About: Growing up, I always begged for a pet every chance I got. I have so much love, appreciation, and passion for not only pets but for animals as a whole, and this hasn't changed since I was a kid. In my free time I enjoy playing with my pets and watching animal documentaries. In terms of experience, I am PetTech certified, I am working with a local pet sitting business for over a year now, where I do drop-in visits for dogs and cats, as well as walks and house sitting too! I also previously volunteered with a local animal shelter where I worked with mainly cats and kittens, and dogs on occasion. As a volunteer, my responsibilities mostly included transport, playing with the shelter animals, weighing, and checking in/watching. I currently have 2 cats, 1 male and 1 female, that I got as kittens. I have had these cats for about 2 years. In the past, I had a dog for 3 years. My responsibilities with these pets include/included feeding, bathing, playing, walking, cleaning up after, etc. I am not currently working and have reliable transportation. I have a flexible schedule and lots of time to take care of and spend time with your furry friends! I have experience pet sitting in clients' homes before. I am detail oriented and follow the directions left by clients well! I clean up after not only myself but also your furry friends and leave the home as I found it!
“Angel was great! Our request was very last minute and Angel came through for us. Communication was fantastic and helped to make sure all our fur babies were in good hands.”

“Highly recommend! We use Nicole for regular drop in visits and she is wonderful! Always prompt, very accommodating and flexible, professional, and of course great with my pup!”

About: I have a lot of experience with various animals. I also take care of my 11 year old Shih Tzu who who is allergic to grass and has anxiety so I’m used to providing extra care. I am currently taking a break from school and I have a part time job so my schedule is pretty flexible for the most part. I have a pretty calm temperament so animals usually tend to get along with me, but I also can handle and control any unexpected situations that occur. I am pretty familiar with reading the body language of the pets to make sure they are comfortable.
About: I started pet sitting for the families I nannied for when they'd go away. I enjoy going on walks and playtime. I have a pet free home and would love to speak further regarding pet sitting. :) I am a SAHM so I spend most of my days at home.My husband also works from home during the week in our home office. I follow the lead of you for each pet. I can sit in your home or bring your pets to my animal free home. I’m excited to meet you.
“Holli took amazing care of our three dogs and three cats. She even dealt with a messy issue with one of the dogs with no complaints!! We will definitely call upon her again!!”

“Sarah was so communicative and was so great with our furbabies! They loved all the attention and love she gave them! I will definitely be booking her for our future trips! Thank you for all you do 🖤”

About: I love animals since I was a kid and I’ve always grown up with them! As a young student and hard-worker I haven't had time to adopt a baby as my own to give them all the attention in the world, but with school slowing down I have the time to get back into spending time with animals 🥺. I’ve baby sat animals over the years for friends and family, I’ve had cats and dogs and kitties, good at walking and taking care of them! I’m a part-time server and taking classes online this summer so plenty of time to take care of your precious pet. I’m a cardio bunny so I am pretty much available whenever you need me to come walk your dog, maybe come for a few hours to watch them! My hours are pretty flexible, weekends, mornings, nights, you let me know! I am good at following directions and respecting peoples homes and systems! With whatever certain rules or schedules you have in place for your animal, I can do what is needed based on the guidelines you want in place.
“This why my first time ever using Rover, and Brianna was the best!! She stayed in communication!! I honestly was nervous since I have never used Rover before but no need to be worried because Ghost was left in great hands!! Thank you Brianna I have already told you probably a million times but this was an amazing experience and I will be booking with just Brianna since Ghost took to her very well!!”

“Maria was truly a blessing for us during our absence. She took excellent care of Chelsea every day, even during an ice storm, and then snow the following week. Her attention to detail and care were so appreciated. We will definitely be using her again.”

About: I’ve learned a few things about training dogs and patience is always something I’ll never have a problem with. Never mind picking up after them Pet care fits perfectly in my daily routine. Always need love from our family pets. Would love to care for them every day for sure I’ll always make sure I’m looking out for them and make sure they are comfortable and fed properly. Will give them as much attention. .
“Maria was excellent with our dogs! We will use her in the future and we will recommend her to other friends and family. She provided dropping service that exceeded our needs. Thank you!!”

“Kasey was a great and communicative catsitter. She came in for around 10 visits on two different occasions, and each visit sent updates, photos, and videos. We felt relieved to know that our cat was in good hands!”

About: Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been surrounded by animals/pets! Whether it be birds, fishes, dog’s, cat’s you name it! I love them! My family has always especially loved dogs. Chihuahuas, Shih tzu’s, Labrador Retrievers and Yorkies were specifically the pets that I grew up with. I saw them and helped them blossom from pups and grow into adult dogs! Nature is one of my favorite things to be around and taking care of your pets is an even bigger passion! Combining those two together allows for your pet and I to really thrive during walks! Your pet would certainly be delighted to enjoy some activities outside like playing games with me or even just me walking long distances with your pet that would help meet your pet’s needs! My schedule is very flexible and I would be more than happy to help take care of your pets at any moment! I am currently working a part time job which allows me to be available most days, and thankfully a big plus that I have is that I mostly never work weekends as well! Your pets safety and care is a very high value of mine at all times. I am a very attentive and observant person, but also a very affectionate and patient person. Gaining your pets trust is extremely important and it’s something I am passionate about.
“Chelsea did a remarkable job caring for my animals. I cant thank her enough for being so attentive and caring to my elderly King Charles, and my kitties. Mr. Charlie liked her immediately at the meet and greet. She made sure he ate his food and took his supplements, etc. as well as cats. I will be glad to use her again next time I am out of town.”

“Johanna is great with my puppy. She plays with him and cuddles him and he's always excited to see her. She even brings in my packages when she sees them outside. I would recommend her.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alcovy Forest. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
