A typical day
I believe enrichment is essential to keeping pets happy and healthy. For dogs, I love incorporating activities like walks, games of fetch, tug-of-war, or exploring new trails to stimulate their senses. If they enjoy it, we might also try puzzle toys or training games to keep their minds engaged. For cats, I focus on interactive play using toys like feather wands, laser pointers, or small balls. I also provide cozy spaces for them to relax and offer gentle affection if they’re social. My goal is to ensure every pet has a fun and fulfilling experience tailored to their personality and preferences.

Hello, My name is Lex, and I was born and raised in Colorado. I studied Human Services and now work for a nonprofit animal assisted counseling center. Animals have always been a huge passion of mine. I’ve worked in veterinary clinics, animal boarding facilities, as well as doggy daycares, and I honestly couldn’t imagine my daily life without them. I’ve been pet sitting for over 13 years and currently offer pet sitting, dog walking, and drop in visits. I’m comfortable caring for animals of all sizes, from rats to horses. I also enjoy working with all temperaments, from outgoing critters to those who need a little time to warm up. I understand the importance of meeting each animal where they’re at, and I truly value the unique personality and needs of every pet. I always treat them with the same love and care as I would my own. My schedule is flexible, I’m available after 3 p.m. on weekdays and have weekends open.
