“Ramses has an amazing experience this weekend! She sent me lots of updates, pictures, and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. She took such great care of my baby and treated him like her own. I’m truly grateful and would 100% recommend her.”

“Laci was wonderful! You can tell she loves dogs since she has three of her own. She asked questions to ensure my dog’s needs would covered. My senior dog Quinton enjoyed his stay as evidenced by the pictures she sent of him! I had no worries while I was away and she was quick to respond to all texts! I would recommend Laci to anyone in need of a dog sitter!!”

“This was my first time using a doggy sitter service for my Doxie baby! I don’t know who was more nervous- me or Honey, but I couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch my baby. She kept me updated regularly, even though I didn’t even have to ask. She asked questions., but most of all she just loved her! She took her everywhere. She even got her toy when apparently my dog grabbed it out of her hand at the store. 😂 ( I gave her permission to take her wherever she went because she loves car rides! ❤️) ; the pictures showed just how happy my baby was in her home. If you need someone to watch your pup, I highly recommend her!”

“My dog is usually a huge mommas boy but he has never been so excited to go somewhere! First time I’ve left him and not been sad!! I got the happiest, funniest, most candid photos of him. He genuinely looked like he had a blast 24/7. This made my heart so happy!! When I picked him up, they gave the most accurate description of his personality, I was cracking up! We are absolutely going to be seeing Nyree again!!”

“Lauren and her family took wonderful care of my little Zelda. From the get go Lauren was understanding about my concerns working with a stranger. She facilitated a meet and greet for us and answered all my questions. When our vacation came she made sure to give me daily updates and pictures which helped me feel comfortable that my furbaby was being well cared for. I will definitely use her again!!!”

“As always Natalia and her family were amazing with our dogs. One dog developed an infection from a surgery he’d had a couple of weeks before and they helped me with taking him to the emergency vet and helping with his medication. My dogs come home so happy and relaxed after playing with their dogs and being spoiled with hugs. I can’t recommend Natalia enough. Thank you!”

“Jaylon was very responsive during the booking process, provided a detailed questionnaire in preparation for the dog sitting and provided daily updates on the status of our dog while we were out of town.”

“Mrs. Leslie has done it again! Juju spent Christmas week at Mrs. Leslie's house and Juju enjoyed herself. Juju loves going over to see Mrs. Leslie and her family. Juju walks in her house like it's her second home. I feel so comfortable and relaxed leaving her with Mrs. Leslie. If you are looking for an excellent sitter, Mrs Leslie is definitely it.”

“This is my first time using this app, and I can say with all certainty I will not be looking for anyone else. These guys were absolutely amazing. From their price to their overall for animals, is fantastic. From the time I dropped my dog off the time I picked them up they sent me millions of photos and videos like I requested of them playing and napping throughout the day. These guys are professionals, have a beautiful home and backyard and a love for all pets. I genuinely cannot stress enough how amazing this experience was my dog loved it there and I’m sure yours will too. Already have my dogs next stay booked with them!!!!”

“Denise is a great pet sitter! She let me do a meet & greet before booking to help us feel comfortable. She was patient with my dog who is skittish with new people. She sent good pictures and updates throughout my dog’s stay. She had a nice home and a fenced-in yard that my dog enjoyed. Denise is kind and responsible and after my first booking with her, I would definitely book with her again and recommend her to others!”

“Wonderful experience! She took great care of Aimee and kept me updated throughout her stay. Aimee was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated the attention and care she received, and I would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“My Cooper so enjoyed her visit with Teresa. Teresa was very accommodating to all of our needs and so enjoyed the environment and attention while she stayed with Teresa!”

“Wonderful experience! Emma sent loads of pictures, updates, and my dog really didn’t want to leave! Emma is the epitome of calm assertive energy and all the dogs love her. She is very attentive and quick to respond to any of my questions. I trust her completely!!”

“As always, Diana and her family down not disappoint. The only way I wouldn’t send my Roscoe is if they were not available for the dates needed. They are truly a blessing.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog carer! Cathy is reliable, attentive, and truly treats my dog as if they were their own. I felt at ease knowing my pup is in such caring hands. Daily updates and photos kept me reassured, and it’s clear my dog was happy, safe, and well-loved the entire time. I would highly recommend Cathy to anyone looking for a trustworthy and wonderful dog sitter! Thank you once again Cathy.”

“Raphael and her husband welcomed my little Bailey into their home and treated him like their own. I was nervous dropping him off but I was provided with pictures and updates that made me feel at ease with leaving him there. They were very accommodating, I would recommend booking.”

“This was my first experience with Rover. I selected Lucyna because of her reviews and location. I took my very active German Shorthair Puppy over for a meet and greet. He and Lucyna’s German Shepherd hit it off immediately after their sniff and meet. Lucyna and I agreed it would be a good fit. We left our dog for two nights. Lucyna kept me updated on how my dog was doing including cute pictures. She took both dogs for walks (not an easy chore considering their size and energy level). She treated my dog as one of their family. When we picked him up he was “sort of” happy to see us. My surprise! I thought he would be head over heels! He obviously loved and felt loved by their family and dog. And because they played constantly, he came home and immediately napped. A good sign. Definitely recommend Lucyna to take care of your favorite canine. This was the first time our dog had been away from us and now I can feel comfortable traveling while I leave our dog at his new home away from home. Also I must add how impressed I am with her immediate response to my texts. Highly recommend, and thanks Lucyna! And Rover.”

We left our dog with Elaine for a long weekend, and she was absolutely fantastic. From the first message, she was professional and made us feel completely comfortable about leaving our pup in her home. Elaine welcomed our dog into her house like one of her own, and it really showed in the updates she sent throughout the trip. She kept us in the loop with photos and messages, letting us know how he was eating, playing, and settling in, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Her home was clean, safe, and clearly set up with dogs in mind, and our pup looked relaxed and happy in every picture. When we picked him up, he was calm, content, and clearly well loved…not stressed out at all, which says everything about the care he received with Elaine. We’re so grateful we found Elaine and will definitely be bringing our dog back to stay with her for future trips. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and attentive dog sitter.

I am so grateful for the wonderful care our yorkie received this past weekend with Emma. It's always a relief to know my energetic granddog was in such capable and loving hands. I truly appreciate the regular updates and charming pictures that kept me connected. My granddog seemed so happy and well-cared for upon our return. I highly recommend Emma to anyone seeking a reliable and attentive pet caregiver.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
