“Bailey is hands down the best person ever to watch your dog. She is great with our big 65 pound Australian poodle and she is a natural around him. She was never late taking Romo out and it’s clear she is passionate about dogs. Definitely plan on booking her again in the future!”

“All of our pets love Tiderat! She just has a special way about her with all animals. Tiderat is our sitter of choice, having used her several times. Cannot recommend enough!!”

“Bailey did an amazing job with my cats! She asked plenty of clarifying questions during the meet-n-greet and provided updates while I was gone. My cats especially appreciated that she took time to play with them when she stopped in. Even my camera-shy cat made several appearances for her. :)”

“Ms Brenda is an amazing animal caretaker. She is always on time and checks in during every visit. She treats my furbaby like one of her own. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and helping care for them. I am so happy I found her to help with my Luna :)”

“Lisa took excellent care of my daughters cat, Pixie, while we were away. She was very engaging & provided thoughtful updates on how Pixie was doing, which gave us peace of mind. Administering medication can sometimes be tricky, but Lisa handled it with no issues. I truly appreciate her care and attention to detail. Highly recommend!”

“Patricia was absolutely fantastic and took such great care of my cats while I was gone for a couple days. She sent daily updates and pictures, was super friendly and communicative, and ensured my cats were happy! I would highly recommend her services.”

About: I grew up with cats, two dogs, bunnies, fish, etc and have been taking care of various animals of my own/my family's plus pet sitting for friends/family/neighbors over 15 years. I love animals and would love to help out with your fur babies whenever you need! I have experience with various forms of administering medications, special food needs, long walks for 1-3 dogs at once, litter box cleaning, playtime, and of course pets and cuddles. I do work full time in Gainesville so my availability is more weeknights and Saturday/Sunday all day, and I am not able to host any animals. I live in and work full time in Gainesville, so my availability is largely weeknights after 5PM and all day Saturday/Sunday and I do have the ability to work from home two days a week. Depending on location/days needed I am available to house sit. For drop in care/walking services, I could go before work, during lunch, and then again after work if needed, just let me know and I will try to work it out however you need! I am unable to board pets in my home due to my sweet cat Noelle who gets stressed with other animals, but I am available to come to your pet. I will ensure your pet is taken care of to your standards and will ensure a safe, clean, and happy time for your pet while you are away, even if its a simple mid day walk.

“Guadalupe is fantastic! Our very large pup loved her coming over and checking in on him while we're traveling. And our two very shy/skittish cats actually come out to say hello to her when she drops is. Highly recommend”

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs over the past couple years. I’ve considered getting a big dog for myself, but I do enjoy watching them for awhile and then having them go back to their owners I currently work from home as a mortgage originator. I will be around most of the time for your dog or cat. I bring your dog for several walks per day (depending on the dog) and I have a yard. I only board one dog at a time, unless you own two dogs that need to be boarded. This way, your dog will get my full attention and you will not have to worry about your dog getting along with another dog. For dogs in my home, they be with me in my front room all day. I’d walk them several times a day, usually a mile or two depending upon the size of the dog. I also have a fairly large yard for dogs that like to run or play fetch.
About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. I am great with puppy training and all cares needed for your furry friends. Jordan was fabulous! She was able to administer oral calming medication to our cat during our absence which we have not been able to do and she sent great reports and pictures. She did everything we asked her to do. We plan to use her again if we need a pet sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
