About: I have lived with dogs starting at age 13 and been a part of raising 3 dogs in all the time since then. I pay special attention to a dog’s needs, having participated in both puppy training and frequent monitoring and potty breaks/clean up for senior dogs. I go as far as picking a dog up off the ground if no paw slips are available during sweltering conditions! My dog experience has been within the 40-70 pound range, but I can only walk a dog up to 40 pounds (unless the large dog is off-leash trained/VERY focused on their walker and doesn’t pull). Playtime is something I value in providing dogs as a form of both physical exercise and mental enrichment. I provide updates and pictures to both showcase my accountability/standards and give an owner peace of mind while their pets are under my supervision. I follow any instructions and preferences provided by an owner very closely, making sure to review them before service is provided. The trust of an owner and their pet(s) are of utmost importance to me to respect and earn. I am very excited to work with more owners and animals! Thank you for reading! My dog sleeps in my room with me, so I typically wake up early to let her outside to use the bathroom. Then, we socialize with family, and we give her treats throughout the day. She loves chasing a ball in our woodsy backyard, so I make sure to do that with her until she’s panting and thoroughly spent. She eats one bowl a day in the evening with either dried nutritional supplement or leftover dinner from a previous night (she’s spoiled!). Plenty of opportunities to go out to use the bathroom, especially before bedtime. Lots of snuggles. She currently has a lot of my time and attention as I seek full-time work, but I always make sure to let her use the bathroom before I would normally go to work. This kind of intimate care where I spend a great amount of quality time with my dog is how I like to be with pets that are in my care. Frequent check-ins as needed, if not spending a great deal of time together so the pet doesn’t feel lonely in the owner’s absence! Routine is essential for animals, and I try to keep a consistent one with my dog. Routine and consistency will absolutely be kept for any animals in my care. Punctuality and reliability are very important to me— as well as pets!
“Maria was excellent with our dogs! We will use her in the future and we will recommend her to other friends and family. She provided dropping service that exceeded our needs. Thank you!!”

“Dionne was great with our cat Monkey! We told her he loves to be walked on a harness but said she didn’t have to do that and she ended up walking him every day which I know he absolutely loved! Good communication, went above and beyond, and our shy cat even came out to say hi to her which is a very rare event. They seemed happy and healthy went we got home and everything looked good.”

“Ashlyn was easy to communicate with during the booking process. During our meet and greet, our puppy felt comfortable immediately! She dropped into our house 3 scheduled times over two days and it was so helpful for us and our pup. I would hire Ashlyn again in the future!”

About: My involvement with animals has been my whole life, but it truly started with my mom who is a former breeder. I learned so much from my mom and have had so much involvement with dogs ranging big and small in size and personality. Theres many high-tense situations that have built my experience and rationality for anything. I am willing to accommodate to any special need your pet may need as I know some need more patience than others. I have my own pets as well and have trained them myself. I have a large loving doodle and a feisty cat. I'm currently a student aiming to be a veterinary technician who can give the best possible care to peoples pets. I am currently working part time as a freelancer. This gives me the liberty to take as much time needed for any pet needs. I can drop by or stay by their side full time. As I do have my own dog so I would need to check on him daily. When caring for pets, I prioritize: * Consistent feeding schedules * Fresh water and clean bowls/litter areas * Safe walks and supervised play * Medication instructions if needed * Patience with shy, anxious, senior, or high-energy animals * Regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured
“Abigail was absolutely wonderful with our cats. She took the time to make sure they were truly well cared for and went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable , even our shy kitty warmed up to her. She did us a huge favor by accepting a last-minute booking, which we were so grateful for. Her communication was excellent from start to finish. She kept us updated, was responsive, and clearly cares about the animals she looks after. She’s incredibly friendly, responsible, and genuinely kind. We would absolutely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. She’s the best!”

“Rebecca is extremely responsive and reliable. Our puppy is very nervous and sceptical of new people. Rebecca week after week worked hard to foster a loving relationship with our dog. He is now so comfortable with her and it’s a huge relief! We always get fun videos and pictures while Rebecca is with our dog which I love!”
“Great job, Ariel! Ariel was prompt, friendly, and absolutely went above and beyond to make my senior fur baby feel safe and loved. She communicated well with me by text and photos so that I felt comfortable being away. I strongly recommend Ariel to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy person to care for their fur baby. Thank you, Ariel.”
“Eric helped me out at last minute when my other sitter was a no show. He was wonderful at communicating with me and sending pictures. Will definitely be using him next time. Thank again!”

About: We are a family of three and we will take great care of your dog. We live in a very nice, small subdivision. Our daughter is in school, my wife works in a school system and I work from home. We are a very friendly family and would do an incredible job watching after your dog and also make sure they have a great, fun experience during their visit. About this sitter: I work from home and will be able to provide special attention to your pet. There are no other animals that live in the house. Why I love dog sitting I have been around dogs since I was a child, and have owned two dogs. I have also been responsible as a host for watching dogs for extended period of times. The longest I have been a sitter for one dog is 30 days. Typically I have been a host for 2-3 weeks at a time. About my yard We have a decent size backyard, flat surface. No fence. We don't keep any doors open in the house and for all walks the dog will be on a leash. We have not had any incidents with a dog running out the house or getting off the leash to date.
About: I’ve had a dog my whole life, from puppies to old ages. From walking to feeding and any other care needed I’ve done it all. My schedule is very flexible and while I don’t necessarily work form home, I have the ability of coming home at any time. If I take longer at work my husband usually comes home before me to care for the pups. I have a big fenced in yard which your pets will love. We have 3 dogs all of different ages that will keep your pet company

“Brandon did a great job taking care of my five pups. He followed the instructions that we gave, which we really appreciate! The pups took a liking to him, which made us feel a lot more comfortable and secure with our first time hiring a sitter. As a pet sitter myself, I am very pleased with his timely manner and that he remembered all of the details and lived up to my expectations (my exceptions are typically high). Not only did our pups take a liking to him, but his friendly and welcoming personality put me and my fiancés worries at ease. Thanks again, Brandon. I plan to hire him again the next time we need a sitter.”

Cristina was fantastic caring for our cats while we were away. She communicated with us and sent pictures after each visit, which gave us great peace of mind. It was such a relief knowing they were well cared for while we were gone. I will definitely be reaching out to Cristina again for our future pet care needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and attentive pet care.
Aaliya was the greatest petsitter we could have asked for to take care of our fur kids. She was very thorough with questions ahead of our departure and took great care of our two cats while we were gone. She was extremely responsive and sent us updates each day. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trusted sitter!

Yasiry is a great sitter. When I reached out through Rover she responded immediately and came by for the interview. She was perfect for my elderly kitty, Raven. She was able to administer his oral medication and sent me pictures every day. We will use Yasiry in the future.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grayson. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
