âDionne was great with our cat Monkey! We told her he loves to be walked on a harness but said she didnât have to do that and she ended up walking him every day which I know he absolutely loved! Good communication, went above and beyond, and our shy cat even came out to say hi to her which is a very rare event. They seemed happy and healthy went we got home and everything looked good.â

âMaria was excellent with our dogs! We will use her in the future and we will recommend her to other friends and family. She provided dropping service that exceeded our needs. Thank you!!â

About: My involvement with animals has been my whole life, but it truly started with my mom who is a former breeder. I learned so much from my mom and have had so much involvement with dogs ranging big and small in size and personality. Theres many high-tense situations that have built my experience and rationality for anything. I am willing to accommodate to any special need your pet may need as I know some need more patience than others. I have my own pets as well and have trained them myself. I have a large loving doodle and a feisty cat. I'm currently a student aiming to be a veterinary technician who can give the best possible care to peoples pets. I am currently working part time as a freelancer. This gives me the liberty to take as much time needed for any pet needs. I can drop by or stay by their side full time. As I do have my own dog so I would need to check on him daily. When caring for pets, I prioritize: * Consistent feeding schedules * Fresh water and clean bowls/litter areas * Safe walks and supervised play * Medication instructions if needed * Patience with shy, anxious, senior, or high-energy animals * Regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured
âWe appreciated Ashlyn work, she tried her best to follow the instructions to take care of our sweet cat, she was flexible with scheduling and showed up as expected. Definitely looking forward for future opportunities.â

âRebecca is great with animals. She shows up professionally and with genuine care for her work. If you're in need of pet care, particularly if you have larger dogs, Rebecca will not disappoint. She went above and beyond. Thank you, Rebecca.â

About: I have lived with dogs starting at age 13 and been a part of raising 3 dogs in all the time since then. I pay special attention to a dogâs needs, having participated in both puppy training and frequent monitoring and potty breaks/clean up for senior dogs. I go as far as picking a dog up off the ground if no paw slips are available during sweltering conditions! My dog experience has been within the 40-70 pound range, but I can only walk a dog up to 40 pounds (unless the large dog is off-leash trained/VERY focused on their walker and doesnât pull). Playtime is something I value in providing dogs as a form of both physical exercise and mental enrichment. I provide updates and pictures to both showcase my accountability/standards and give an owner peace of mind while their pets are under my supervision. I follow any instructions and preferences provided by an owner very closely, making sure to review them before service is provided. The trust of an owner and their pet(s) are of utmost importance to me to respect and earn. I am very excited to work with more owners and animals! Thank you for reading! My dog sleeps in my room with me, so I typically wake up early to let her outside to use the bathroom. Then, we socialize with family, and we give her treats throughout the day. She loves chasing a ball in our woodsy backyard, so I make sure to do that with her until sheâs panting and thoroughly spent. She eats one bowl a day in the evening with either dried nutritional supplement or leftover dinner from a previous night (sheâs spoiled!). Plenty of opportunities to go out to use the bathroom, especially before bedtime. Lots of snuggles. She currently has a lot of my time and attention as I seek full-time work, but I always make sure to let her use the bathroom before I would normally go to work. This kind of intimate care where I spend a great amount of quality time with my dog is how I like to be with pets that are in my care. Frequent check-ins as needed, if not spending a great deal of time together so the pet doesnât feel lonely in the ownerâs absence! Routine is essential for animals, and I try to keep a consistent one with my dog. Routine and consistency will absolutely be kept for any animals in my care. Punctuality and reliability are very important to meâ as well as pets!
âGreat job, Ariel! Ariel was prompt, friendly, and absolutely went above and beyond to make my senior fur baby feel safe and loved. She communicated well with me by text and photos so that I felt comfortable being away. I strongly recommend Ariel to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy person to care for their fur baby. Thank you, Ariel.â
âAbigail was absolutely wonderful with our cats. She took the time to make sure they were truly well cared for and went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable , even our shy kitty warmed up to her. She did us a huge favor by accepting a last-minute booking, which we were so grateful for. Her communication was excellent from start to finish. She kept us updated, was responsive, and clearly cares about the animals she looks after. Sheâs incredibly friendly, responsible, and genuinely kind. We would absolutely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Sheâs the best!â

About: I grew up with pets galore. From a young age I've had dogs, of all sizes, cats, a bird, and even turtles. I have experience caring for sick pets and elderly pets. Since I was about 14 years old I have been watching neighbors and friends pets. In addition I have volunteered at several animal shelters and currently am a volunteer with my local shelter, so i have walked dogs of all kinds. I am calm in a crisis and will keep you updated at all times. I work at an elementary school! So, during the school year I work 7:15 to 3:15. During the summer and breaks my schedule is more open! I have my own dogs, so they go in a fenced in yard. But I also walk them. So, when it comes to others pets I will happily do whatever your pet needs! I can happily feed, walk, play, etc with any of your pets. If they need meds, I am comfortable ensuring they get them.

From energetic puppies to sensitive cats, I understand the unique personalities and needs of both species. Whether itâs an active midday walk or a cozy drop-in visit, I promise to treat your furry family members with the exact same love, patience, and attention I give my own! :) Because I work from home, I have excellent flexibility throughout the day. This makes it easy for me to adapt to your pet's unique schedule for dog walks and drop-in visits, whatever time works best for you. Your furry family members will get reliable, attentive care exactly when they need it. Feel free to reach outâIâm here to help! :) For Drop-In Visits: My goal is to keep your petâs routine seamless and stress-free. For cats, I handle feeding, fresh water, meticulous litter box scooping, and plenty of chin scratches or playtime. For dogs, I focus on quick potty breaks, feeding, and affection. I treat your home with the utmost respect, ensure everything is secure before I leave, and always send photo updates! For Dog Walking: Safety is my top priority. I keep your pup secure on their leash and adapt to their paceâwhether they want a brisk workout or a slow, sniff-heavy stroll. Afterward, Iâll wipe muddy paws, refresh their water bowl, and make sure they are happily settled back inside.
About: Iâve taken care of dogs since I was 15 and went around the neighborhood taking dogs from the size of a chihuahua to a husky on walks ranging from a walk down the street to over a mile. I am not working this summer so I will be able to meet with the dog who I am sitting for daily, perhaps even multiple times a day. I care for pets exactly the way the owner wants. I do best with a list so I can follow exactly how the owner treats their dog, whether it be to walk time to feeding time.
âThank you for taking care of my baby girl all weekend! Amber was amazing!!! She gave me so many details and kept me in the loop constantly! She is also great at handling big dogs who can get crazy!! Will definitely be using her again!â

Aaliya was the greatest petsitter we could have asked for to take care of our fur kids. She was very thorough with questions ahead of our departure and took great care of our two cats while we were gone. She was extremely responsive and sent us updates each day. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trusted sitter!

Yasiry is a great sitter. When I reached out through Rover she responded immediately and came by for the interview. She was perfect for my elderly kitty, Raven. She was able to administer his oral medication and sent me pictures every day. We will use Yasiry in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
