“Makenna is always so reliable and wonderful to our fur babies. Thank you for being so flexible around our schedules and we love your detailed updates while we are stuck at work.”

“Great to have a dependable and caring person watch our cats while we play in the sun on the beach. Appreciate the pictures and checking in with us. Thanks for taking great care of our fur babies, Shelley!”

About: I’ve always grown up with at least one dog in the house. my parents adopted a dog when I was 8 and I’ve helped take care of him ever since. I also had many neighbors who would often ask me to take care of their dog or cat while they were out of town. I had worked at a dog daycare/boarding facility for about 2 years. I currently work at Homegoods, about 32 hours a week. I am off wednsdays and weekends. I work 10-6 the other days, and am able to do mid day drop ins when needed. I follow what the pet wants to do. If they are full of energy, I will play with them or take them for a walk. If they want to lay around and be lazy, then that’s what we’ll do. If it’s just potty breaks, I’ll let them out for a good 10-20 minutes, if it’s nice enough outside. Along with some good scratches before I leave.

About: I have had and taken care of dogs for my entire life! I love every size and breed, and appreciate the differences between each animal. I have raised young pups/kittens and taken care of 13+ year old dogs/cats. I also have experience with dogs and cats that are not spayed or neutered. I grew up with four dogs and three cats all under one roof, so I have no problem taking care of multiple fur babies at once. I have a part-time job as a pool manager that gives me ample time between shifts. I am totally willing to take some time to visit your furry friend during the day! My shifts are at different times each day, but there is always room in my schedule to take an hour or two to visit your furry friend! My fiance, Jake, works second shift, so if there are any conflicts in my morning schedule, he is always available to help out. I have two friendly cats that were raised with dogs and other cats. They mostly keep to themselves but love to socialize with other animals. I will treat each animal like my own!
“Amanda was great! I don’t have much experience with Rover but she had knowledge of how everything works and was able to advise me when it was necessary. She was so great with my cats I felt really comfortable leaving them in her care. She also went the extra mile in making sure my space was clean and cared for. Thanks Amanda!!”

“Margaret is the best!! She took time to meet us prior to doing her scheduled drop ins and learned everything that we requested to be done during her time with our golden retriever Goose. She’s been absolutely wonderful with helping us continue his training during the drop ins, playing and loving on our boy. Excellent communication, highly recommend her!”

“Ashleigh is an absolute delight! I Invited her into my home and put her in charge of Missy's care with all the confidence that Ashleigh will take great care of both. She is positive, delightful, caring, kind and considerate. I trust her with my most precious things! Thank you, Ashleigh.”

“Alexia did such a wonderful job with the daily drop in walks with my pup. She sent pictures and updates and I can tell she really cares about the animals she cares for. I would highly recommend her to anyone”

“It was great to have Sydney care for our cat while we were out of town! She was professional and prompt with her communication, forward thinking, and showed true care for our cat. We enjoyed seeing the daily pictures she sent. Sydney was even willing to bring in a package that arrived at our house while we were out of town! We will definitely look to have Sydney care for our cat again the next time we go out of town!”

“We could not have asked for a better pet sitter for Walter while we were away. Megan went above and beyond during every drop-in visit to make Walter and us feel comfortable. She made sure he was fed and cared for and also gave him genuine attention, playtime, and affection. We received thoughtful updates and photos that gave us so much peace of mind on vacation. It was obvious how much she truly cares about animals, and Walter absolutely adored her. We will absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!”

About: I have lots of puppy care experience, and I know how to take care of all types of breeds. I will make sure your animals are loved and treated like family! I work pretty much full time at a dog boarding/daycare facility, so I know how to take care of animals very well! I work every day except Saturday and Sunday, my shifts are usually no longer than 6 hours. I live in an apartment with lots of space, so I can accommodate a lot of different animals. Also a huge outside area where they can do their business and play!

“I will definitely request Mira's help again - this was our first Rover experience, and she was a blessing. She went above and beyond by dropping by to meet Sam ahead of time so he wouldn't view her as an intruder. He's 90 pounds and we're still working on his puppy manners (like jumping and the occasional body slam), and she was competent and professional in taking him on. Mira dropped by twice as requested, took him for a walk, and sent plenty of photos so we could see he was having the best time with her. Highly recommend! Thank you, Mira!”

Madison is attentive, communicative, reliable, and such a delight to work with! An old nervous rescue is not everyone's cup of tea, but she never fails to make us feel like our dog is in great hands. She is not just patient and accommodating, but warm and understanding with our pup.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
