For boarding: I’m currently telecommuting from home. In the mornings (8:30am-9:30am) I get up and take my pup and that days visitor out to potty. Then food time then potty again. Then it’s work time. So dogs normally sleep in a kennel at night. During the day dogs normally play in the front room or hang out with me in my office. I have a dog door so they use that while I’m work. If their not in my office with me, then every couple of hours I’ll check on them and have play time and potty break. After work we do play time inside. And then food if they get fed twice and potty again after food. Then more pets and then bed time. Pickup can be anytime between 9am and 11:30pm most days. Please Note: I will occasionally have planned activities outside the house which will take me away from the house ~1-5 hours depending on what the activity is. Your pet will still have access to go in and out the dog door and access to the water bowl. I do make sure everyone goes out before I leave for the activity and right after I get back. I try to work with pet parents if the request pick up and drop off time needs to change, but occasionally the new request pick up or drop off time I may not be available or I might be delayed due to a previous planned activity or commitment. Such as I might have a dog drop in visit at your newly requested pickup time. But I try my best to work with everyone’s schedule. For house visits: Schedule before or after work is best for me, though I can do lunch time sometime if I don’t have meetings. I don’t work Friday-Sunday so anytime is fine those days.

Boarding: I have a dog run with a dog door. So I make sure they get used to it to go in and out. If they don’t like that then I take them on leash to the back yard. They get pets, playtime, treats (if there allowed). Drop in visit: Make sure door is secure and closed before opening kennels so no one escapes. Let pups out to go outside, feed, let outside, pets, playtime, more pets, outside and repeat until the time is up. I also make sure the water bowl is full before I leave.

How well do your dogs get along with small dogs? Are they up to date on shots? Is your dogs crate trained? Are they allergic to anything? How much do you feed your pet? How oftain do you feed your pet? Is your dog nervous/scared/excited/shy/other around new people or places? Does your pet like toys? Does your pet create wholes in stuffed toys quickly? If so I’ll make sure to put up those durning the stay. Does your pet chew on furniture? Has your dog had fleas or ticks in the past month? Is your pet taking any medication? What is your vets contact information? Is their anything I need to know about them before I watch them? Does your dog mark on furniture?
A typical day
While visiting your pup will enjoy cuddles on the couch, playing fetch/tug, getting some treats, and playing with my dog tucker. If I have my agility training equipment out we may try some if they need something more to get their energy out.

Pet care experience
Hi I'm a certified dog trainer with a sheltie at home that is super friendly. He has free rain of the house during the day and run in and out of the dog door to play outside while I'm working. Then we have playtime at night. We're more than happy to have you come and visit our little heard. I have a good size house with access to the dog run while I’m working. Dog door connects to dog run. When I’m at home I’ll take them out back to the yard for running play time. If your interested about dog training let me know and we can talk about different options and pricing. NOTE: I won't sit aggressive dogs and I prefer pets that are spayed/neutered. Please no dogs with fleas, ticks, or other critters on them. Make sure your pets are up to date on their vaccinations. (canine parvovirus, distemper, canine hepatitis, rabies, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Borrelia burgdorferi and Leptospira bacteria). Also make sure your dog is updated on their heart-worm medication. I will not sit dogs that are heart-worm positive or parvovirus positive. Thanks.
Reviews

Clair takes great care of our little poodle every time.

Clair makes my spoiled pup feel right at home. Unlike everywhere else, he doesn’t panic at drop off. I knew he was in good hands and can relax knowing he’s in her care.

I highly recommend Clair if you have a spoiled Velcro dog like mine. Her dog sitting set up is the next best thing to home, complete with couches to lounge on and a doggy door for potty breaks. She is very knowledgeable of dog behavior and understands their signals and needs. I picked up a happy dog after a weekend stay.

Clair was great with Coco and very easy to communicate with. I felt comfortable knowing Coco was in good hands!
