“Mariah was great to have, we had her watching our dog for 2 weeks, she was great at communicating with us and we never had to worry about our dog. We knew he was in great hands!”

“Jacqueline was great with my dog! She’s the first dog sitter I’ve left him with, and even took him out to a park. He’s been worn out on the floor since I returned a few hours ago, lol.”

“Aaliyah was fantastic! She stayed at our residence while we were on vacation. This was a last minute request from us on Rover. We were gone for 6 days. She took good care of our dogs. We asked her if she could stay until we got home Sunday, and without hesitation, she said yes. She left no messes in our home. We will definitely use her again.”

“Raven was so good to Iris and Apollo! She was very attentive and would send pictures of them daily. She left our house spotless as well and was very respectful of our house. We will definitely be utilizing her again!”

“Lauren was amazing! She took such great care of my dog while I was away and was very attentive throughout the entire stay. I really appreciated all the photos and updates she sent—it gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was happy and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter, and I will definitely book with her again!”

“I will be using Aiden again! Roxy was happy when we got home. House looked great. He kept our plants alive and our outside birds feed as well. He sent us some pictures too. He did a fabulous job!”

“We were out on an extended trip, and Ellen did an amazing job with our pups! She was very responsive to messages and sent lots of pictures. She left our house tidy and our dogs seemed to love her! Will definitely book again!”

“Anna is exceptional. Anna is very easy to talk to and extremely professional in the way she handled anything that arose. She had such a long stay with our animals while we were away and was on top of communication, daily routines, etc. I cannot stress how much we appreciate and how good it feels to have someone we trust with our pets while we're away. She also did a great job with random tasks that needed to be taken care of around the house such as taking trash out, medicating fish tanks, etc. I'd recommend her over and over again to anybody who needs somebody to stay with their pets!”

“Felicity did a wonderful job! I genuinely felt like she cared for my pets as if they were own and she sent me so many pictures !! I will definitely utilize her in the future and I hope others do too ! 🥰”

“Brooklyn is wonderful. A perfect 10 out of 10. I have two large high energy working dogs who are used to daily activity. These types of dogs are not for everybody, even experienced dog owners can be challenged. They are not aggressive at all, nor passive dogs. A couple of other sitters I talked to said they'll pass. Most likely because they've been looking to tiny, easy dogs to care for. Brooklyn connected with my pups immediately. They seemed happy and relaxed. She is up to the task and then some. My dogs are on raw meat diet with many added natural supplements, another challenge for most dog owners. Brooklyn handled the meals very well. She's been very clean and organized. I know whom I'll ask to watch next time.”

“Niki was an absolutely amazing sitter for our fur babies. We were in Europe for two weeks and she sent updates daily along with pictures. Our pups were literally sad to see her go when we got back! We recommend her highly and will have her back for any future trips we take.”

“Taylor did a great job taking care of our girl while we were out of town for the weekend. She had great communication and sent pictures and updates. Would definitely recommend her!”

“I LOVED having Cyndrina take care of my doggo. She made the whole process so smooth, even after I had to change plans pretty last minute. Will totally trust her w my doggo again:)”
About: I love both cats and dogs alike, I have one of each of my own. Just moved to the area wanting to help any pet parents that need a break or a little vacation. A pet fits perfectly in my daily routine as I like to stay active and constantly go on walks. I am a part time barista with shifts no longer than 5 hours! I will follow all instructions to a T to ensure that your pet is properly cared for. I understand that different owners want different things for their pets and am flexible enough to ensure that both my clients and I are happy.

Rebecca is a great sitter has been a very reliable for my 2 senior dogs. Great sitter! She takes wonderful care of them and keeps me updated while I’m away without over communicating. I always come home to relaxed, happy dogs and use Rebecca any time I have to be out of town! I would definitely recommend her.

Sandy was amazing with our 2 fur babies and we are so grateful that she was able to help us for a last minute change in travel plans. She is prompt, professional and an exceptional communicator. We will definitely consider her for any upcoming dog sitting needs!!

We couldn't be happier with Hailie! She house-sat for our dog and made the whole experience stress-free from start to finish. Her communication was excellent — she kept us updated throughout our time away, which gave us such peace of mind. It was clear our pup was in great hands. We'd highly recommend Hailie to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter!

Carina was amazing :) I’m super anxious and don’t trust many people with my pups, but she watched our 10 week old frenchie for 5 days and was super flexible when we had to extend the stay last minute. She brought all her own stuff and stayed with our pup the whole time. Very clean and our pup will miss her! Sent many photos and videos which we loved! She left brand new toys for him when we got home as well. Would absolutely have her back!!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Henderson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Henderson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Henderson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
