“AMAZING! Claudia is an experienced, conscientious, and caring Rover. I wish I met Claudia years ago. She really took time to get to know my cat, Squeaks, and make her feel at home. Claudia understands cats. She recognizes and accepts a cat's unique personality. As she got to know Squeaks, Claudia adapted her caregiving for Squeaks' comfort - even when Squeaks awakened Claudia at 4AM for attention! I know this because Claudia is also a great communicator. This was very important to me because it was the first time I left Squeaks with anyone. My older cat had recently died and I was unsure how Squeaks would react to being alone in a new environment for three weeks. Claudia sent tons of cute pictures and care updates. The frequent messages were comforting. Claudia understood that I was on an unpredictable work assignment, so I couldn't always respond. In spite of this, Claudia kept the positive updates coming. It was heartwarming to check in at the end of the day and see how well Squeaks was doing. I was reassured that Claudia was caring for Squeaks as if she were her own fur baby. As a first-time Rover customer, I was pleasantly surprised by several other things Claudia did. Before accepting Squeaks into her care, Claudia asked multiple questions about Squeaks' background, health, and personality. This not only was beneficial for Squeaks, but also protective of other pets in Claudia's care. Conversely, the questions gave me confidence that any pet in Claudia's home while Squeaks was there would also be safe for Squeaks. Another pleasant surprise was that Claudia adapted her schedule to accept Squeaks a day earlier than planned when I was asked to report for work as soon as possible. My experience with Claudia was MUCH better than my previous experiences with local cat hotels. Claudia truly cared for my pet as her own. She understood my anxiety about entrusting Squeaks with a "stranger". Although all our messages were professional and centered around Squeaks, by the time I picked Squeaks up, Claudia felt like a trusted friend who was caring for my cat. About: Aloha! I’m Nea, a born-and-raised Kaua‘i girl now living in Honolulu near Ala Moana. I’ve grown up around and owned animals my whole life—horses, chickens, bunnies, birds, cats, and of course, dogs—and I’m truly an all-around animal lover! I get so much joy out of spending time with animals and helping care for others’ furry friends. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a senior needing a little extra TLC, or a quirky dog with specific routines, I genuinely love getting to know each one’s unique personality. I’ve raised and owned Border Collies and Australian Shepherds (you can see my parents dog, Tucker, a blonde collie, featured in a number of my photos), so I’m especially comfortable with high-energy breeds. However, I’ve worked with dogs of all types and temperaments. I’ve been a dog walker and sitter throughout high school and college, and through Rover for several years while living in NYC and back on Kaua‘i—so in total, I’ve been doing this as a side gig for about 15 years now. I’ve cared for everything from a tiny Chihuahua named Lolo to a 180lb Great Dane named Pebbles to a reactive hound named George who only did night walks. No matter the service (walks, drop-ins, etc), I treat every pet I work with like part of my family and love making their day brighter (and yours a little easier). My husband and I lost our beloved dog Logan last year due to cancer and, while we aren’t quite ready to welcome another pup into our home full-time, we’ve both gotten so much fulfillment from helping out other pet parents. I work from home as an education policy consultant, and I’m very lucky that my job offers a lot of flexibility and autonomy in scheduling. My workday typically starts early since my team is based on the mainland, which means I often wrap up by lunchtime and have plenty of time to spend with pups. Even during working hours, I can usually shift meetings or build in breaks to fit in a walk or drop-in visit. Overall, I’m able to accommodate most pet care routines. Whether it’s a quick morning walk, a lunchtime drop-in, or a longer afternoon outing for an energetic pup, I’m happy to tailor care to whatever works best for your dog! Weekends are also often wide open, and I’m more than happy to take clients then as well. At the moment, I’m unable to offer overnights or boarding in my home, but I do provide walks, drop-in visits, and in-your-home sitting throughout Honolulu. When I’m caring for your pup—whether I’m stopping by for a quick visit or staying for longer—you can count on me to treat your space with the same respect and care I would my own. I make it a point to send regular, thorough updates and plenty of photos throughout my time with your pet. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave your furry friend with someone else, and I want to ease that as much as possible for my clients by keeping you informed and connected every step of the way! I’m dependable, communicative, and focused on making sure both you and your pet feel comfortable and at ease. I keep routines consistent, follow your instructions closely, and am always prepared to respond quickly if something unexpected comes up.

About: Born & raised around dogs and cats. I understand how important they are & how they’re family more than anything. I’ve taken care of dogs from German Shepard’s to Labradors to Miniature Poodles etc. I’ve taken care of older dogs who need to take medicine and younger dogs who need to be house trained. Seen it all! I go on walks throughout the day & make sure food & water & temperature is all good. I work very close to home, so I am able to come home for lunch if necessary. Activity outside is just as important for animals as it is for humans. I live close to a fenced dog park & take toys with me for playtime!!

About: I have had family pets all my life. I have had several dogs and cats, and I've also cared for snakes and bearded dragons and fish. I love all animals. I currently have two male cats that are well taken care of and loved deeply. They are both neutered. I once rescued a stray, injured, malnourished Border Collie from the side of the road. I trained him, fed him, loved him, and helped him heal before finding him a loving home. I don't work too often so I have a lot of free time for pet care. It brings me joy to be around animals. In my opinion, they are better company than people sometimes. I fill my cats with love and joy every single day. I am happy to do the same with any and all other animals. I assure you your pets will be well taken care of. I have a passion for animals and adore every animal I see, no matter the type or the breed or the size. I adore cats and dogs, can't pick a favorite. I am so excited to meet new puppies and kitties 😍 your dogs will be let out often, pets will be played with constantly and fed according to your rules.
