About: I love all animals and grew up with dogs, both rescues, one big one small. Although I don’t have a pet of my own now, Rover gives me the chance to give care and spend time with the furry friends that give us unconditional love. I’m currently working freelance so I have the flexibility of making my own schedule, and time to spend giving attention to your pets and whatever needs they have. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe in their own space. My first priority is to make your dog or cat feel comfortable with me.

“I highly recommend Jeannette to anyone looking for someone to walk their furry friends! She has been part of our routine for a year now and provides M-F walks for my feisty and funny poodle. My pooch loves Jeannette and is excited to see her every time. She gets full-body wags! Jeannette knows dogs and is savvy with the weather. She always has water available on play dates and lets me know if she spots anything of concern with my pooch. Jeannette is reliable and trustworthy. Oh, and as an added bonus, she also offers boarding service. I can't say enough good things! Jeannette is amazing!!!”

About: I’ve had multiple years of experience with senior dogs, pets needing help with medication, or energetic pets requiring lots of play. I have two cats myself. I’m a musician with a flexible schedule so I can make time whenever they need me. Happy to do over nights or pop in visits. Ive found it best to try to keep animals routines and schedules as regular as possible from what they’re used to to minimize their stress.
“Azariah is the best! She accommodated last minute and my girls loved her! They are dog reactive and have to be walk separately and Azariah had no problem either. She’s the sweetest and communicated well with me. 10/10 will recommend and will be using her again”

“Mary Kay , Arrived on time was very professional, nice, and prompt. My dog Dro loves her everytime she takes him for a walk he’s happy and excited thank you Mary Kay for everything I would definitely rebook with her in the future!”

“I had a regular walker cancel for a life interruption last minute on my midterm test day and Lukis was wonderful. It was as if they were Kronk’s caretaker for months. He was happy and I had no worries about him while I was testing. I would definitely go to them again for any caretaking needs in the future.”

“Tara has been amazing with my eight-month-old puppy, Rosie! On the days I have a 90+ minute commute, I know Rosie is in great hands. Tara makes sure she’s walked, played with, and has everything she needs, including food and water. She’s incredibly communicative, reliable, and someone I trust completely. Tara continues to be my go-to for pup care, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pet!”

“Randi professionally amicably, efficiently and thoroughly cared for my Shih Tzu during this last trip that I was gone out of state. I really appreciate the way that she took care of my dog and documented with thorough feedback. I feel confident using rover.com because of the communication and the insurance.”

About: I grew up taking every opportunity I could to care for and spend time with my neighbors' dogs and had a family dog for 6 years. I have experience with administering oral and topical medications, as well as with treating minor wounds and infections. I also volunteer regularly at the Humane Society which has given me extra experience with dogs with trauma or disabilities, and senior or unsocialized dogs. I'm currently only working in-person during the evenings Monday-Thursday. Other than that I'm mostly working from home and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I unfortunately don't have a yard or lots of room in my apartment but I live only a short walk from a dog park, which I'd be able to visit regularly. I mostly work from home so I'm able to give frequent walks and snuggles!
“Callie did a fantastic job taking my dog out for walks this week! She is friendly and easy to communicate with, engaging and caring toward my pup, and I would absolutely reach out to her again for pet care.”

“Lauren has been wonderful with our shy girl. She has taken the time to get to know her, and Gala definitely enjoys her walks with her. I highly recommend Lauren if you want a caring, responsible and reliable dog walker.”

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals ever since I was a child as my family had a farm when I was growing up. I have also rescued most of the animals that I’ve had and wish to rescue way more in the future. I’m currently enrolled in Schoolcraft community college studying nursing. I don’t have a job at the moment and have a lot of time on my hands so I would love to take care of your precious babies I actually will not be able to take care of your pets at my house as I do have some pets that don’t get along with other animals so I wouldn’t want to take the risk but I would love to come to your house and take care of your pets and walk them and look after them exactly how you want me to
About: What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and genuine love for animals of all temperaments. I have experience caring for both energetic dogs and sensitive cats, including shy or anxious pets. I pay close attention to each animal’s routine, body language, and comfort level, ensuring safe, stress-free walks and visits. I treat every pet like they’re my own, with reliability, consistency, and lots of affection. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine as I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to each pet’s needs. I am able to plan walks, feeding visits, and playtime consistently throughout the day, including mornings and afternoons. This allows me to give pets reliable attention, follow their routines closely, and provide calm, unhurried care without time pressure or distractions. When caring for pets in clients’ homes, I prioritize safety, trust, and respect for the environment at all times. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, ensuring pets remain secure, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I maintain a calm, attentive presence so animals feel safe and relaxed. I also respect the client’s home by keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. Building trust through reliability, clear communication, and responsible care is at the heart of everything I do.
About: I’ve been a cat caretaker for most of my life, including my two fur babies, Zelda & Yoshi, numerous pet-sitting sessions for friends and family, and years on Rover! I will treat your babies like they are my own ❤️ I work 9am-6pm from home, but otherwise I have a flexible schedule with plenty of time for drop-in visits & (very important) playtime and snuggles. I offer complimentary “getting to know you” visits so that you and your furry friend(s) can meet me and go over your pet’s needs and preferences. I love sending photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind and see how your pet is doing.
About: Hi! I’m Stephanie—your pet’s new favorite human (besides you, of course 😉). I bring a calm, reliable energy and a whole lot of love to every visit. Whether your pet needs structured care, space to warm up, or just a fun buddy to hang with, I meet them where they’re at. 🐶 Dogs: I regularly care close family's/friends pets and am all about the details, from making sure meals are eaten and vitamins/medication are taken on time. I groom daily, monitor mood and energy, and I'm happy to offer long walks or even car rides if your pup enjoys the adventure! 🐱 Cats: I’m no stranger to cat care! I maintain litter boxes, ensure regular bathroom use, and always make sure your kitty is acting normal, content, and stress free. I’ve also bottle fed newborn kittens on a timed schedule so I can handle delicate care if needed. 🧠 Experience: I grew up caring for a high-needs senior dog who was blind and needed daily medications. That early experience taught me how to be incredibly mindful, patient, and in tune with pets’ body language. I’m comfortable with shy, energetic, or medically fragile animals alike. 📸 Daily Updates: Expect silly photos and updates with every visit! I’ll happily text or message you as often as you’d like. I’m comfortable with home security cameras as long as I am aware they are there. Your pet’s comfort, health, and happiness are my top priorities. Let me know how I can make their time away from you feel safe, relaxed, and full of love. 💛 My schedule is completely open as I currently work remote, this means your pet will be getting all the attention and love while you’re away! When caring for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I always make sure doors are securely locked, food and water are fresh, and any pet-specific needs (like meds, vitamins, or grooming) are met with care and patience. I pay close attention to behavior and mood—if something feels off, you’ll be the first to know. I also clean up after pets, make sure litter boxes or potty areas are tidy, and double-check that they’ve “taken care of business” before I leave 😉. I always treat your space with respect and keep it clean, just like I would my own home. Above all, I want your pet to feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away.
About: I have had all different kinds of pets throughout my life, this includes turtles, rabbits, hamsters, fish, hermit crabs, guinea pigs, and a chameleon! I love all animals and am committed to meeting their needs. I’m an assistant teacher so I’m off work for the summer and looking to fill my time with what I love most- animals! Since I am not currently working I have ample free time to help accommodate your schedule. My main goal is to make pets feel as relaxed and loved as possible. I take things slow with meeting new pets, especially those who are shy or stand offish. I try to read them, read their needs and above all else follow their what their caregivers have instructed me to do for them.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Forest Park
Raven has walked Harlem multiple times and she has boarded him she sends me so many videos and her commutation is amazing she takes such good care of my lil pug also she had a midnight walk that work for me since I’m a bartender on my late nights she such a joy for me and Harlem he will see you in a few days

Heather was so great with my boys. One of my boys is very slow and takes his time with all of the smells. He’s older and has leg braces so going at his pace is very important. My other boy is so anxious and scared of everything, especially strangers. She took her time with both of them and didn’t rush or push them. It’s so important with my two rescues that they are treated kindly, exactly the way she treated them.

Jessica came right away when I realized I had a very busy day of work. She took my boys out for an hour, which takes a lot of patience. One is always a nervous wreck and pulls on the leash/ is reactive, while the other is a slow walker and smeller with leg braces- a mix that is usually enough to drive anyone crazy. She did amazing tiring them out for me and I’d hire her again! They just got back, and they are both already asleep!

While our time working with Christian was shorter than expected - the times he was able to assist my Belle were wonderful. He’s communicative and thorough - but it was his genuine care for my senior dog that really stood out to me. My dog usually had a male aversion when she first met new people - but she took to Christian quickly and easily. It put me at ease knowing he was giving her the attention she needed during the day when I wasn’t there. We were lucky to cross paths with him.
