“If you are looking for a sitter who can handle a literal zoo with grace, look no further! We threw a lot at Barbara—dogs, cats, mini donkeys, and even a goat—and she handled them all like a pro. But the real test was our pig. To be fair, she had zero 'swine experience' going in, and our pig definitely knew it. He made it his mission to drive her absolutely bananas, but she didn’t crack! She was patient, attentive, and somehow managed to keep everyone happy and fed. It’s not every day you find someone willing to referee a pig while making sure the donkeys get their ear scratches. We came home to a very calm farm and happy animals. We’ll definitely be booking her again—if the pig hasn't scared her off for good”

About: I've taken care of a wide range of dogs and some cats in my 3 years of pet sitting. I used to work as a sitter in Providence, RI so this isn't my first time working with Rover. I also have a 2.5 year old Maltipoo that I got as a puppy so that has increased my puppy experience. I just graduated from school so my schedule has opened up. As long as I have enough notice I'm available most days at anytime of day. I am open to doing meet and greets to get to know you and your pet beforehand, to build comfort. I will abide by whatever routine is set in place while making sure to provide plenty of of playtime and exercise if that's what your pet enjoys. I'm will also regularly communicate if needed!

We can also take in anything you’d like to bring like toys, treats, a bed, etc. Because this is our home, we cannot take in pups with below average hygiene like mud/dirt or a strong hygienic odor. Mornings begin with outdoor or indoor play to help the pups release energy and start their day on a positive note. Meal times are handled individually, with separate feeding to accommodate each pet’s dietary needs and preferences, ensuring a stress-free dining experience. Throughout the day, I provide unlimited outdoor breaks for fresh air and exercise, weather permitting, allowing them to explore and stay active. About: Hello, thank you for considering me. I have always loved and had pets since I was a child. I have provided boarding for family and friends as well as clients over the years, and now I am retired and home all day to care for your pets full time. My teens will be assisting and loving on your fur babies who will probably snuggle with them at night. I am retired from the federal government after 25 years with SSA and the U.S. Army, so I am now a stay at home mom, ready to welcome your babies. They will be home away from home, to say the least. Inside, I have leather couches, tile floors covered with soft, non-slip waterproof pads for your pups comfort. There are also teenagers awaiting the opportunity to snuggle with your fur baby. There is no area off limits here. I have one small and one large crate if you prefer your pet to be crated during the night, though. Outdoors, I have a large, grassy, fenced in backyard which provides plenty of shady playtime and exercise for your pet. The yard is treated professionally for fleas and mosquitoes. I have balls, ropes, and frisbees for your fur babies entertainment, so no need to bring toys unless your baby has his/her own favorite ! To ensure no critters come in from outdoors, please pack your babies food in an airtight container. Don't forget the appropriate measuring cup for proper portions!

“I was skeptical to use Rover, but I had to make last-minute travel plans and my regular pet sitter was unavailable so I decided to give it a try. I was also afraid that nobody was going to want to take care of my eight dogs (mostly senior and special needs) and one cat. I contacted Amber and described all of my pets and their special needs, and she was up for the challenge. She even shared pictures and stories of her own babies to make me feel more at ease. Leaving six dogs over the age of 12, two special needs Frenchies (one deaf and one paralyzed), and one 17-year-old cat in the care of a stranger was very difficult for me to do. Upon meeting Amber, however, I was quickly put at ease. My animals immediately took to her and I could tell she was a kind, calm, gentle soul, which made leaving them easier. Amber handled all of my babies with extreme care and even read and followed my many, many pages of instructions. When she had questions, she texted or called me just like I asked. She took on the challenge of my paralyzed Frenchie like a pro - and it's not an easy job. She had to express her bladder every several hours, change her diaper, give her baths, carry her around, and give her lots of snuggles! She administered medications to my animals and gave them the various types of different food they eat. I came home to a happy, healthy crew of animals - and a new friend! I'm so happy I chose Amber and that she "chose" us. I highly recommend her and would definitely use her again!”

I learned how to train dogs as well as groom while working there. I’ve been pet sitting since I was 13, and I’m good with all animals big and small from dogs to snakes.
