“Zachary was communicative, friendly, and understanding! Our flight was delayed and he made sure to adjust our booking and didn’t give us a hard time for the inconvenience! Maize looked like she was having a ball the entire time!”

“Michael has looked after our dog Coop numerous times in the past year. Always sends us daily pictures/videos to let us know how Coop was doing and he seems to have a great time every time. He is also very flexible with pickup/drop off times. Highly recommend Michael to anyone else looking for a dog sitter for long vacations / short weekends.”

“We were nervous considering this would have been the first time leaving our dog. Mark was wonderful; he allowed us to dona test visit with Gambit and see how thing would go. Our dog had a wonderful time and was very comfortable; maybe a little too comfortable I wasnt sure he’d want to come back. Definitely would recommend.”

“Leslie did an amazing job taking care of our dog Optimus. She kept in contact and sent us several photos. She even took him for a pup cup at Starbucks. We hope to use her again in the future”

“Kathy is the best. Thank you Kathy for taking the best care of Gucci. He looked like really enjoyed your company and cute friends. I do appreciate that you provided the best care and love for my dog.”

About: Furbabies have been a part of my whole life. I have a winier dog, 18 years young. Have him since he was a baby. I have a blue nose pitbull, 10 years. Have her since she was a baby too. Love them so much. Will treat yours as I do mine.. lots of love and care. I work from home. My hours are very flexible. No weekend work so I’m more flexible those days. All I need is a days notice. Both my furbabies are indoor babies. No crates. Since I work from home they are free to roam the house but they choose to stay close to me.
“Denise was amazing with my Dolce! Super reliable and kept me updated with pictures every day! My dog came back happy, and clearly well cared for. It’s such a relief to have someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring to count on. I’ll definitely be booking with Denise again!”

“First time using Rover was better than we could have expected. We did have anxiety about leaving our baby for the first time but Nickia made it easy especially in the beginning with the texts & photo. Those definitely put us at ease and made us comfortable.”

“Melinda is so professional and great with Krash! He can be a bit of a handful and high energy and she handles him so well. She was even super gracious to me when I had travel complications and was a few hours late to pick him up. 10/10 recommend Melinda”

“Virginia was great! She even let us meet before our dogs stay with her. She was very communicative and flexible on drop off and pick up. She sent photos of our pup every day. We don't usually like leaving our dog but she made it us more than comfortable with it.”

“omg this by far has been bella’s best dog sitter. Leslie was more than amazing with bella. Everyday we got updated and made me feel at ease on our trip! i will 100% rebook if she is available for bella.”

“Julia was super easy to coordinate with, and took good care of my dog Jillie for a couple of nights. There was another dog at her house, which isn’t a huge deal, but I hadn’t realized would be the case and would’ve been good to know in advance. Jillie came home very tuckered out, but overall seemed happy. Julia clearly loves animals!”

I couldn't be happier with the care Charlie received! From the very beginning, Katia was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. It was clear Charlie felt comfortable, loved, and well cared for throughout the entire stay. I received several pictures and videos, and in all of them Charlie was happily playing. I highly recommend Katia to anyone looking for an exceptional dog sitter. I will definitely book with her again! Thank you Katia!

Bertha made my first time using Rover amazing, she everything stress free with a meet and greet prior, handling their special food, and daily updates with pictures of our 2 girls Ellie and Snooki 💛. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
