“Very flexible sitter, was able to walk my dogs with a days notice which saved my husband and I! Our dogs are shy and she did her best to warm up to them. I appreciate sitters that care like this one. Thanks a lot!”

“Sarah is the absolute best always will my boy. She always sends me the cutest pictures along with giving detailed descriptions of how things are going. You’re amazing Sarah :)”

“On top of being extremely reliable and punctual, Rebecca is the most AMAZING person!! Her connection with my dogs is remarkable, a genuine, mutually-respectful bond. She has such a positive relationship with each of them. They sense her beautiful energy and give back their own forms of affection. Can’t say enough about how great Rebecca is…15/10 recommend!!! Love you, Rebecca - Georgie & Evie”

“I first contacted Amirah when my Pit mix underwent back to back major surgeries that left him housebound for several months. We needed help with med administration and potty breaks. Amirah proved herself remarkably reliable, competent, knowledgeable and, above all else, compassionate. She has treated my dog with genuine affection and as he heals I will continue to use Amirah his rehab needs. ( and maybe soon a fun walk in the park and squirrel intimidation!) I am grateful to Amirah for the peace of mind she has afforded me during this rough time. I would unhesitantly recommend her services.”

“Laine loves dogs and is very punctual, conscientious, informative and helpful with behavior issues. She knows about dog personalities and gives great feedback about Zelda. Laine cares that Zelda has the best of care and companionship she can give. They go far in 30 minutes!”

About: Hello!! My name is Monica, and I grew up around animals of all kinds! Dogs and cats have been a part of my life since the day I was born, and throughout the years I’ve found myself growing closer to these furry family members. I grew up on a ranch with horses, chickens, ducks, etc…and animal welfare has, and will always be, my number one priority. I’ve gained a lot of experience through my friends and family, who have trusted me with their pet to watch, sometimes just for a night out, and other times, for months. I am very experienced working with animal medication, and can ensure your pets needs are properly met. I’ve also worked with many animals (mostly dogs and cats) who may suffer from anxiety and/or behavioral issues. Navigating your pets needs can be difficult but I’m here to help! Please feel free to reach out to me with any and all questions. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend!! I currently work overnights at a part time position so I’ll be available to care for your furry friends throughout the week. Additionally, I also go to school full time, however, I don’t have classes until noon and get done at 4pm, leaving plenty of time before and after for pet care. I’m a very strict rule follower, and will never do anything to put your pet in danger. Your house-your rules, and I follow that deeply.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Jadynn! This was our first time using her and she truly went above and beyond to take care of our dog, Piper. Her communication was fantastic…she sent plenty of updates, including pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Unexpectedly, our power went out during our trip, and she made sure to inform us as soon as she noticed and checked that Piper was safe and comfortable. She was incredibly thorough in her care, always keeping an eye on Piper’s well-being and quickly letting us know if anything seemed off. It’s clear she genuinely cares for the dogs she watches. We will absolutely be booking with her again! Highly recommend!”

“Alex is wonderful. Great at communication, takes both of our dogs out, and is flexible. One of our dogs is an older lady and the other is a young and hyper. We have border collies and Alex takes care of them so well.”

“Cailey did an excellent job with the dogs! I accidentally gave her the wrong address too and she was able to figure that out and handle the situation perfectly. Highly recommend!”

About: I have trained my own dog from a puppy. I have house trained and worked with other dogs that I have taken in. I also have experience with senior dogs. I understand that each dog is unique and needs to be cared for in their own special way. I work full time but have a flexible schedule. I am able to work from home multiple days a week as well as work with my work schedule to do house visits. I plan my schedule a week in advance to be able to prioritize appointments. I am extremely reliable and calendar driven. My dog is my life. I do everything possible to make sure that she is taking care of and the other animals in my house are as well. I know that a lot of animal owners feel the same about their babies and I carry that sentiment over when taking care of them.

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because caring for animals has already been a big part of my life for years. I currently work full time and have experience working at a dog daycare, along with caring for my own 4 dogs every day. My goal is to eventually make pet sitting my full-time career, so I’m dedicated to building strong relationships with both pets and owners while providing reliable, loving care I care for pets in their own home by keeping them comfortable and sticking to their normal routine as closely as possible. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise, attention, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of love while their owners are away. I also keep the home clean and make sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for in their familiar environment

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
