“Highly recommend! Daniela watched our three dogs over the weekend and was fantastic. She's professional, friendly, and sent us tons of pictures and detailed updates after every visit. It’s rare to find someone so attentive to a multi-dog household. Five stars!”

“Angel made the process very easy. I’m a first time user fornRover, and Angel was happy to teach me some tips and tricks for using the app. She took pictures of the boys which were absolutely adorable. She came on time as expected and followed the care instructions perfectly.”

“Holli is fantastic. It was my first time using Rover with my two cats. She is kind, professional and punctual. Send me a lot of pic on updates that made feel that my cats where doing good with her. I highly recommend it.”

I currently have one mini schnauzer at home who loves making new friends! I work a 9-to-5 schedule on weekdays, but I’m fully available on weekends to give your pet plenty of attention, playtime, and care. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or just keeping them company, I make sure they feel right at home. About: Real-Time Photo & Video Updates: High-energy photo updates and detailed walk summaries after every visit so you never have to guess how your dog is doing. I work a full-time job during the week, which means my dedicated pet care hours are focused on Friday evenings and full weekends. During these times, pet care is my sole priority—I genuinely enjoy spending my weekend hours giving your pets my undivided attention, long walks, and quality companionship. I have a small yard and live in a quiet, peaceful community. It is a calm, low-stress environment perfect for restful stays, safe yard play, and gentle neighborhood walks with minimal noise or distractions.
“After 3 yrs using the same sitter I had to find a new one so of course there was some hesitation.. but rest assured Chelsea is amazing! I walked in & Hope looked displeased to see me back haha Thank you so much for taking such great care of her!”

“I am very happy with the care and attention Maria provided to my indoor and semi feral cats. After our meet and greet I knew she would be perfect for drop in services. She reliably checked in at the beginning of each visit, fed and watered my fur kids and even kept the litter box fresh and clean. At the conclusion of each visit I was assured they were in good hands by the photos she sent each day. I would highly recommend her for any pet sitting needs and will definitely use her again. Thank you Maria Abigail!”

About: I’ve always been around dogs and have cared for two of my own— a small yorkie and a large lab. I’ll give your pet lots of love and attention. I currently work Monday through Friday from 1–9 p.m., so I’m available for overnight stays, early mornings, and late-night care. I can easily fit walks, feedings, and quality time into my routine. Every pet is different, so I follow the owner’s instructions and make sure they are sticking to their routines and getting plenty of attention, walks, and playtime.
“For me using Rover for the first time, I was pretty nervous about having someone else watch my dog. However, Colleen made it very easy to communicate and setup a good system for my dog. With her having a half hour per visit, I can tell she filled that time productively, and gave Maggie the positive energy she needed while I was gone. Colleen also sends photos confirming that Maggie ate or walked, and that allowed me to still see Maggie in action. I’m very happy with her service and how easy she was able to pull it off for Maggie.”

About: I love dogs and cats too, I got into dog - sitting when I first moved to Georgia and my neighbor went out of town I watched her dog while she was gone and have been dog sitting ever since. I love going out and walking dogs and playing with dogs. I make sure they feel like they are loved and with their owners when I watch animals I love making them even little treats and dinners. Also if you have specific thing your animal eats then you can count on me to make sure they have a good healthy meal, I also am good about giving them their medication. I understand how people love for their animals as if they were their children and I totally get it. You worry about them and want to make sure they are taken care of well. I myself even hate the thought of my animal being alone for over a long period of time because of work or school.
“Chloe took care of our cat, Leonard while we were out of town and did a great job! Showed up on time, followed all his needs, took pics and great communication. Would highly recommend!”

“Erin was very nice! You can tell she loves pets. She took very good care of my 2 dogs and I appreciate she was able to do it last minute! Very recommended! I would definitely work with her again!”

About: I’m a retired special educator with a lifelong love for dogs, and I bring the same patience, reliability, and attentiveness to pet care that I did to my years in the classroom. I’ve worked with big dogs, tiny puppies, and dogs with different abilities — including my most recent dog, who was a tripod — so I’m very comfortable adapting to each pup’s unique needs and personality. Over the years, I’ve also worked closely with multiple trainers for my own dogs, which has given me a solid understanding of basic training techniques, positive reinforcement, and how to support good habits. Whether your dog needs a calm, steady presence, an experienced handler, or someone who understands how to support mobility or behavioral differences, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I take pride in being responsible, communicative, and fully dedicated to their comfort and wellbeing. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and routine will always be my top priority. I am a recently retired (but still young!) special educator so I am extremely flexible these days. I’ll keep my calendar up to date for availability. If I am in town, I can often take last minute requests. When I’m in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect as my own. I follow all instructions carefully and can handle essential tasks such as administering oral medications, feeding, checking mail, and watering plants. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Alcovy Forest
We are so grateful to have found Terrilyn. She is completely reliable, always show up on time, and treat our dog like family. We love getting the detailed updates and cute photos after every walk. Our dog gets so excited every time they arrive. Highly recommended to any pet parent looking for exceptional care!
Daniela and her mom were absolutely AMAZING!!! They treated our baby Scuttle with so much love and care. They followed all instructions, had incredible communication, and shared lots of pictures in each report. We have never used Rover this regularly for scuttle before, and we were so impressed by their kindness and willingness to do whatever was needed to make us and our baby comfortable. We can’t wait to hire Daniela again!!

Karen was awesome! I needed someone last minute to drop in on my pups, and she came through for me. She followed all of my house rules, which I really appreciated, made sure they were fed and let out, and even gave them some belly rubs and extra love. 🐾❤️ I felt really comfortable knowing my pups were in good hands. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!
Angel was great! She did everything we asked of her making sure our cats were fed and played with, and litter boxes cleaned. She even went out of her way to take care of a bit of a bug pest issue and notified us right away. It should be a no-brainer on who to book while you’re away.

Chelsea has been our go to doggie sitter for the past year or two. Hope absolutely loves her and I love her thorough messages. Recently I had to book a different sitter because Chelsea was traveling at the same time as me and let's just say the other sitter wasn't as thorough with her updates.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
