About: I have experience caring for dogs, cats, fish, hedgehogs, and plants. I am patient, attentive, reliable, and committed to following each pet’s unique routine and care instructions. I work from home and set my own hours, which gives me the flexibility to provide consistent care, attention, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions and keep pets comfortable in their familiar routine. I respect the client’s home, keep food and litter areas clean, secure doors and windows, and provide regular updates for peace of mind.
About: Hi, My name is Michael M. I just moved backed home to Miami. Since my first memories we have always owned dogs. My mom had a habit of picking up stray dogs. Her heart always broke when she saw a furry defenseless dog begging for food or needing shelter. My mom's big heart exposed me to many types of dogs all different sizes and temperament. I have been dog sitting for a while now and it's one of my favorite things to do. I am a realtor and I am able to work from home during the day while clients are working and when I am away it's for only a few hours at a time. I have a fenced yard. Like I said my dog loves social interaction with other friendly doggies and would love to find friends he could play with. I am a real estate agent with my office at home. I will be able to watch over them while they play.
About: I’ve had animals my entire life and over 8 years of hands-on pet care experience. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, helping with walks, meals, bathing, and daily routines. I also volunteer at animal shelters, which has taught me how to be patient, attentive, and calm with pets of all temperaments. I truly believe animals deserve love and care, and I treat every pet like family. I have plenty of availability at night and I am flexible with my schedule and I genuinely enjoy taking care of and spending time with animals I have a small yorkie that is super friendly with both small and big dogs, we love going on walks and to the park. still trying to get him to like the beach lol
“Michelle was an excellent sitter — 10/10! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, regularly sending updates and adorable photos of our dog, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was patient and attentive to our dog’s unique needs, giving him both the space and affection he required to feel comfortable. On top of that, she took great care of our home — everything was exactly as we left it. We feel so lucky to have found her and would absolutely book with her again!”

“I HIGHLY recommend working with Lux (Emily B.). We needed a last minute cat sitter to come do a house stay. We were hesitant about leaving because our elderly cat had recently gotten injured, but Lux kept a careful eye on them the whole time and sent regular updates and sweet photos. They are kind, communicative, responsible, and genuinely love animals. They even stayed a bit longer than required to make sure our cat had company till we got home. So thoughtful, we will definitely be working with them again!”
“Aliyah is an amazing doggie caretaker! I have 2 elderly dogs that need particular and full-time care. Aliyah understood their needs and ensured they were 100% comfortable and loved during her stay. She sent plenty of pictures and updates every day, so I was always at peace knowing both dogs were doing great. My doggies were extremely happy and content upon my return, and our house was exactly how we left it! Aliyah is top-tier and can handle complex situations. I highly recommend her and will be using her again.”

“This was my first time using River to house sit my 5 fur babies. I was scared to try it out and to trust someone who I didn't know but Ernesto was such a nice and genuine person not only to me and my family but to all my Doggies as well. He naturally has an aura to animals, and they loved him since day one. Ernesto knew it was my birthday and left me a beautiful detail on the table for me to see when I came back from my trip. Thank you Ernesto for all the love, communication, videos and photos of the doggies throughout the day and giving me peace of mind while I was away.”

“Kniaka took wonderful care of Gigi! She kept me updated with pictures and messages throughout the stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would definitely trust Kniaka with Gigi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter. Thank you so much! ❤️”

About: I've owned pets since 2013 and often dogsit my friends' dogs if they're away for an event, a weekend, or even a week at a time. I lived in Barbados for 2 years, where there are dozens of stray animals roaming the streets. I took in and rehabilitated an orange cat (featured in my photos) that has been brought to the US and is happily living in NYC with her new family. I do not have any pets in my apartment at the moment- my dog, Honey, is across the country with my mom. I have so much love to give pets and enjoy spoiling pets with the attention they deserve. The qualities I have as a graduating medical student directly translate into my care for pets- being punctual, patient, and passionate. I'm a full-time medical student with a fluctuating schedule. My weekends are free for boarding, walks, etc., but weekdays depend on my schedule for the given month. Weekday work schedule typically starts at 7am, and my availability will most often start at 5pm (or earlier some days). When I am home, I integrate my pet into everything I do. I love their company on the couch, bringing them on my daily walks, and even the puppy eyes when I’m cooking. I live with my partner in a pet-friendly condominium on the 5th floor. We have a partially-fenced yard with grass surrounding the condo and a balcony with our unit. Our front door has a double key-lock, with no possibility of a pet escaping. It is a large, 2-bedroom condo with plenty of space to roam in the open-concept living room and kitchen. There's plenty of unobstructed room for pet belongings (food, toys, bedding, etc.). I do not have any other animals living in the unit, I do not have a crate, and I love animals sleeping in the room/bed with me (if owner allows).
“Alejandra was wonderful! She had never met Balkan before and he has that puppy high energy but she handled him so well! She kept sending me updates and pictures. Will definitely work with her again!”

About: I have a genuine, deep love for all pets in this world… mine have been the most important part of my life. When my baby kitty Lenny crossed the heavenly rainbow bridge last year, Gideon and Einstein rescued me. My focus is specific and consistent: “What does your best friend need? How can I provide this need to them? Is the environment low stress? Your fur babies are so important to me because I truly understand how important they are to YOU. Having no human children myself, believe me, fur babies are EVERYTHING! I put my absolute best effort into making sure your pet feels safe and experiences the least amount of anxiety as possible. I also assist with Senior day care cleaning, shopping etc. References upon request if needed. I am available to work five days a week and weekends if necessary. I’m grateful to have a flexible schedule; I’ve earned the trust to have access into peoples’ homes to care for their animals. I treat every single animal and pet as if they were my own. I make sure to have every day fulfilled with at least a little bit of furry affection or my day just isn’t the same! I have a pet-friendly, pet-safe, pet-happy home! Making sure all the fur babies in my home have what they need is “what I DO!” My sweet cat Gideon couldn’t get more nurturing! He’s very healthy, independent and gentle with his guests”! My philosophy with my home and my animals is: When in MY care, your baby’s safety, good health, and comfort is guaranteed in the anxiety-free environment I provide. I’m extremely attentive to their individual needs, hands-on, and I work hard at that. Their are no short-cuts, no days off with my animals. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Golden Glades
We have used Elisha several times now, and she has really come in clutch when something last minute pops up. She takes very good care of our girls and we feel extremely comfortable leaving them in her care, and in our home. She continuously keeps us updated with texts and pictures. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs someone to take care of their pets!!

Frederick stayed at our house to watch my senior Doberman over the Fourth of July weekend. My dog has mobility issues, anxiety, needs frequent potty breaks, and requires a lot of hands-on care. The love, patience, and affection Frederick showed him went far beyond our expectations and anything we've experienced with previous pet sitters. Frederick was always quick to respond, very respectful, and followed all of our instructions carefully, including giving multiple medications. He also took great care of our home and left everything clean and tidy. I honestly can't recommend Frederick enough. Knowing my dog was so well cared for gave us so much peace of mind, and I wouldn't hesitate to have him stay with him again.

I cannot recommend Alyiah highly enough—she is absolutely amazing! She has been caring for my two dogs for years, and the love she has for them is truly special. She treats my pups like her own—honestly, like they’re her children—and it shows in every single thing she does. What really sets Alyiah apart is how incredible she is when one of my dogs isn’t feeling well. She goes above and beyond, making sure they’re comfortable, giving medications carefully and reliably, and providing so much extra attention and care. It gives me complete peace of mind knowing they’re in her hands. Her updates and photos are thoughtful and reassuring, and you can just feel how much she genuinely cares. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and truly exceptional, Alyiah is the BEST. Five stars isn’t enough ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a fantastic experience with Macenna. She took such warm, attentive care of my dog—it was clear from the start that my pup felt comfortable and happy. I especially appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. On top of that, my home was left spotless and well cared for. Highly recommend!

Fiona was amazing with our fur babies. We went on an extended trip for our wedding and honeymoon. Fiona sent us video and picture updates that made us feel as ease during our travels. My bulldog even got himself a girlfriend, played so well with Luna. Fiona went above and beyond I would definitely love for her to watch our babies again.

Amber did an amazing job taking care of our boys for our 2 weeks trip, first time we use a sitter for that long of a period but we didn’t have any concerns while we were overseas, she was very responsive even with a crazy 13 hours time zone difference. Will definitely keep booking Amber for our upcoming trips if she’s available.

Joalys was wonderful and communicated really well during the entire stay. This was my first time using the service to house sit and thankfully it worked out to be a great experience thanks to her. I highly recommend her services as she communicates really well and is great with animals.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Golden Glades walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Golden Glades maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Golden Glades choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Golden Glades. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
