About: I love dogs and cats too, I got into dog - sitting when I first moved to Georgia and my neighbor went out of town I watched her dog while she was gone and have been dog sitting ever since. I love going out and walking dogs and playing with dogs. I make sure they feel like they are loved and with their owners when I watch animals I love making them even little treats and dinners. Also if you have specific thing your animal eats then you can count on me to make sure they have a good healthy meal, I also am good about giving them their medication. I understand how people love for their animals as if they were their children and I totally get it. You worry about them and want to make sure they are taken care of well. I myself even hate the thought of my animal being alone for over a long period of time because of work or school.
“Rebecca did an amazing job with our two cats when we were out of town. I really appreciated the care she showed towards them as well as the daily updates and pictures! Would highly recommend her services!”

“Kaitlyn was patient with our skiddish rescue and won her over. Pictures and updates sent from each visit. We knew our baby girl was well cared for and we have booked another session with Kaitlyn!!”

About: Being a dog mom for the past 5 years has been one of my greatest joy. Caring for my Aussiedoodle has taught me to recognize a dog's needs, establish routines, and provide plenty of exercise, affection, and companionship. I understand that pets are family, and I'll care for yours with the same love and attention I give my own. Since I'm currently not working, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. I can accommodate walks, feeding schedules, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I enjoy spending time with animals and can provide consistent, loving care to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their established routine to help keep their pet comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they have fresh water, feed them according to the owner's instructions, take them on safe and enjoyable walks, and spend quality time playing and providing companionship. I also pay close attention to their behavior and well-being, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and cared for while their family is away. I respect my clients' homes, keep everything clean and secure, and provide updates so owners can have peace of mind.
“Holli was great!!! She was quick to respond and schedule a meeting. She always arrived on time and took care of our kitties! She sent us pics and updates which really put our mind at ease. Would definitely book her again!”

About: I’ve had 3 dogs in my life growing up, which have all been loved and cared for. In the past couple of years have friends and family asked to take care of their pets. Usually consists of walks and simple drop ins to make sure they are doing well and fed. Most animals that I sit for are dogs. I do love and adore cats, and would love to gain more experience caring for them. I currently work a part-time job, in which i have days in the week i am completely free to take care of your pets! I love going to the park or simply go on walks during my free time. I currently don’t have any other pets which won’t impact the care for your pets. I live with people who also care a lot about animals. I will be able to adapt and understand the environment a dog comes from and accommodate to that.

“Joanna was great with Kobe! She was super reliable, always on time for her drop-ins, and kept me in the loop the whole time with excellent communication. Will definitely be booking her again!”

“Elizabeth took phenomenal care of Theo! He often takes a while to warm up to new people, but was immediately at ease with her. She provided frequent updates and even brought our packages in. She was truly a wonderful sitter and made our time away from home stress free.”

About: I have 2 dogs myself and I love taking them for starbucks runs! I love walking and playing with them and I can’t wait to do the same with yours! I do work at Texas Roadhouse (mainly the afternoons) about 3 days a week but I can always make time for the animals and work around that schedule! Other than that I am free! I have a fenced in yard and 2 loving dogs that loves to play! I can’t crate your dog if needed but I also can let them lay out on the couch!
“Laila did an amazing job! We reached out last minute and she was very responsive. Her communication was amazing and she went above expectations to spend time and play with our kitties. We will definitely rebook with her!”

“Daniela was absolutely AMAZING! She was professional, timely, and caring. Daniela took great care of my 4 fur babies. She sent updates and pictures to keep me informed. My doggies loved her. I will surely use Daniela again in the future!!!”

“Sahara was literally an angel who stepped in when a previously hired sitter no showed after I had already left town. She has been patient with my very shy and skittish senior cat who is now enjoying being petted by Sahara. I highly recommend her.”

“Lourdes is so great with my senior dog with special needs. She has a very quick response time and is very good about communicating. She helped me when I was in a bind and I appreciate her so much. She knew exactly what she needed from me and that shows me that she’s experienced. My dog also loves spending time with her. I can’t say enough good things about Lourdes, she’s the best!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
