“Leslie took excellent care of my senior Yorkie while I was away. She sent lots of pictures and it look like they had a lot of fun. She also did an amazing job at administering her oral medications and getting her to eat regularly. I highly recommend Leslie.”

“My pup warmed up to Melinda very quickly. This was her first time staying at someone’s house while we were gone and from the photos and videos she has a GREAT time. She even come home with a new toy! Thank you Melinda- Neli will be back!”

“Jeena was a last minute sitter I found and I don’t regret it one bit! Right off the bat I knew she was a dog person and that my dog would be safe with her, peace of mind you get instantly is priceless and I’m grateful to have found her! Thank you Jeena for keeping me updated and being super helpful; we appreciate you!”

“Our experience with Newana was amazing. She awesome with communicating and treated our Nova like her own. Nova had a blast with her family and we have the pictures to prove it. We will definitely be requesting Newana’s services again in the near future.”

“I can't thank Aldrin and Teresa enough for taking such excellent care of my baby, Alphy, on such short notice. I had to make a last-minute day trip to Dallas for a family emergency, and they made the entire process so easy and stress-free. I was a bit concerned that Alphy would be a handful since he’s such a high energy dog, but Aldrin and Teresa are incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating, and Alphy had a blast playing and burning off all that energy! When I picked him up, he was happy, tired, and clearly well-loved. It’s evident that they truly care for the dogs they watch. I highly recommend Aldrin and Teresa to anyone looking for a reliable, loving place for their pet.”

“Miss Renee was amazing she kept me updated with my fur baby and sent pics I strongly recommend her for all your fur baby care and will use her from here on out Thank u Miss Renee u rock!!!”
“Samantha is amazing! I've booked her for multiple, multi-day boarding and my baby, Kyrie LOVES his time with her and her family. I highly recommend her services. We'll be booking play dates just because going forward ☺️🐶.”

“Aaliyah and Remi have always been wonderful hosts and we have booked with her several times! Her pup-dates are fun and our dog always has a great time. Highly recommend!”

“I left my two pups with Grayson for over a week; it being the first time I did not take my boys to a boarding facility (that I worked at) and one of them having some special needs, I was relatively nervous. From the first message, to meeting Grayson and his partner, I was put at ease and knew my boys would be in good hands. They asked all the right questions and answered all of mine. As far as the stay itself, I have never seen my boys looking so content with us away. My dogs are quirky, but Grayson took that in stride and I'm grateful to have gotten so lucky in finding a great sitter. Communication was excellent and photos were adorable. I will 100% be reaching out to Grayson first for any future care I'll need for my boys and recommending him to all my friends. Sincerely, a worry wort and quasi-helicopter dog mom.”

About: Furbabies have been a part of my whole life. I have a winier dog, 18 years young. Have him since he was a baby. I have a blue nose pitbull, 10 years. Have her since she was a baby too. Love them so much. Will treat yours as I do mine.. lots of love and care. I work from home. My hours are very flexible. No weekend work so I’m more flexible those days. All I need is a days notice. Both my furbabies are indoor babies. No crates. Since I work from home they are free to roam the house but they choose to stay close to me.
“Donna is hand down the best. She sends updates & pictures multiple times throughout the day & does so many fun activities with the dogs and even sending home crafts they made. My dog has such a great time when she’s here. I’m so grateful for the care Donna provides.”

“We were nervous considering this would have been the first time leaving our dog. Mark was wonderful; he allowed us to dona test visit with Gambit and see how thing would go. Our dog had a wonderful time and was very comfortable; maybe a little too comfortable I wasnt sure he’d want to come back. Definitely would recommend.”

“We left our golden retriever and pug with Jennifer for about a week and we're well taken care of. She sent photos of the dog's and any updates. She is very accommodating. Will definitely use her services again.”

“Michael was great! He took care of our dog for 3 nights and we received pictures everyday. We haven't boarded our dog much before but we could tell Beau was happy and felt comfortable. We will definitely book with Michael again!”

“Julia was a great sitter. She made us feel that we had no worries. It was our dog's first time away from home with a sitter and Julia sent us updates and pics. I would without a doubt use Julia again when needed. Thank you again very much for taking care of our Bailee!”

I couldn't be happier with the care Charlie received! From the very beginning, Katia was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. It was clear Charlie felt comfortable, loved, and well cared for throughout the entire stay. I received several pictures and videos, and in all of them Charlie was happily playing. I highly recommend Katia to anyone looking for an exceptional dog sitter. I will definitely book with her again! Thank you Katia!

We can’t say enough good things! She was extremely responsive and an incredible home for Woody while we travelled for the long weekend. Brittani send us pictures throughout our time away, and Woody seemed to be having the best time. We are so lucky to have found Brittani.

Bertha made my first time using Rover amazing, she everything stress free with a meet and greet prior, handling their special food, and daily updates with pictures of our 2 girls Ellie and Snooki 💛. They were living truly their best lives! We will definitely be rebooking with Bertha for our future vacations 10/10 highly recommend! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
