“Isabella was amazing! One of the best dog sitters so far! I highly recommend this person, I am constantly updated on photos and when she’s coming to my house to let my dog out… I have no complaints! I highly recommend Isabelle… Outstanding work!”
“Jessica did an amazing job taking care of my three cats. Prior to the scheduled drop-ins, she took it upon herself to do a meet and greet with my cats, which was very important to us. For the scheduled visits, she dropped in twice a day for five days, followed all instructions perfectly, and made sure Gary, Sandy, and Mindy were fed properly, played with, and comfortable while we were out of town. She sent updates and photos during every visit, which I appreciated so much. I highly recommend and will definitely book with her again! ☺️”

“I can’t thank Angela enough for the wonderful job she did walking my dog, Cash, this weekend! She was prompt, professional, and so caring with him. Angela went above and beyond by not only taking great care of Cash but also sending me updates and adorable pictures that documented her visit. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Cash looked so happy in every photo, and it’s clear Angela genuinely loves what she does. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful dog walker!”

About: Fur babies are family! They need love and patience. Growing up I had a Pekingese for 13 years and then a poodle mix for 12 years. So I learned at an early age the responsibility of caring for the family pet. My first adult pet was a mini lob rabbit which I had for 10 years. It had some medical issues in which required regular care from the local vet. A few years ago I was introduced to Great Danes and immediately fell in love! Zoe, my twelve year old Dane lived her best life. She went to parks, family gatherings, car rides, camping. She passed away last year at the age of 12 1/2. I am not ready for another pet just yet and now that I have some free time I would love to give others the sense of security by playing, loving and caring for their pet. I'm recently retired and have a flexible schedule. With that flexibility I have the opportunity to check on your pets or provide over night care with short notices. I have a fenced yard with lots of room for your pet to lay in the sun, run, stretch and play! For over night stays a crate might be beneficial depending on your pets behavior and comfort. For day to day visits I will respect your property and pet and follow your guidelines to ensure our pet friendly visit is successful.

About: Howdy! I am a 1st year veterinary student at Texas A&M with one year of full-time technical experience in small animal medicine and many years of part-time work, shadowing, and ownership of companion animals. Your pets are the heart of why I’m still in school, and I’d love to help families out while I pay my way through school! I’d love to partner with you to make sure your pets live enriched, healthy lives! I am currently in school full-time till the first of May, but have much more availability opening up during the summer. My weekends allow me a lot of flexibility and my schedule can be variable, so if a last minute walk or check-in during a week day is needed, I’ll try by best to be there! Reducing anxiety and maximizing enrichment is my primary focus whether that be a long walk/run, playing fetch/tug, or some nice pets on the couch, I’m here to adapt to your pet’s needs and make life easier for you!

About: While I’m new to professional pet sitting, I’ve cared for a family member’s dogs and cats on several occasions. I’ve helped with feeding, walks, playtime, and keeping litter boxes clean, always making sure they felt comfortable and well cared for while their owner was away. I’m responsible, attentive, and truly enjoy spending time with animals, and I’m committed to providing safe and dependable care. As a college student, I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM–2 PM, which gives me a very flexible schedule throughout the week. Outside of those hours and my part-time job, I have plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with your pets. I plan my days carefully to ensure pets receive consistent care, attention, and timely feedings, so you can feel confident they’re in reliable hands. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to their usual routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they receive timely feedings, fresh water, walks, playtime, and lots of attention while keeping their space clean and tidy. I don’t currently have a pet of my own, so my home is a calm environment, and I’m able to accommodate small to medium-sized dogs. My goal is always to provide safe, attentive, and loving care.
“This was my first time booking with Katie, and she was excellent. She communicated every step of the way and kept me fully informed. She is kind, professional, and has a great personality. I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog in her care and will absolutely book her again.”

“Alexis was a perfect match for my baby. This was my first time using Rover, and I was nervous. She was communicative, pleasant, and easy to work with. She put my mind at ease. My furbaby LOVED her. I can’t wait to use her again.”

“Felicia is amazing! She goes above and beyond with great communication and excellent care for your fur children! I felt totally at ease during my trip seeing as they were in the best hands! Thank you so much, you have a client for life”

“Gary is awesome! Even during the meet and greet I felt safe with him dropping in my home to check on Bella. He kept me up to date on how things were going with plenty of pictures and a video and ensured that other directions were followed such as closing the blinds and leaving a certain light on. I will definitely be using Gary again!”

“Kayla was WONDERFUL! It was our first time doing a drop-in visit, and she really eased my anxiety. She played with my girl, sat with her and gave her all cuddles and treats. Will be going back to her for SURE!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cedar Hill. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
