I have an eight year old Border Collie who loves going to the park and chasing her frisbee. She’s very active and that’s a huge part of our every day routine.

I look forward to meeting your wonderful pets and becoming their favorite substitute parent while you are away! Pet care fits seamlessly into my weekly routine. I am also available for early morning or evening drop-ins, walks, and cage/habitat care. I treat your home like a sanctuary. “Erin is the best dog walker we could have asked for! She is patient and kind! Our little Beau Beau is curious about every little thing and she took her time to let him sniff and check things out. Our German Shepherd Charlie is not sure of other dogs so Erin made sure to comfort Charlie when other dogs were present on the walk. She sent some awesome pictures too so that we knew just how much fun our pups had! I will definitely be hiring her again in the future for my dog walking needs!”
“Kay was AMAZING!!! Her hours were flexible with ours and she got along with our dogs GREAT! We were worried because our dogs can be high anxiety however Kay fit right in with them and they trusted her very easily. She kept us updated with how they were doing and sent us lots of pictures. I could tell right away that she was trustworthy and would treat our doggies like her own. I would definitely hire her again and it was a great experience.”

“Amy is the best! She is extremely reliable, even in inclimate weather. I felt very comfortable having her in my home when we were gone. Our dog loved her and would wait by the door at walk time. Not only that, Amy is very personable and easy to get along with - super sweet! I would highly recommend her.”

“Jon is super accommodating! He came over and met Opie right away so we knew if it would work out . He sends refreshing update pictures to ease being away from your baby! We are so thankful to have someone able to walk Opie at the needed times :) thanks Jon!”
“We love Mariah! She walked my pup during my travel nursing contract in Denver and took great care of her! She always provided thorough updates and lots of photos/videos.”

About: My name is Kim and I have three amazing animals that I love! Sora is a 6 year old tortie cat who loves to eat and play, Milo is a 5 year old standard poodle, who is a snuggle bug and Gene is my 3 year old baby who is also a standard poodle. I know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your animals in a stranger’s care and I want to reassure all families that your pet’s care is all I care about. I will give your pets the love they need while you are away from home. I can take care of any feeding schedules or medications needed. I will be sure to give them all the playtime that I can while visiting and make sure they’re barking for more when it’s time for me to leave! I look forward to helping! I work from home with a very flexible schedule and can visit morning, afternoon and night. (Morning visits start as early as 9:30 AM and night visits go as late as 9 PM) Please be sure to give instructions on how you would like your visits to go. Please keep in mind that because of my sporadic work schedule, I cannot commit to reoccurring weekly visits. I am more than happy to hang out with your pup or kitty. I love walks in the neighborhood and can feed and play at home. If we are unable to plan a meet and greet, I will bring my husband with me to visits. Thank you for understanding!

“Kendra is a wonderful dog sitter! She is very communicative and detail oriented. You can tell she truly cares about the dogs and does everything to ensure they are healthy and happy.”

“I am so glad I found Cassidy! I work long hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so my poor pup was usually home for 11hrs or so on those days. I felt terrible. My boss recommended Rover and I landed on Cassidy after doing some searching. She is so good with my pup and plays with her plenty on days when it’s too hot out for a long walk. I always get pictures from the walk/play time and I swear some of the best pics of my pup have come from Cassidy. She’s fantastic, reliable, and I would recommend her to anyone needing a dog walker 😊”

About: I have a pet cat of my own, and have been pet sitting for family and friends for about 5 years. I love going for walks and runs, and it is so much more fun to have a furry friend join me! I am a grad student with a few weeks off for the summer, so I have an extremely flexible schedule and lots of availability. I can adapt to your needs for care! I am happy to fulfill any needs for your pet. I love taking animals for walks/runs that match their activity levels. I am also happy to provide any other services such as feeding, giving water, playing, etc.
“Elisha was wonderful to come over at the last minute and help with my fur babies! She was prompt, kind and just overall fantastic with my senior and puppy who recently had surgery. Thanks for going above and beyond for us; will definitely use her services in the future!”
About: Hello! My name is Sianna and I’m 24. I grew up always having a dog in the household, and loving to help take care of others dogs and pets as well. I have almost 6yr old black Labrador Retriever, a big baby who turned out to be the smartest loving boy! I love to help teach to train, as it took my puppy a week to potty train, 3 days to learn sit, 3 days to learn to lay down, 1 week to learn to sit and wait to eat, and 3 days to learn shake and “knuckles”! So any puppy who is not potty trained is welcomed. I am very patient with over excited dogs, and dogs who get overstimulated (as mine does at times), so if this applies to your baby I will be sure they will be well taken care of through that process! I am a healthcare worker in a morning clinic, I work from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Friday, and my days after are always open and free. and what’s better then getting to spend time with some extra doggies throughout my days! .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
“My dogs and I all really enjoyed Ezra, and he was very kind. Everyone has to pass old man Bears bro of approval and he did that and was instantly accepted into the dog pack. Thank you Ezra!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sherrelwood
Ellen is wonderful and I have had a wonderful experience working with her to take care of my dog, Remington. She is very communicative from start to finish and I appreciate how reliable and thoughtful she is. It is clear that Remi is well cared for, happy, and comfortable with Ellen.

Angela was great! She was very timely, communicated well, and was flexible when we needed to change our schedule. I really appreciate the attention she gave our dogs. I felt very safe with her in our house and I would definatly recommend her and will be using her again for myself!

I highly recommend Olivia as a dog walker! She walked my dog, Marley, and did a fabulous job. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Marley was comfortable and happy. Marley came back relaxed and well exercised. She was punctual, attentive, and treated Marley like her own pet. It’s clear that she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. I felt completely at ease knowing Marley was in such good hands. I would absolutely trust her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog walker.

Ricardo was amazing with my sweet boy Charlie. The intro was super easy and they were quickly off on their 1 hour adventure before we knew it. Ricardo saved the day by accepting my last minute request and was very flexible with the meeting location. I will definitely request his assistance in the future. He was AWESOME!!!

Grace has been so kind and accommodating with our little Luna! Even on days when our 11-year-old pup isn’t quite up for a walk, Grace still takes the time to bring her outside to a shady spot in the grass so she can enjoy some fresh air and the beautiful weather. We truly appreciate the extra care and attention she gives Luna

Evan is great! Even when our pup was a bit hesitant at first & we were all lost trying to figure out a new schedule , Evan was patient & kind. Our schedule can be so hectic at times & Evan is great at communicating availability & checking in to make sure Harvey is going to be taken care of around those times. Harvey warmed up rather quickly & you can tell he misses Evan on the days he’s not around. Thank you Evan! Grateful to have you 💖

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
