“I was so nervous leaving our fur babies, for the first time, but Gracie from Rover was a lifesaver. She took the time to meet and greet ahead of time and took notice or their personalities and needs, and sent visit updates with photos/videos and playtime. It was so reassuring to see them warm up to her and look happy and relaxed. Gracie was also incredibly responsive and professional, making the booking process easy and stress-free. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing a truly caring and trustworthy sitter for their beloved pet!”

“Abby is professional, responsive, and really loves animals. I am so glad we found her on Rover. She cared for our two aging dogs and made sure they were safe and fed while we were out of town. I recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Kasey was a great and communicative catsitter. She came in for around 10 visits on two different occasions, and each visit sent updates, photos, and videos. We felt relieved to know that our cat was in good hands!”

“Maria was excellent with our dogs! We will use her in the future and we will recommend her to other friends and family. She provided dropping service that exceeded our needs. Thank you!!”

“I can’t recommend them enough! They were reliable, professional, and treated my dog like one of their own. Communication was excellent, with regular updates and photos that gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog is always excited to see them. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog walker, this is the one!”

About: I've had cats my entire life and dogs for the last 15 years. Currently I have 6 cats and 2 dogs. I have a way of getting chosen by animals lol. We have many strays in our neighborhood and the cat distribution system seems to know I won't let them die lol. I have bottle fed many, including 4 of the six I currently own. I had a third dog but he sadly crossed the rainbow bridge in March after 14 loving years. My dogs need medication daily and I have no problem giving it to them. These experiences will only help me to take care of your fur family to the best of my ability! I am an entrepreneur currently as I was laid off from my 9-5 in December after 12 years. My schedule is open and generally free. Occasionally I am unavailable from Sat -Tues but that's something I know well in advance. I have my own transportation and don't mind animals in my car. I will care for any pet as if it's my own. Spoiled and loved. Care will be inevitably determined by the pet parent and the animals specific needs.
“Highly recommend! We use Nicole for regular drop in visits and she is wonderful! Always prompt, very accommodating and flexible, professional, and of course great with my pup!”

“Julia did a fantastic job of taking care of my 2 wild dogs while I was gone! I loved getting the updates and the cute pics of them during her visits. They were in good hands. I would absolutely recommend her and book her again!”

“Ashley is absolutely amazing! We’ve never hired any kind of dog-sitter, and Ashley has made us so comfortable. She loved our dogs like her own! She listened to every step and sent us the cutest pictures while we were away. We will be using her for drop-ins from now on!”

“Ashlyn was fantastic with our fur babies. She made sure they were well taken care of, gave our diabetes cat his medicine and made sure all was well. I will be hiring her in the future. Thank you so much for your services!!!”

“Cheyenne updated me on everything about both my animals and took care of them exactly how I wanted. To what I had seen in pictures my animals absolutely loved her and ended up becoming extremely comfortable with her!”

“Kelly was great with our FOUR dogs and at a.last moments notice! She was a lifeaver for our change of holiday plans and to attend my son's graduation. She sent photos and kept us updated on each of her visits. Recommended and we will.use her again! Thanks Kelly!!”

About: I love animals since I was a kid and I’ve always grown up with them! As a young student and hard-worker I haven't had time to adopt a baby as my own to give them all the attention in the world, but with school slowing down I have the time to get back into spending time with animals 🥺. I’ve baby sat animals over the years for friends and family, I’ve had cats and dogs and kitties, good at walking and taking care of them! I’m a part-time server and taking classes online this summer so plenty of time to take care of your precious pet. I’m a cardio bunny so I am pretty much available whenever you need me to come walk your dog, maybe come for a few hours to watch them! My hours are pretty flexible, weekends, mornings, nights, you let me know! I am good at following directions and respecting peoples homes and systems! With whatever certain rules or schedules you have in place for your animal, I can do what is needed based on the guidelines you want in place.
“Angel made the process very easy. I’m a first time user fornRover, and Angel was happy to teach me some tips and tricks for using the app. She took pictures of the boys which were absolutely adorable. She came on time as expected and followed the care instructions perfectly.”

About: I grew up with pets galore. From a young age I've had dogs, of all sizes, cats, a bird, and even turtles. I have experience caring for sick pets and elderly pets. Since I was about 14 years old I have been watching neighbors and friends pets. In addition I have volunteered at several animal shelters and currently am a volunteer with my local shelter, so i have walked dogs of all kinds. I am calm in a crisis and will keep you updated at all times. I work at an elementary school! So, during the school year I work 7:15 to 3:15. During the summer and breaks my schedule is more open! I have my own dogs, so they go in a fenced in yard. But I also walk them. So, when it comes to others pets I will happily do whatever your pet needs! I can happily feed, walk, play, etc with any of your pets. If they need meds, I am comfortable ensuring they get them.
“It was great to have Sarah drop in & take care of our dogs! Luna is very shy & takes a bit to warm up to new people. When Sarah came over for a meet & greet I could tell Luna like Sarah right away. That’s a big relief for me! Tito loves everybody so I wasn’t too concerned about him. Sarah did a great job & communicated with me throughout. I will definitely have her come back!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lawrenceville
Once again, Katie did an amazing job with our cats. Unfortunately, one of our cats who was 18 years old took a bad turn while we were out of town and Katie stayed extra time to sit with her until someone could arrive to be with her. Katie knew this cat for many years when had become one of her favorite people through lots of gentle love and care. We will forever be grateful that she was with our sweet girl when she wasn’t well, providing such tender care and kindness when we couldn’t be there.

Diane is incredible!! She takes such good care of our kitties, and always gives us the exact pictures and visit summary we love! She is so good with our cats and they warmed up to her so fast. We wouldn’t be able to do much of anything without Diane. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to know their animals are well-taken care of and loved on!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lawrenceville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
