“Kevin came through for Kingston and me, even in the snow and ice. I appreciated his flexibility and early arrival time and from all I could see he took excellent care of Kingston. I would definitely use him again for dog-sitting.”

“Xena was great with my dog, Penny! She took great pictures and sent updates throughout the day. She communicated well and I could tell my dog was well taken care of. Thanks, Xena! 😊”

“Vicky was an excellent dog and house sitter. Very prompt and responsive. I would highly recommend her by looking for somebody to watch their dogs and or the house.”

“Rachel was able to step in and watch Riley on relatively short notice after another sitter had to cancel. She took great care of him and sent great video updates so I knew he was adjusting well!”

“Riku loves his walks with Aaliyah and I loved the regular updates I got throughout the weekend. She handled him well when he got nippy and followed all the instructions I gave. She’s wonderful!”

“We hired Lesly for a two week house sitting for our dog Junie. Since this was a long stay we needed someone that we felt we could trust and Lesly did a great job! She sent us photos almost everyday and was very fast with her communication. Despite the long stay our house was clean and organized when we returned. We would highly recommend Lesly for looking after your pets.”

“This is past due, but we cannot say enough good things about Jason! Our two dogs definitely have some specific needs and he is so understanding about that! Our dogs have a great time with him - even the one who is a little slow to warm up. When Jason stayed with them, he sent us lots of pictures and updates, which definitely put our minds at ease. Highly recommend Jason!!!”

“Malek was amazing! Both Xochi and Vinny were well taken care of and the house was left behind immaculate! Xochi and Vinny have found their go to dog sitter, highly recommend!”

“Responsible and has care taking heart. Jasper was comfortable and well taken care of. I was informed periodically about his day with her, whether his eating or sleeping or playtime.”

“Juna took great care of our cats while we were out of town for the holiday! She was very thorough in making sure she knew all the details to best care for our girls and was very communicative throughout her stay with pictures and updates along the way. Will definitely be booking again with her when we can!”

“Omar was a house sitter for our dog and cat on relatively short notice due to a sudden death of a close relative. Omar was flexible and communicated very well with us. We greatly appreciated the morning and evening pictures of both pets. Highly recommended and we will be a repeat customer.”

“Karachi is fantastic! Our pup loves her. She takes care of our home as well as we do. She is as reliable as the day is long! You could not make a better choice!”

“Alexander took care of our dog and cat in our home for a week while we were out of the country. He took great care of them, kept us up to date, and they were happy, well cared for, and adjusted when we got home. We will use him again and highly recommend.”

“Vitality B. Is fantastic pet sitter. He's responsible, dependable, and our kitties love having him around. He sends us updates and we feel very fortunate to find him through Rover. This is our first time using an app to book a pet sitter. And this is our 3rd time having Vitali here at our home. You will have peace of mind if you hire Vitali. And your pets will love him too!!”

“I simply cannot express the relief I had while traveling with Vanessa as my house/pet sitter. I have 2 cats and was babysitting my daughters cat, who arrived the day I left. Vanessa sent pics everyday of the cats snuggled with her or chilling in their fav spots! My trip was very unexpected, and it was my first time using Rover. I’ve always wary booked Vanessa again for a trip I had planned and was going to take my cat to my daughters, but it was so much more relaxing for them here in their home❤️”

About: I’ve been around dogs most of my life, having grown up with family dogs from age 13 through college. Since then, I’ve continued caring for pets by helping with my mother’s and sister’s dogs whenever needed. I also regularly care for my girlfriend’s cat and recently completed a week-long in-home cat sitting stay. I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats and enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, sticking to their routines, and making sure they feel safe and well cared for while their owners are away. I provide regular photo and message updates so you have peace of mind while you’re away I work full-time during the weekdays and am in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. I am available for house sitting, walks, and drop-in visits any day of the week. For house sitting, I can be present in the mornings, evenings, and overnight, and I ensure pets are cared for before and after my work hours. For walks and drop-ins, I am available evenings, and weekends, and can accommodate consistent routines. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, consistency, and respect for both the pet and the home. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, and any specific household rules. I make sure pets feel comfortable by keeping their routine as normal as possible and giving them attention based on their personality and needs. I also keep the home clean and organized and treat it with the same respect I would my own. For peace of mind, I stay communicative and provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Garrett Park
Came home to a relaxed and happy pup, as well as a spic and span home. Not only that but Tsai left beautiful calming meditation music on to keep Oshie company, as well as welcoming me home into my space. Always a pleasure, will call on Tsaitami again in the future!

Alexander did a great job while catsitting and housesitting! He was appropriately communicative -- not too much, not too little -- and my cat looked very relaxed and at ease in all of the photos he sent. I appreciated that he asked appropriate questions during our meet and greet, helping me to fill in details of my cat's care and where to find things in the house that I might have otherwise forgotten to mention. I returned home to a tidy place and a happy cat!

We never had to worry about how our golden was doing on our 2 week long trip. I really appreciated the updates and pictures Jessica sent every day. You can tell she really loves animals and is trustworthy, responsible and goes above and beyond! I will definitely reach out to her in the future whenever we need an in-home dog sitter!

Christina is an amazing pet sitter! She went above and beyond in pet care not just doing the instructions we left, but going out of her way to find other ways to make my pets happy. You can tell that she really cares about animals. She was also incredibly communicative sending updates and pictures and letting me know how everything was going. On top of all that she also left the house cleaner than when we left! I would absolutely recommend Christina to anyone looking for a pet sitter.

Ashira is just wonderful. My 13 year old blind dog isn’t always keen on new people - but the moment Ashira walked in the door, Tracker went right to her! Tracker has special needs with respect to walking and medication and Ashira handled that all perfectly. Tracker was happy and so well cared for it has really eased our mind about going away and we will be booking with Ashira again! Also, my house was cleaner than when I left it!

We had a great experience and would definitely use her again! She took wonderful care of our dogs and our home while we were away. She was very polite, communicative, and thoughtful throughout our trip. She also checked in multiple times to see if there was anything else we needed her to take care of while we were gone. We didn’t end up needing anything additional, but we really appreciated her offering and knowing she was happy to help. We came home to happy dogs and a well-cared-for home. Highly recommend!

Shakuntala took excellent care of our cat Marley while we were away for an extended vacation. At the meet and greet prior to our trip she asked detailed questions regarding our cats routine. She provides frequent updates regarding feeding, medication, and general status of your pet. Updates frequently include adorable photos of your pet too. :) We can tell Marley had a wonderful time with her and the peace of mind knowing our cat was being well cared for was invaluable.

Jason was great - clearly a dog lover. He was open for being a bit of a test run for Artie staying somewhere overnight that wasn't our house for the first time. He was very communicative, and even drove Artie back to us when we got home a little later than we were expecting.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Garrett Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Garrett Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Garrett Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
