“Emily did an awesome job of taling care of Lucy. She sent me daily photos and text updates on how everything was going. Tgis was a cery short notice request and Emily took it all in stride and made it happen. We will use her again”

“Sana did a wonderful job taking care of our 11 month old puppy. It was the first time we left her for more than 1 overnight. We were gone for 11 days. Sana sent pictures or videos everyday to let us know how JoJo was doing. When JoJo was showing signs of discomfort, Sana went above and beyond taking care of our pup and making sure she was as comfortable as possible. It was obvious Sana loved our puppy as her own and that our puppy loved her back. I was appreciative that Sana let me know something wasn't right with our pup without worrying me too much on vacation but also being respectful and considerate by reaching out for my input on how to handle the situation. Sana was also very flexible with drop off and pick up times. We had a meet and greet ahead of time which helped ease our minds about everything. We will definitely be asking Sana first next time we are looking for a sitter.”

“Katrina and her family were wonderful! This was the first time my dog has stayed with someone other than family. He was pretty nervous at first and I could tell he didn’t want me to leave but they made him feel at home. Katrina sent me a picture to let me know he calmed down and warmed up to their house. I felt so relaxed knowing he was at a loving home. I definitely recommend Katrina and will definitely use her again when we leave town.”

“Tori has been hands down AMAZING with our pups! We have a 6 year old springer spaniel and a 6 month old husky/German shepherd mix! They get along well with her dogs and they love the fenced yard and all the attention!”

“If I could give a 10 star rating I would. Hatcher was very well taken care of. So much so that upon leaving it was obvious he was missing his new found friends. I can't say enough about how wonderful and stress free the experience was for both myself and my puppy. Great experience all around. Thank you so much.”
“Shannon and her family were so amazing with our pups! We got daily updates with pictures of them enjoying their time away from home. Definitely would recommend for anyone and will return the next time we someone to watch our pups!”
“The dogs loved their stay with Ali N. - a very dog-friendly environment and positive vibe and you could tell how happy the dogs were from the photos. Very good communication and a real dog lover.”
About: I am looking forward to meeting and caring for your fur babies. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns you may have! Generally, my pup gets some play time and exercise in the morning before work, during lunch, and then after work. During work hours, they hang with me in my office playing with toys, enjoying a chewy treat or just cuddling and napping while I work. I have a friendly dog who loves to play (he can be a little vocal - it's the terrier in him) and will be happy to give your fur baby some company. I allow my dog on the furniture and beds, but if you prefer not to, I am happy to adjust per your need. Let me know if your dogs need a specific routine or have play preferences. My main goal is to make sure their time with me is stress-free and they miss you as little as possible.
“Paul was awesome! My doggies had a great time and I know they were well cared for. Winnie was so tired at pick up, so I know she played a lot with his little dog which gave Ellie some time to relax. Appreciated the update during the stay to make sure all was well! Thank you Paul! Especially with a short notice weekend stay for two doggies. Thank you!”
“Susan is a very nice person and you can tell she really loves dogs . She was very good at communicating and sending photos during my dog’s stay . Susan’s husband Mark is also very good and a dog lover . My dog had a lot of fun with her dogs . I highly recommend her . She took really good care of my dog for the week he stayed .”

“Quimyia is great. She was available on short notice. Her dog is super friendly. While I was gone she took multiple pics and videos while providing updates. My puppy came home happy and clean!”
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats and have cared for families pets over the years. I used to have 2 cats! I love to spend time with animals and go for walks! I frequently dog sit for my sisters lab! I would love to take care of your baby! 🥰 I’m currently working full time Mon-Fri! The best time for me is weekends! About: Dog sitting is more than potty breaks and bowls of kibble, it's loving an animal like they're your own, and I'm the best at what I do! I've had dogs all my life, and in addition to personal pet care I've worked in the pet business from the very beginning of my career. I've got a background in the veterinary world as well as a tour through the doggy boarding, daycare, and even training! I've done all the training and certifications to make me the very best in the industry! I understand the needs and behaviors of different dogs and can provide appropriate care based on their age, breed, and individual personality. I've got you covered down the very last detail! Your furry friend needs medication? I'm certified to administer everything from pills to insulin shots! Specialty diet? I'm minding every detail! Working with me is giving your dog a best friend who cares about them, from the tip of their nose to the top of their tail! I'm a stay at home wife, so I'm available all day every day to give your animal all the attention in the world! When you book with me you get the best of the best! If I'm in your home I'm a well mannered guest, I make the bed, do the dishes, and take out the trash. I leave it how you left it, my goal is for you to question if I was even there! When in my own home your animals have the run of our home during the day and a comfortable bed at night! I have two well socialized, well trained, pups who love to play but know when to settle and relax. We do kennel our dogs for their own comfort as they get restless when alone, but I offer a kennel free boarding experience!
“They took wonderful care of my new puppy and senior dog that is fearful of storms. My senior dog was given meds as instructed and I was told DL stayed up with him til midnight to comfort him during the storms. I so loved the pictures they sent.”

About: I have had high-energy dogs my entire life, however I appreciate dogs of all kinds. I can't wait to meet your dog and give them a home away from home while you're away. I work from home so I have plenty of time to help care for your dog. I also have a 1 year old female vizsla who is the sweetest girl and loves to play with other dogs. She will love to have the company. I reside in an apartment and will be happy to watch your dog while you're away. I work from home which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to your dog.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Robins
What a great experience! Kat made Earl’s stay so wonderful…so much so that I don’t think he really wanted to come home! Earl has readjusted to being back at home though and he is looking happy and even younger than when he went…Kat provided him lots of playtime and lap time… my 14 year old cat, Earl had a wonderful time! Thanks so much, Kat!

I can't recommend Olivia enough! We were in town for a graduation and our Airbnb didn't allow pets. I needed to secure a boarding place for my little maltipoo ASAP. Olivia accommodated my schedule and need so well. I appreciated her taking my last minute request and keeping me updated with pictures/videos. My furbaby had a great time and my mind was at ease. You can count on Olivia!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
