“Leo did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of my dogs, Bentley and Abby. This was the first time I’ve ever used a dog-sitting service, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Leo was incredibly professional, attentive, and made sure my dogs were well cared for while I was away. Being away from your dogs can be stressful, and the most important thing is knowing they’re in great hands. Leo gave me that peace of mind and made the whole experience easy and reassuring. I highly recommend Leo to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. I will definitely be using him again in the future. Thanks again, Leo!”

“MaryJane is amazing. She took care of my kitty, Stark for 6 days while I traveled. He’s very sweet but shy and she got him to hang out with her and feel at home. I’m very grateful she would provide constant updates and send me pictures. I highly recommend her for you fur babies. She’s very trustworthy ?????”

“Thanks so much for taking care of the pups! I really appreciate all the walks, feedings, and everything you did to keep them happy. It gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. ladded a little extra to say thanks - you went above and beyond. We'd love to have you back again next time!”

“Audrey was really great with my cats, she took care of them, followed all the instructions, and all the time in constantly communication providing details of her drop-in visit. For sure I’ll book her again to take care of them.”

About: I have experience with boarding and walking a variety of dogs from young, untrained puppies to larger dogs. I can be relied on to check-in/walk your pets while you are at work or can take on longer multiple day stays. I’m currently a biology PhD student and my schedule currently allows for great flexibility to adapt to your pet’s needs. I’m highly communicative and excited to work with you so you feel at ease leaving your pet in my care :) I am currently a graduate student with a fairly flexible schedule that allows me to work from home if needed so I can give your pets greater attention. Otherwise, I may go in for a morning or afternoon, but have the flexibility to return home for frequent walks. I currently live with my boyfriend in Victoria Park in Ft. Lauderdale in a very pet friendly, walkable neighborhood. I’m only a couple blocks from Holiday Park where I often take any pets that come to stay with me :)
About: I’ve been walking dogs my entire life. I’m a proud pet parent to a sweet rescue pittie and multiple cats. I actively volunteer at a local animal rescue. Over the years, I’ve fostered (and sometimes foster-failed!) many pets, and I understand how much love and care our furry family members need. I also have a blind, reactive rescue dog who can be shy around new people, so I’m very comfortable working with pets who may need extra time, patience, or special attention. When your pets are with me, they’ll be treated like my own, with plenty of love, care, and belly rubs. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or a cozy cuddle session, I’ll make sure they feel safe, and happy. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to easily check in on your pets throughout the day, whether it’s for playtime, feeding, or just some extra snuggles. I’ll make sure they feel loved, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll make sure your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for in your home. I understand that some animals can be nervous or shy, so I’ll always move with care and be mindful of their space. I’m especially cautious about keeping doors securely closed and paying attention when entering or leaving to ensure your pets stay safe and sound.

About: I've owned pets since 2013 and often dogsit my friends' dogs if they're away for an event, a weekend, or even a week at a time. I lived in Barbados for 2 years, where there are dozens of stray animals roaming the streets. I took in and rehabilitated an orange cat (featured in my photos) that has been brought to the US and is happily living in NYC with her new family. I do not have any pets in my apartment at the moment- my dog, Honey, is across the country with my mom. I have so much love to give pets and enjoy spoiling pets with the attention they deserve. The qualities I have as a graduating medical student directly translate into my care for pets- being punctual, patient, and passionate. I'm a full-time medical student with a fluctuating schedule. My weekends are free for boarding, walks, etc., but weekdays depend on my schedule for the given month. Weekday work schedule typically starts at 7am, and my availability will most often start at 5pm (or earlier some days). When I am home, I integrate my pet into everything I do. I love their company on the couch, bringing them on my daily walks, and even the puppy eyes when I’m cooking. I live with my partner in a pet-friendly condominium on the 5th floor. We have a partially-fenced yard with grass surrounding the condo and a balcony with our unit. Our front door has a double key-lock, with no possibility of a pet escaping. It is a large, 2-bedroom condo with plenty of space to roam in the open-concept living room and kitchen. There's plenty of unobstructed room for pet belongings (food, toys, bedding, etc.). I do not have any other animals living in the unit, I do not have a crate, and I love animals sleeping in the room/bed with me (if owner allows).
“Stephanie was absolutely amazing! She had great communication and told me when she was leaving and had arrived each time. She also gave me details of every visit, as well as many pictures. She also was very tentative to my elderly cats needs, including giving him medicine daily. She was very respectful of my house, and asked many questions to make sure that my cat was comfortable and had the best experience while I was gone. It was very evident that she truly cared about his needs, which means a lot to me because he’s like my child. I will definitely be using Stephanie in the future.”
“Jonathan was excellent with Scotch and Soda. He was consistently punctual, attentive, and clearly enjoyed spending time with them, which gave us a great deal of confidence while we were away. Communication was prompt, and it was obvious that he genuinely cared about making sure they were comfortable and well cared for. We came home to two happy dogs, and I would absolutely book Jonathan again. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone dependable and caring.”

“Monica was amazing . The dogs loved her. She is very reliable and I love that she sent me pictures and videos and full reports about what they did,eat and more. Definitely will use her again!!!”

“Paola was great, responsive and dependable. Besides taking care of my 3 kitties and sending great reports she took care of the house and cleaned the cat’s messes, and made sure my roomba was working. So grateful that i found her! Will book again”

“Naomi and Luis were such a blessing to me and my wife. We were able to leave the city for 10 days without worrying about our babies 🐈 Naomi and Luis put a cute birthday party together to my cat, they were awesome.”

“Amazing human! She was extremely kind, detail oriented and attentive. She went above and beyond to make sure our cats were well taken care of. Don’t hesitate to book her. We will definitely be using her services again!”

“Lissett has been so great with our pups! She has helped us a few times, and we would recommend her to friends. She is always prompt, gives our fur babies plenty of love and has great communication!”

“In the 6 years Frodo has been with us, we’ve only ever had friends and family look after him while we were away. This time neither could help. Thank goodness for the Rover app which put us in touch with Dayna. I felt comfortable chatting with her and when she arrived to visit Frodo, I knew she would be perfect. They bonded instantly. I felt he would be well looked after. I was not disappointed at all. The daily check in updates and cards were wonderful. I am so glad Dayna was there to help us on such short notice. I will definitely make use of her other services, such as, socializing our Frodo and doggie day care.”

Leo took wonderful care of Socrates while I was away. Everything went smoothly, and it was such a relief to know he was in good hands. When I came home, Socrates looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Leo was kind, reliable, and clearly gave him lots of attention and care. I truly appreciated the updates and pictures received and would absolutely trust Leo to watch Socrates again. Highly recommend! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would do so without hesitation.

She did an amazing job and was very trustworthy. She took excellent care of my cat, and by the second day, my cat was already looking forward to seeing her and enjoying being petted by her. It gave me great peace of mind knowing my cat was in such good hands. I would definitely love to book her again!

Deena was fantastic and I’ll definitely be booking again! She took great care of my cat for 10 days and we didn’t have to worry about a thing the whole time. We got pictures and updates everyday! We came home to a very happy and healthy cat, thanks to Deena. 100% recommend!!

Michelle is absolutely amazing! She gave me such peace of mind and my fur babies could not have been taken better care of. She's very responsive, took the time to get my one sick baby to eat when he was NOT into it, and she sent me frame worthy pictures daily. Michelle, you're a freaking ROCK STAR 😻

Amazing experience as always. Andrea is so patient and kind with our cats. We always know they are safe and loved when we’re away. She provides the very best care during each drop-in visit and her service never feels rushed. Also very detail oriented. Happy repeat customer. ❤️

Alyiah is the best! She is very responsible and it’s always a pleasure having her as a pet sitter. My cat loves her so much! He is always so happy to see her and they have a great time together. This is our second time with Alyiah and I know I won’t find anyone better than her!

This was my first time leaving my cat in someone else’s care, and Tyler made the experience completely stress-free. He provided consistent communication, was incredibly reliable, and I felt confident enough to extend my trip thanks to him. I would absolutely use his services again and recommend him without hesitation.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
