“We had a wonderful experience with Paige taking care of Sam. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, and Sam felt comfortable and happy with her. Paige took great care of him, and we felt completely at ease trusting her to watch over him during the days she was scheduled. Highly recommend!”

“Jennifer was absolutely wonderful with my pups! This is my first time using rover and she made me completely comfortable. I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Sahara was literally an angel who stepped in when a previously hired sitter no showed after I had already left town. She has been patient with my very shy and skittish senior cat who is now enjoying being petted by Sahara. I highly recommend her.”

About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals. I have taken care of and trained a Catahoula leopard dog mix, an Anatolian shepherd (100lbs), and a golden doodle. I have no problem walking any breed of dog. I am experienced in usual bathing, walking, and feeding dogs. I work from home I have open hours between 8-9:30AM, 3-4PM, and 7-8PM for dropping by. I prefer day sitting hypoallergenic dogs due to allergies. For day sitting I am available 8AM-8PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I am flexible with extending the hours. My husband and I work from home with out two goldendoodles. He was very well trained in his social skills and behavior while in a social setting. I take online courses and am coached by US service dog. We take him out at least 3-4 times a day and he gets an average of 2 hours of play/walk outside with us. We value our dog to eat healthy and to have manners at the table so he only eats his food and does not beg for human food. He does not lay on couches either. We bath him every other week and groom him every 3 months. He is well taken care of and some would say, spoiled rotten.
“Palmer and I had a wonderful meet and greet with Charlotte today. We were both very impressed with her, and Palmer was comfortable with her right away! We can tell she will love our sweet girl as if she were her own. We are very much looking forward to having Charlotte visit on a regular basis.”

About: I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your pets in someone else’s care, so I focus on providing dependable, loving, attentive care while keeping pets relaxed and comfortable in their own environment. What sets me apart is my flexible availability, calm personality, and genuine love for animals. I’m patient with shy pets, attentive to routines and special instructions, and I truly enjoy spending quality time with animals rather than just “checking in.” I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets, senior pets, and pets who may need extra attention, slower walks, medications, or a little extra reassurance while their owners are away. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel connected and at ease while traveling. My youngest child has gone off to college, and I’ve lovingly cared for neighbors’, friends’, and family members’ fur babies for years. That’s my grand-fur-baby English Cream Golden in the photo 🥰 I have a very flexible schedule and open availability, so your pets will get lots of attention, affection, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I’m available for weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays. I care for every pet as if they were part of my own family and always try to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. During drop-in visits and walks, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, fresh water, meals (if needed), potty breaks, playtime, and lots of love. I’m very respectful of clients’ homes, keep things clean and tidy, and provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I’m also comfortable caring for multiple pets, senior pets, and administering basic medications if needed. I’m happy to accommodate each pet’s individual personality, energy level, and routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi! I’m Teela, a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for pets of all sizes and personalities. I’ve had 8 pets throughout my life and currently have 3 spoiled fur babies of my own who are basically furry little toddlers at this point. 🐾 I genuinely love spending time with animals, whether that means playtime, walks, cuddle sessions, belly rubs, or just keeping them company so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. My dogs also love meeting and hanging out with new furry friends, so your pup will always have a welcoming environment full of love and attention. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, because I’m the same way with mine. I’ll care for your babies like they’re my own and make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m patient, attentive, dependable, and happy to work with different personalities, routines, and energy levels. Whether your dog is super playful, shy, clingy, energetic, or just wants someone to vibe on the couch with them while watching TV, I’m your girl! Since I currently work from home, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day instead of leaving them alone for long hours. Your pet will have someone around consistently to help them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. My flexible schedule also allows me to stick closely to your pet’s normal routine, whether that includes walks, feeding schedules, medications, play sessions, or just extra companionship for pets who don’t like being alone. I genuinely enjoy having animals around the house, so caring for them naturally fits into my daily routine! Your pet’s safety and comfort are extremely important to me! My home is set up to create a secure, pet-friendly environment where dogs can relax, play, and feel right at home. We have a safety gate sectioned off near the front door for added protection and peace of mind, especially for curious pups who like to explore. We also have a fully fenced-in backyard with plenty of space to run, play, sniff around, and have a full-on paw-ty with my friendly dog crew. 🐾 Whether your pet loves zoomies, sunbathing, or just lounging outside for fresh air, they’ll have a safe and fun space to enjoy throughout their stay.

“April took excellent care of our cat Apollo. She was very reliable and proved how resourceful she was during a gas shortage! We will definitely ask for her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets and understanding their needs. I also gained hands-on experience working with farm animals in Colombia for several years. To me, pets are not just animals—they are family. I treat every pet with love, patience, and respect, ensuring they feel safe, cared for, and happy while you’re away. I’m available during the week and most weekends. I have a flexible schedule and can provide consistent care and attention to your pets throughout the day. My home has a fully fenced yard, and pets are always under my supervision. I create a safe and loving environment where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. If your dog is crate-trained, I can also accommodate that routine to help them feel more secure. My home is dog-friendly, as I have two friendly dogs, so your pet will have a safe and welcoming space.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
