I've been surrounded by dogs my entire life and truly can't imagine a home without them. My passion for caring for animals led me to start pet sitting during the COVID pandemic, and what began as a way to help friends and neighbors quickly grew into something I absolutely loved. Over the years, I've cared for pets with all kinds of personalities, needs, and routines. My experience includes overnight boarding, long-term stays, doggy daycare, drop-in visits, daily walks, grooming and bathing, and caring for recurring clients who became like family. I'm also comfortable administering medications and following any special instructions needed to keep your pet happy, healthy, and comfortable. A few years ago, I stepped away from pet sitting to focus on one of my children's health needs. Now that life has settled down, I've been excited to return to something I've genuinely missed—spending time with animals and helping pet owners have peace of mind while they're away. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. Whether your dog loves long walks, endless fetch sessions, cozy couch cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'll make sure they receive the same love, attention, and care that I would give my own pets. I believe communication is key, so you can expect plenty of updates, photos, and check-ins while your pet is in my care. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! ❤️🐶

Although she was nice, she never once texted me on her own (I had to initiate every request for an update) and I received ZERO pictures of my dog, despite asking in-person for picture updates throughout the week. The lack of communication made me uncomfortable to leave my dog with her again. It is scary to leave your dog with a stranger, and I prefer a dog sitter who realizes this and is as communicative as possible to alleviate any concern or anxiety.
Obie was well taken care of and he seemed to have a good time, I say Aurora has a great understanding of animal handling. She took him on short notice, I would recommend her expertise to anyone who asks.
Aurora is so sweet and took amazing care of my puppy while I was at work. He can be a handful! Definitely recommend her services :)

Aurora is amazing! Very accommodating and responsive. My pups were in great hands and came home healthy, happy and exhausted. Definitely recommend and will contact again when I’m in the area.

I just moved back up to cedar rapids and I am currently a PRN CNA where i choose the hours i would like to work and i also am a Wedding Coodinator on some weekends out of the year. My schedule is very open and flexible to whatever your needs are!

I do live in a house now and while i dont have a fenced in yard, I live in a community where its safe to walk around and there are plenty of dog parks near by!
A typical day
Im outside a lot during summer with my kiddos, we take walks, we go see near and distant family all of which are very family friendly. We love to go fish at any of the rivers or lakes nearby and we also take our family's camper and go camping to. I will always confirm and share my planned schedule for any activities I have planned and make sure it's okay with the pets' parents!

- I really like to stick to any daily schedule they have and also any specific rules they enforce at home, so I know to enforce them with me as well. Any helpful tips and tricks just to make their stay/time with me helpful. Also just want to add again, i do have two kiddos who absolutely love animals.
