About: I have been on Rover for about 4 years since I moved to DFW. I have also owned 2 English bulldogs. I have experience raising a puppy and I currently have a 5 year old, male English Bulldog. I would LOVE to take care of your fur baby!! I currently work a full-time job but I’m happy to make time to care for your fur babies! I am available for cat/dog sitting around Cedar Hill during weekdays and outside of Cedar Hill on the weekends :) I have experience with senior pets and puppies, from low energy to high energy level. Please include detailed descriptions of medication or conditions, if any.
About: Fur babies are family! They need love and patience. Growing up I had a Pekingese for 13 years and then a poodle mix for 12 years. So I learned at an early age the responsibility of caring for the family pet. My first adult pet was a mini lob rabbit which I had for 10 years. It had some medical issues in which required regular care from the local vet. A few years ago I was introduced to Great Danes and immediately fell in love! Zoe, my twelve year old Dane lived her best life. She went to parks, family gatherings, car rides, camping. She passed away last year at the age of 12 1/2. I am not ready for another pet just yet and now that I have some free time I would love to give others the sense of security by playing, loving and caring for their pet. I'm recently retired and have a flexible schedule. With that flexibility I have the opportunity to check on your pets or provide over night care with short notices. I have a fenced yard with lots of room for your pet to lay in the sun, run, stretch and play! For over night stays a crate might be beneficial depending on your pets behavior and comfort. For day to day visits I will respect your property and pet and follow your guidelines to ensure our pet friendly visit is successful.
About: Hey there! I’ve been pet sitting for over a decade and have experience caring for animals of all kinds—whether they have fur, feathers, or scales. While I primarily care for dogs and cats, I’m also very comfortable with birds, reptiles, and other non-traditional pets. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy building trust with every animal I care for. If you have a unique pet or specific needs, I’d be happy to help! Though I work full time, I involve pet care in my every day routine. If I'm up, they're up, if I'm outside, they're outside. I live an active lifestyle. I incorporate them in my daily life, so if they are a dog that enjoys walking, I incorporate that into my routine. If they’re a couch potato then we will be couch potatoes together.

About: Howdy! I am a 1st year veterinary student at Texas A&M with one year of full-time technical experience in small animal medicine and many years of part-time work, shadowing, and ownership of companion animals. Your pets are the heart of why I’m still in school, and I’d love to help families out while I pay my way through school! I’d love to partner with you to make sure your pets live enriched, healthy lives! I am currently in school full-time till the first of May, but have much more availability opening up during the summer. My weekends allow me a lot of flexibility and my schedule can be variable, so if a last minute walk or check-in during a week day is needed, I’ll try by best to be there! I take time to get to know each pet’s routine, personality, and needs; whether that means an energetic walk, a potty break, feeding, playtime, or quiet companionship. I always prioritize safety, comfort, and positive reinforcement to ensure pets feel happy and well cared for while you’re away.
“Lauren did a great job. My dog was excited to go out walking with her each day. A dogs reaction to someone is a true measure of how good of a job they did. I will choose Lauren again next time I go out of town!”

“What a Wonderful Walker! Jillian was very responsive, courteous, and made sure Luckey was attended to in my absence. This is exactly how I was hoping the process would work. Highly recommend!”

About: I've had a number of animals since the age of 4. From birds, and fish to Cats, dogs, and rabbits! I have always had a cat or dog in my home and I LOVE ANIMALS!!! I have house sat & boarded pets for 8 years now for friends, family, and neighbors. I treat them like my own and ensure that they're fed, get walked, lots of rubs, and everything I can to keep their usual routine! I'm currently not working and want to do something I love to stay busy. I have an open schedule to handle all your pets needs. I stay in a very spacious 3 bedroom home with yard space where they have plenty of room to roam. There are also parks near to release their energy. I currently have an open schedule. I always update my schedule to reflect any changes. I am very flexible at the moment. Once I have a pet job in place I try to focus on the pet/pets. It honestly depends on the animal. Different animals react differently with new people and different environments. If there's a shy dog, I like to let them come to me and lead with a gentle and dismissive approach. I would encourage them to play or come for pets, but I would not force it because that is not their comfort level. Another may be a big ball of energy and thrive on fun, pets, and praise. I like to make sure they're comfortable and happy.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for my own two dogs, which has given me a strong understanding of daily routines, exercise needs, and the importance of consistent, loving attention. Beyond my own pets, I’ve also helped families by dog sitting for both short and extended periods, caring for dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, administering basic care, going on walks, and making sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re my own, giving them the attention, patience, and care they deserve. I am a sourdough home baker so I work from home and have plenty of time to schedule what works best for your babies. I’m flexible with my schedule and can usually accommodate any requested time. My puppies have their own little space with toys, blankets, and their pillows. I have a Furbo camera to check on them and get updates on their day if I’m out of town. I’m mindful of your home, keeping everything clean, secure, and just as you left it, so you can relax knowing both your pet and space are in good hands.

I am also familiar with giving dogs any medication if needed.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
