be playing with and alongside your dog keeping him or her safe and happy and comfortable. We love to walk your dog also so he or she will get plenty of potty breaks and time to smell and get to know our neighborhood! We only care for one dog at a time, besides our own little guy Ronnie... so the two will become best friends! Faye is a full-time stay at home dog mom and my husband Rob helps take over dog care responsibilities after and before he goes to work. We make it a team effort so your dog will always have his or her needs met and get maximum love and attention. Safety comes first with your pet. We have a home that is safe and perfect for your little dog. We will welcome them into our family and treat them gently and with compassion... realizing that it's tough being away from your owners for a few days. We will love your puppy as much as we love our own Ronnie!
“Katrina and her family were wonderful! This was the first time my dog has stayed with someone other than family. He was pretty nervous at first and I could tell he didn’t want me to leave but they made him feel at home. Katrina sent me a picture to let me know he calmed down and warmed up to their house. I felt so relaxed knowing he was at a loving home. I definitely recommend Katrina and will definitely use her again when we leave town.”

“Our Ronnie loves Sana and the one on one attention he gets from her! We will always pick her to watch Ronnie because he absolutely loves her! And she loves him right back. She takes such great care of Ronnie and we completely trust her with our most precious dog Ronnie! Thank you Sana!!”

“I can't recommend Olivia enough! We were in town for a graduation and our Airbnb didn't allow pets. I needed to secure a boarding place for my little maltipoo ASAP. Olivia accommodated my schedule and need so well. I appreciated her taking my last minute request and keeping me updated with pictures/videos. My furbaby had a great time and my mind was at ease. You can count on Olivia!”

“Pam watched our Standard Poodle for 8 nights. We had an absolutely amazing experience! She was outstanding from start to finish, her communication was consistent and thoughtful, with daily updates and photos that gave us so much peace of mind. Sansa was clearly so well cared for, she got daily walks, tons of attention, and was honestly spoiled in the best way. It was obvious she was treated like part of the family. Her home is beautiful and very well maintained, and you can truly tell she loves what she does. That kind of genuine care is hard to find. We will 100% book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can fully trust with their pet.”

“Tori has been hands down AMAZING with our pups! We have a 6 year old springer spaniel and a 6 month old husky/German shepherd mix! They get along well with her dogs and they love the fenced yard and all the attention!”

“My dog Dash loves going over to Rachel’s house to play with her dogs and of course to go see Rachel! She always makes sure that Dash gets enough play time and goes on plenty of walks. Dash also loves car rides and gets to tag along whenever she has quick errands to run, and he often gets spoiled with pup cups through the Starbucks drive-thru. With my permission and built trust, I have allowed her to take him anywhere to run errands, visit friends, and family. Thank you so much Rachel for taking care of Dash!”

“Paul was awesome! My doggies had a great time and I know they were well cared for. Winnie was so tired at pick up, so I know she played a lot with his little dog which gave Ellie some time to relax. Appreciated the update during the stay to make sure all was well! Thank you Paul! Especially with a short notice weekend stay for two doggies. Thank you!”
About: I am looking forward to meeting and caring for your fur babies. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns you may have! Generally, my pup gets some play time and exercise in the morning before work, during lunch, and then after work. During work hours, they hang with me in my office playing with toys, enjoying a chewy treat or just cuddling and napping while I work. I have a friendly dog who loves to play (he can be a little vocal - it's the terrier in him) and will be happy to give your fur baby some company. I allow my dog on the furniture and beds, but if you prefer not to, I am happy to adjust per your need. Let me know if your dogs need a specific routine or have play preferences. My main goal is to make sure their time with me is stress-free and they miss you as little as possible.
About: Welcome to BarkBnB, where pups come to stay, play, and feel right at home. 🐾 I’m a work from home dog lover and proud pet parent to my two dogs, Onix and Eevee. Yes, there’s a little Pokémon energy in this house, playful, friendly, and always ready for the next adventure. When your dog stays with us, they won’t be stuck waiting around for attention. Since I work from home, they’ll have companionship throughout the day, regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, and plenty of love. I want every pup to feel safe, comfortable, and included like part of the family. We also have a large fenced-in yard that’s perfect for zoomies, fetch, sniffing, sunbathing, and getting out that extra energy. Whether your dog is an active adventurer or a professional couch cuddler, I’ll match their vibe and make sure they get the care, exercise, and attention they need. You’ll also never have to wonder how your pup is doing. I send daily pictures and videos so you can see the tail wags, playtime, nap spots, and happy moments for yourself. What your dog can expect: 🐾 A safe, welcoming home environment 🎾 Plenty of exercise and supervised outdoor play 🏡 A large fenced-in yard for fun and freedom 📸 Daily photo and video updates 💻 Constant attention from a work from home sitter 🐶 Friendly dog company with Onix and Eevee 💤 Cozy overnight care that feels like a staycation Think of it as a doggy vacation, with more belly rubs, better snacks, and a lot less stress for you. Pet care fits naturally into my everyday routine because I’m home, available, and already living a dog-friendly lifestyle. My schedule gives me the flexibility to build the day around the pets in my care — whether that means extra potty breaks, play sessions in the yard, walks, feeding schedules, cuddle time, or just being nearby so they feel settled and secure. I’m not someone who squeezes pet care in around a busy day away from home. It’s part of the rhythm here. Dogs get attention throughout the day, plenty of chances to burn off energy, and a calm home environment where they can relax between playtime. I also make updates part of the routine, so owners can expect daily pictures and videos that show how their pet is doing, not just a quick “everything is fine.” My goal is to make each stay feel easy, active, safe, and reassuring from drop-off to pick-up. treat every pet like family and focus on creating a calm, comfortable experience tailored to their personality and routine. Since I work from home, dogs get plenty of attention throughout the day and are rarely left alone. Between supervised outdoor time in the large fenced yard, walks, play, enrichment activities, and downtime, I aim to make their stay feel safe, fun, and low-stress. I also know how important communication is while you’re away, so I send regular photo and video updates to keep owners connected and reassured.
“Shannon and her family were so amazing with our pups! We got daily updates with pictures of them enjoying their time away from home. Definitely would recommend for anyone and will return the next time we someone to watch our pups!”
“This was our first time using Rovr and Ali couldn’t have been better to work with. She was very flexible and took great care of our dog. She sent plenty of photos so we knew he was doing okay. I would highly recommend her and know that if we use Rovr again, we will gladly use Ali’s service again.”

“Savanna was so great! She boarded my 3 dogs on short notice after I was injured, and even kept them an extra day. The dogs all seemed happy and comfortable, and her daily pictures were so nice!”

“They took wonderful care of my new puppy and senior dog that is fearful of storms. My senior dog was given meds as instructed and I was told DL stayed up with him til midnight to comfort him during the storms. I so loved the pictures they sent.”

“Quimyia is great. She was available on short notice. Her dog is super friendly. While I was gone she took multiple pics and videos while providing updates. My puppy came home happy and clean!”

About: Dog sitting is more than potty breaks and bowls of kibble, it's loving an animal like they're your own, and I'm the best at what I do! I've had dogs all my life, and in addition to personal pet care I've worked in the pet business from the very beginning of my career. I've got a background in the veterinary world as well as a tour through the doggy boarding, daycare, and even training! I've done all the training and certifications to make me the very best in the industry! I understand the needs and behaviors of different dogs and can provide appropriate care based on their age, breed, and individual personality. I've got you covered down the very last detail! Your furry friend needs medication? I'm certified to administer everything from pills to insulin shots! Specialty diet? I'm minding every detail! Working with me is giving your dog a best friend who cares about them, from the tip of their nose to the top of their tail! I'm a stay at home wife, so I'm available all day every day to give your animal all the attention in the world! When you book with me you get the best of the best! If I'm in your home I'm a well mannered guest, I make the bed, do the dishes, and take out the trash. I leave it how you left it, my goal is for you to question if I was even there! When in my own home your animals have the run of our home during the day and a comfortable bed at night! I have two well socialized, well trained, pups who love to play but know when to settle and relax. We do kennel our dogs for their own comfort as they get restless when alone, but I offer a kennel free boarding experience!
“Trish was amazing with Finnegan! She was super responsive and I could tell from the pictures and videos she was sending me that he had a blast. I will definitely be bringing Finn back to her and I highly recommend others to do the same.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cedar Rapids
We did a meet and greet to see if our dog was a good fit for them and it was! They provided daily updates of pictures, videos, and informative descriptions of what our dog did and overall performance. They were responsive and open in communication. Would recommend to anyone!

Nathan is amazing. He has watched my Wrigley twice now. Wrigley can be skittish at times, but Nathan is patient and takes amazing care of our boy. Anyone in Cedar Rapids area Nathan is the dog sitter you should use if you want your dog taken care of while you are away.

Sana was incredible with our guy Bruce. At the last second, she agreed to stay at our house instead because it would make both me and Bruce more comfortable, and she gave us updates the whole vacation. She hasn’t been gone long and I’m sure Bruce already misses her!! I can’t recommend Sana enough!!

Jena is awesome! This was my first time using Rover. I was nervous to leave my dog with a stranger but my dog was in good hands with Jena. She was easy to communicate with and gave frequent updates. My dog is usually pretty anxious but Jena made her feel right at home. We will definitely be using her again.

I can't recommend Olivia enough! You can count on Olivia!

Rebecca took outstanding care of our beloved cat while we were out of the country for two months. She is caring, kind, professional, and knows how to interact with cats. We appreciated that she provided updates and photos whenever our spotty internet allowed. I would recommend her to others without reservation!

Katrina and her family were wonderful! I definitely recommend Katrina and will definitely use her again when we leave town.

Ashleigh is THE BEST!!!! Sitter I've ever had for Mu. Her dog is so cute and friendly, and Mu (who usually hides in fear around other dogs) actually started playing with her immediately. Ashleigh sent so many pics and was so sweet to Mu, it was a huge relief to not have to worry about Mu's care on my trip. Mu usually refuses to eat when I'm not around, but she ate her full meals with this sitter. Ashleigh is something special, and will make your dog feel right at home!

Austin did a great job with Teddy while we were out of town for a week. His dog Sadie is a gem, ands Teddy got along really well with her. We are always a little nervous to leave Teddy with a new sitter due to his size, but this was a very good experience and we’ll be using Austin again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
