“Erin was very nice! You can tell she loves pets. She took very good care of my 2 dogs and I appreciate she was able to do it last minute! Very recommended! I would definitely work with her again!”

About: Me and my fiance love animals and have 5 dogs and 1 cat of our own. We have 20 years of experience caring for all types of dogs from small to large and many different breeds as well as cats. We both have experience administering medicine and allergy shots if needed. We also have experience with dogs not potty trained. References can be provided upon request. I work full time but am blessed to have a flexible schedule and my fiance Bryan is home full time so we are able to accommodate many schedules including same day services. We have a fenced in backyard as well as a room that is dedicated to overnight guests so they have their own safe space to decompress. Our yard is mowed and kept clean of debris.
“Elizabeth was very communicative and took great care of our kitties, including our special needs senior cat. I was very nervous to leave him, but Elizabeth made sure to get him his meds and keep me updated on how he was doing. I would definitely hire her to watch them again.”

“Holli was great!!! She was quick to respond and schedule a meeting. She always arrived on time and took care of our kitties! She sent us pics and updates which really put our mind at ease. Would definitely book her again!”

About: Over the 10 past years, I have been able to build amazing bonds with my furry clients and their owners. I started pet sitting when I was 14 to show my mom responsibility and that I could take care of a dog on my own (it took 5 years to convince her btw). My mom agreed to it, and my classmate dropped off Leo, a 7 year old Shitzu, at my house and it was the best week of my summer break. Since then, I have cared for puppies as young as 8 weeks to seniors up to 17 years. I have been able to keep loyal and consistent clients because of my trust and honesty, but also because I am able to adapt to each pets different personality and energy. I have experience with all types of dog breeds from chihuahuas to pitbulls and yorkies to labradoodles, as well as cats since 2020! I treat every home with respect and every animal as if they were my own. My main goal is to keep them happy and in their normal routine for meals, walks, and medications, as well as providing peace of mind for owners. Message me with any questions or to set up a meet and greet 🐾 I'm currently in my last year of college and am on campus Monday - Wednesday. I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets and I'll be looking forward to having new study partners 🐶🐱 I ask about and respect boundaries they have for the home. I keep pets in their routine as close as possible. If a feeding or walk time interferes with a class, I communicate with owners to let them know. I like to ask questions and then schedule a meet and greet to make sure we are a good fit.
About: Hi there! I'm Erika and I've been dog sitting for over 25 years. It was actually my first job! I have experience with many different breeds, sizes and ages. Dogs are allowed everywhere in my home but the use of a crate is welcome if it makes your fur baby more comfortable. I take the dogs in my care on multiple walks a day and have a separate place for them to eat peacefully, should the need arise. Meet and Greets are a great opportunity to see if my home and family are a good fit for your fur baby. Looking forward to hearing from you! I work from home so any animal in my care will be right by my side! I take all dogs in my care on multiple walks a day for relief and enrichment. My home is clean and safe. I am home the majority of the day so I will be in constant contact with any pet that is my care.
“Morgan continues to provide outstanding sitting services for our two cats, and has always gone above and beyond in terms of making sure they feel cared for. Would highly recommend at a moment's notice!”

About: Ever since I was a little girl I have always loved animals. I have always had a family pet and I currently have a sweet puppy of my own, his name is Ollie. In high school I volunteered at local animal shelters and started dog/ farm sitting for friends and family. It is one of my lifetime dreams to open up a doggy cafe and maybe even a doggy day camp. So if you ever need anyone to dog sit, walk your pups, or even just hang out with them for a little while… I am super flexible and more than willing!! I have a very flexible and remote job, so I can always find time to escape to go play with some pups! I’m available more often than not for dog/housesitting, walks, and check ins throughout the week!! My biggest concern is that your fur baby is happy and healthy. Every family is different and every dog may require different needs, I understand that and know that all too well. I am pretty flexible and up for anything to ensure your pup is living their best life. I am a big fan of communication so I will always ask questions if any situation arises. And I will keep you updated with tons of cute photos of your sweet babies.

About: Hi, I’m Sara! 👋 Dogs have been my passion for over 12 years, and caring for them is one of my favorite things to do. Whether your pup is an energetic adventurer, a couch cuddle expert, or a senior who just wants a slow stroll and some extra love, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I owner-trained my own service dog, which taught me how to truly understand canine body language, behavior, and communication. I’m always paying attention to the little things—whether a dog is feeling playful, nervous, overstimulated, or just needs a little extra patience. I have extensive experience with bully breeds, am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and have experience safely managing crate-and-rotate households. I’m also confident administering medications and caring for senior dogs and pets with special needs. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away and for you to have complete peace of mind. Expect plenty of photo updates, belly rubs (if they’re into that!), playtime, enrichment, and lots of one-on-one attention. I know how much trust it takes to leave your best friend with someone else, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! I do this full time since I was laid off last year. I have very open availability and time to dedicate to your fur babies! I make sure each client leaves detailed instructions for food, medication and any vet care needed. I’m ocd about having all the info I need to make your pet as comfortable as possible while you’re out of town.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
