“Lauren was FANTASTIC!! I really appreciate all the pictures and videos she sent and I could tell that Ranger was having so much fun! She was super responsive and it was a great experience. Thank you!!!!”

“As always, Diana and her family down not disappoint. The only way I wouldn’t send my Roscoe is if they were not available for the dates needed. They are truly a blessing.”

“I always have a hard time leaving my girl Callie, but I knew from meeting that she would be in great hands. Callie was taken care of and loved as if she was their own! I got pictures everyday though out the day that reassured me she was having the time of her life. Highly recommend Nyree and David to care for your furry loved ones!”

“I was lucky to have found such a great sitter for my dog at very last minute. Grayson was very clear on communications and gave me generous amount of updates for a short stay Charlie had. It appears he’s very accommodating to specific needs for each dog. Charlie can’t wait to have another sleepover with him again!”

“Bear was well taken care of and came back happy. Mike and Abby provided cute photo updates while we were traveling, which was really appreciated. Highly recommend!”

“Aimee is a triple A Amazing, Awesome,& Attentive. Aimee gave my Kano all her attention and love !! Kano was absolutely spoiled in my eyes. She is very respectful laid back and understanding. I was kept updated throughout his stay. Kano and I will most definitely be seeing her in the near future. I Love her family !! Kano does too! We are so grateful for them.”

“Blake is the Best!! Our Koda absolutely LOVES him! He sent us pics and updates throughout Koda's stay with him, which we really appreciated. We didn't have to worry about a thing knowing our pup was in Blakes care. He is our 'Go-To' when we need a sitter. Highly recommend!!”
“Impeccable service, my little Jaxx can be a handful, he is an only child lol. We didn’t know how he would behave, but Ms Yvette put our minds at ease, she was patient and kind and Jaxx finally eased into the boarding family. We were away for 8 days and received lovely updates and videos, and our boy looked happy on each update. Also, we booked last minute and extended our pickup by one day and we were grateful she accommodated us with kindness and grace. Sincerely we are so happy to have found this wonderful boarding home! We highly recommend and will use again.”

“This was my first time using this service, and app so I was very nervous since Kash is my babe. However, I was quickly relieved when I saw that Emma was taking good care of him, she was amazing she kept me updated with Kash everyday as well as sent pictures daily so I was able to see him. Overall Emma did great and I would definitely recommend her and will be using her again.”

“Chaka is absolutely fantastic! She looked after Zoey while I was away on business and provided incredible care. I loved getting the daily check-ins and photo updates—it really put my mind at ease. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Heidi did a great job! She sent us photo updates throughout our cat’s stay and even went out of her way to get treats to help our lil guy feel more comfortable. She was timely and flexible with pickup/drop off times. Overall, great experience. Would definitely recommend!”

“First time Rover user and I’m so pleased with my experience! Kiki was so kind and understanding of my anxiety of leaving my dog with a sitter. She sent lots of pictures and even bought him a new toy to use when he comes to visit since most of her toys were for big dogs. I knew my quirky weirdo dog was in good hands after the meet and greet. She has a warmness for dogs that’s apparent when you meet her. 5 stars from me and Stoney!”

“First time using Rover and I couldn’t be happier. My JRT spent a week with Samantha and Ryan and was very well taken care of. I had daily updates and picture. They where very responsive when I texted for updates. Will definitely use them again!!”

“From the initial meet and greet, my Belgian Malinois 1 1/2 year old puppy took to Trudie and her husband, (also a trainer). Anyone that know Mals, know they are extremely active and energetic. I was worried if she would be too much work. They spent time getting to know Raven so that when I left her 2 days later, she was at ease at her "vacation"home. The back yard is fenced in well, outdoor kennels, and play space. Trudie has excellent communication, photos, and updates and fair prices! They said Raven was sweet, so that tells me she was comfortable with them. I will definitely book again, and the drop off and pick up were seamless. These are dog lovers, and Raven got to meet their dog on the intro visit. THANK YOU!!!☆☆☆☆☆”

“We had our little Oliver stay with Kathya for 15 days. We got daily updates in the form of photos and videos and he had a really good time. We have previously boarded Oliver at a pet resort and we got him back stressed and he didn’t want to eat for days. We will never board Oliver at a pet resort again. Kathya was awesome!!!!”

“Cynthia was great. Always responded quickly. My baby girl seemed to have a good time. My doggy took a poop as soon as we arrived to Cynthias and she took care of it quickly and didn’t mind at all. I’m hoping she’ll be available the next time I go out of town. Cynthia also had another dog on premise and Alizé got along with her perfectly. 10/10, definitely recommend.”

“Dunte took amazinggggg care of my 2 babies! She even had 2 real beds for them to sleep in lol I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again!”

“We recommend Jessica through & through! She took care of our three dogs (a GSD, a mini golden doodle, & a golden retriever puppy) for 2 weeks while we were out of the country. We asked for daily updates and she sent pics or vids every day of our travels which made us feel very reassured that our babies were enjoying themselves. She is very sweet and easy to work with. We will definitely be booking with her again and recommending her to other pawrents!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
