“Lauren and her family took wonderful care of my little Zelda. From the get go Lauren was understanding about my concerns working with a stranger. She facilitated a meet and greet for us and answered all my questions. When our vacation came she made sure to give me daily updates and pictures which helped me feel comfortable that my furbaby was being well cared for. I will definitely use her again!!!”

“This was my first experience using anyone but family to watch our pets! And all I can say is that I will be definitely using this service again! Alan was amazing! Our dogs came home super happy and extremely tired. They were played out! They sent 20+ pictures while we were out of town. They had such a good time. They were definitely fun folks. Who LOVE pups! I was extremely satisfied! I definitely want them to stay there again!”

“Lisa is an exceptional option for dog boarding! She watched over both of our dogs during a long weekend with family and we never worried once about the care they were receiving. She is extremely easy to work with and very flexible. Our dogs came home happy and healthy (even the 14 year old little chihuahua). We will definitely be booking with Lisa again in the future!”

“As always Natalia and her family were amazing with our dogs. One dog developed an infection from a surgery he’d had a couple of weeks before and they helped me with taking him to the emergency vet and helping with his medication. My dogs come home so happy and relaxed after playing with their dogs and being spoiled with hugs. I can’t recommend Natalia enough. Thank you!”

“Melinda and her family were amazing with our dog, Ghost. We had a long holiday trip, and during that time Ghost was very well taken care of and felt right at home. Melinda and her family were very caring and accommodating. Truly an exceptional sitter, we would definitely consider leaving Ghost with her again.”

“Highly recommend Aldrin and Teresa! They took very good care of my baby Kira and sent lots of updates and cute pictures. She looked so cozy and had all the comforts of being at home. I didnt have to worry about her one bit while I was out of town. Will book again! Thank you! ❤️”

“Max is very good with dogs. He took very good care of my daughter’s dog who usually would exhibit moderate to severe separation anxiety whenever he’s left with unfamiliar persons( sitters) or unfamiliar environments ( boarding). He was very calm and happy during his stay here. He also took him out for walks as temperatures permitted. Thank you!”

“My dog was so happy to have stayed with Cindy at Love Puppy 2, she did not want to leave. Cindy absolutely does an awesome job! My German shepherd is very active & this place has the space for her to roam around in the front or back yard. Also, my dog was glad she was able to play with some new friends.”

“Valerie was Amazing. She greeted Kevin and I at the door and from our first interaction, I felt comfortable about leaving my Dogson in her care. Valerie was quick to address any concerns that I had and she kept me updated with photos. I will definitely be a repeat customer.”

“Moira had a wonderful time at Andres place and got a chance to make some new friends. Andres kept me updated and sent lots of photos, I even went home with some Polaroids from her stay which was a lovely touch. Would def have Moira stay with Andres again.”

“Oh wow, where do i start? i love her speedy communication, for one. She was able to get my puppy same day i booked. Walking in is literally a puppy daycare and i instantly knew my puppy would be just fine, she slowly adjusted my pup to the other dogs to ensure her safety and making sure everybody got along. I got updates the entire time my pup was there, they did artwork, played outside, and a bunch of more fun activities. My puppy will definitely be back”

Leslie took amazing care of my Doberman, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we met, it was clear she genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. She was reliable, attentive, and kept me updated, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. My Doberman came home happy, healthy, and well cared for. It’s not easy trusting someone with your dog, but Leslie exceeded all of my expectations. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring, and professional to watch their pets. Thank you, Leslie, for taking such great care of my dog!

I had a wonderful experience boarding my dog, Pawla. I appreciated the regular updates, and how comfortable they made her feel during her stay. Pawla came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would absolutely trust her to board Pawla again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable pet boarding.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
