“Heidy is always a pleasure to work with. She stayed at our apartment and watched our dog for 11 nights while we were away on our honeymoon. She will remain our go to person for our dog sitting needs!”

“Aliyah went above and beyond in taking care of my cats. My youngest fur baby instantly warmed up to her, which is quite rare! Aliyah sent me lots of photos while I was away, easing my separation anxiety. Being away from my cats is never easy, but knowing they were in such great care with Aliyah made it so much better.”

“Helene was so wonderful and helped me out on 24-hours notice to take care of my two dogs for one night. She sent pics and I know they were very happy because when I returned they both were so calm and peaecful, it was like I'd never been gone. A million thanks for your great help!”

“This is past due, but we cannot say enough good things about Jason! Our two dogs definitely have some specific needs and he is so understanding about that! Our dogs have a great time with him - even the one who is a little slow to warm up. When Jason stayed with them, he sent us lots of pictures and updates, which definitely put our minds at ease. Highly recommend Jason!!!”

“Malek took wonderful care of our 2 goldendoodles while staying at our house for the weekend. Malek followed all instructions and keep the dogs happy, safe and took great care of our house.”

“Danny did a phenomenal job watching our two dogs, three cats and one bird over the holidays while we dealt with unexpected must do travel. When we needed to extend a few days, he graciously accommodated that as well.”

“Jenny watched over our cat and our house for 3 weeks and did an absolutely wonderful job. We couldn't have been happier with her care of both the cat and the house -- including keeping us informed during a terrible storm. She's caring and has a delightful sense of humor. You should hire her.”

“Melissa took great care of my senior dog and the house while I was on a long trip. She communicated daily with photos, watered my plants and was very easy to work with. I would recommend her highly!”

“This was our second time using Phillip. We were very pleased that he was willing to take care of our dog a second time. Our dog was a little hesitant the first time but warmed up to Phillip toward the end. The second time seemed like our dog was excited to see Phillip. Phillip always kept us in the loop and sent us photos. He takes good care of our dog!”

“Shakuntala watched my dog for two nights while I was away. She was very detail oriented and organized, taking care to ensure that she had everything she needed to keep my dog happy. She checked in with photos and was overall great with communication. Would recommend!”

About: I've lived with and cared for dogs of many types and currently have the privilege of caring for my three year old hound mix rescue. I'm reliable, detail-oriented, and have a genuine love for animals. I’m generally available most nights and weekend days. I also remotely during the week and can usually provide drop in services for clients near my home. About: I have dogs of my own that I take on daily walks. I have two husky’s (11 and 6 yrs) and a pitbull I had for 13.5 yrs (she crossed the rainbow bridge). I enjoy going out for walks because I know it’s a dogs favorite time of the day. I’ve taken my friends and family’s dogs on walks while they’ve been out of town. I’m looking to walk dogs in the evening when I go for my afternoon walks around the neighborhood. There are times where I may have availability during the day as well. I’m flexible and will do my best to fit you into my schedule. I love dogs and I treat all dog as if they are my own. “India always takes great care of our pup! She proactively communicates and sends pictures to let us know how things are going. Our dog is always happy and content with her. We’ve used India a few times to house sit and would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“June stayed with Kelly for 2 nights. Kelly sent lots of updates and pictures. She took great care of June, even when June was being a bit of a handful! We would book with Kelly again.”

“Omar and Claudia are exceptional! They took excellent care of my puppy Ellie while I was away on a weekend trip. After our initial meet-and-greet, my husband and I felt comfortable and confident that my fur baby would be in good hands. Omar and Claudia are professional adults who are very polite and have kind, caring hearts. As a frequent traveler, I feel so fortunate to have met Omar and Claudia, whom I can trust, and who can give good care and love to my baby Ellie.”

“Karachi is a terrific dog sitter. She works from home so she is with Colby all the time. He loves that. She takes him for walks and has won his trust. She also is kind to us. She changed the bed and washed the sheets and towel for us. And she left the house as clean and tidy as we left it for how. We are grateful!”

“Charlie house sat for us for a week. He took amazing care of our cat and dog. Charlie was very professional and an excellent communicator. When we got home, the pets were happy and the house was immaculate. I highly recommend Charlie for pet sitting. We'll be using his services again!”

Sharon was very responsive to a last-minute dog- and puppy-sitting service request and really saved our bacon! She took great care of our 10 week puppy who is still in the middle of house training — no accidents on her watch, for which I’m very grateful. We will be repeat customers for sure.

Tsaitami was fantastic! My kitty Beanie absolutely adored their time together so much and I got updates, thorough details, and plenty of photos of her while I was away. As someone who is really nervous about being away from my animal, I was at ease the entire time and felt the communication was above and beyond. I will absolutely be recommending and rebooking!!!

We are so glad that Sophia was able to dogsit our beloved doggo. She stayed with them for two weeks at our home and sent us pics of both doggies almost every day. When our senior dog needed medical attention, she informed us promprtly and made a vet appointment as well. She was personable responsible, responsive and left the house in excellent condition. I would highly recommend Sophia to anyone who is looking for expert dogsitting, she is truly excellent in every way possible!

Shakuntala took care of my elderly dog and 2 cats (one with a serious chronic illness) while I was away for the week and spoiled all 3 in the best way! They were all showered with love and attention and were cared for exactly per my instruction. She administered meds to my cat and dog with no issues. They all warmed to her immediately, including my one cat that hides from most people. She sent me updated throughout the day so I always knew that they were happy and getting everything they needed. She stayed in my home to care for them and left the house immaculate. I think they are missing her already! I will definitely rebook - she is the best pet sitter I’ve had by far

As of June 2026, there are 10,942 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Garrett Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Garrett Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Garrett Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Garrett Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
